What To Write!

In My Poetry

PreviousNext

I am not sure what to write about,

Where to start, what to cart.

With words that jumble a stifling bumble-

Will I ever get a start?

Words that wave like mighty magic,

Jumping out of hats of tragic.

Words that dance like food and funder,

Sing a line of mystic wonder.

I am not sure what to wonder-

Amidst the gaming gamblers.

Maybe I should switch a genre,

And go for a round of gesture ambler.

Should I pen a pun ,of the mighty warren gun?

Or rather type a nun, whose got a chosen coloured bun?

Or rather say a spree of words that jump with gas and glee?

Maybe they will make some sense,

As I make amends and free.

Now that I am at the end of page,

Wonder what has come to sage,

My mind is of a fiscal maze,

Oh, what to come of gauge!

I close the book to take a break,

And swim around the golden lake.

Zap an idea in my head,

Like a dose of crazy glaze!

Thus the chapter ends my head,

Words all go like the wind-

I clench a paper, with a pen,

Set to start a win!

And that, my friend, is how you write,

Should you ever fall respite,

Don't you worry, like a furry,

You will get to know the why!

I love this poem..Every writer struggles with this. I think it's called writers..block? I don't know. Anyway, I love the way you rhymed. It adds to the greatness of the poem. You really have a why with words...It's amazing! I feel silly writing this because you're like, 19 and I'm only 13..but still I love it! I hope to be a writer when I'm older and this is exactly the kind of inspiration that I need. Thank you so much!
You don't have any mistakes either, which is pretty good! Keep up the good work! Again, I fell really silly doing this...lol

Don't feel silly! That feeling is happiness/fun/awesomeness. Embrace it for it will let you flow your way with the words in your future writings. xD
Thanks for the feedback! :D
And trust me, don't feel awkward. I maybe 19 but I feel like a 5 year old sometimes and I love that feeling! xD

I love the idea behind this poem. You know your way around words and are able to grasp the reader within the first few syllables.

I would be careful using rhyme though. It seems a bit forced at times. It's like you chose the words because you wanted them to rhyme, and not because of what they mean to the poem.

There are also some slight errors still in the poem, like a misplaced comma or incorrect placing of words. Like when you say: "Maybe they make will some sense", I think what you mean is: "Maybe they will make some sense."

That being said, I think it's still a great poem.

Ah, shoot. Didn't notice that typo error. Will fix that! Was a little sleepy headed when I wrote this. Thanks for the heads up! :D

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.
