In The Dark, Despair And Nowhere : Collection

Disillusion

A cry fades away as time passes by,
Sinking into a pool of endless light.
I am drenched in wishes that refuse to disappear,
Nothing left to take away my fears.

I am walking back to find the fragments
Of a heart which has been left broken.
Nothing can change me, not even love.

As I run, a ribbon of wind dances,
Pushing away smiles of everyone around me.
Strange eyes throw me glances,
I cannot seem to find an ending to this story.

Little balls of moonlight dart in the sky,
Full of laughter and life.
When day comes, they hide and wait for the night.

I am lost in a dying world,
Confused and speechless as a history unfurls.
Nobody reaches to help me, my heart shatters
And is enveloped in eternal oblivion.

Helping hands fade into a greying day,
Warm breezes have melted into a cold place.
What will happen to everyone, I cannot see,
For now, I remain just a memory.

This is a very nice poem! You broke the flow a couple times ("I am drenched in wishes that refuse to disappear," "When day comes, they hide and wait for the night," for example). If you read it aloud once or twice, I'm sure you'll find the rest of the awkward places =)

PM me if you have any questions!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
