A torrent unleashes,
as the clouds let go.
Rain pours down,
as all gets lost in the flow.
The days are never ending,
something’s not the same.
The barriers are breaking,
there’s nothing left to claim.
His voice is resonate,
as he turns to the sky.
Instead of a burning plea,
out comes a lullaby.
These weakening walls of faith,
neither lost nor found.
Not so long ago were concrete,
but have now been brought down.

First of all I really enjoyed reading your poem. I like how your poem has good rhyme. I think that if you added or broke it up into stanzas it would have more of a poem feel. Also I think that it would make the poem better if you added more detail and made it a little longer. I think with practice though you will become a even more fantastic poet than you already are.
Keep up the good work and I am excited to see what other things you will write about. :)

Hahha. The thing is, that each of the four lines was supposed to form a stanza. I forget to space it that way while publishing it, and didn't notice the error. :P
Thanks for pointing it out :D
And I hope you'll like my other poems as well!

I really liked this!

The rhyme scheme seems to work very well. The piece flows nicely, which is good. I enjoyed your word choice; I thought it was very appropriate. I also thought the title was fitting. My favorite line was probably, "His voice is resonate, as he turns to the sky. Instead of a burning plea, out comes a lullaby." I just thought that was brilliantly written and made the poem strong!

Thank you! :D
Heheh
It was my favorite line too! :)

Hassanfs, hello! I see you're a little new, do you need any help? If so, you can ask me whatever! :)

I only have one error to point out. "Were" doesn't fit right in this particular part. "Was" matches better.

"Not so long ago were concrete..."

That was all. You're a natural poet, unlike me, but I still love poetry. I have some Maya Angelou poems, a whole book of them; feel free to ask me to copy one and give it to you so you can look at them!

Thanks!
Umm as "walls" was plural, shouldn't it be 'were'?

Oh really? :D I don't know what to say. That's the first time anyone has called me a natural poet :P Thanks :D
I'd love to read the Maya Angelou collection! :D
Thanks :)

Your welcome! Listen:

Remembering (title)

Soft grey ghosts crawl up my sleeve
to peer into my eyes
while I within deny their threats
and answer them with lies.

Mushlike memories perform
a ritual on my lips
I lie in stolid hopelessness
and they lay my soul in strips.

-Maya Angelou

Wow...just Wow..
This is amazing.
Thanks! :D

Well, I really liked this, although I didn't quite understand the true meaning of it. I am not the best at deciphering poems, so that's nothing to do with the actual poem itself, but more to do with my density.
Rhyming: consistent, not forced, which is impressive, because a rhyming poem that isn't quirky or humorous is actually quite hard to do. Nice job.

Punctuation: consistent

Grammar, spelling, capitalization, vocabulary: Flawless

Flow: So here's where I get a little picky. I do have some suggestions, though, that I think would improve the flow. I mean, overall, it's not a brain hurter, but it could use a little polishing up in this area.

Your flow mostly broke at every fourth line. For example:

A torrent unleashes,
as the clouds let go.
Rain pours down,
as all gets lost in the flow.

I suggest changing /as all gets lost in the flow./ to something like (to keep the rhythm):
/all gets lost in the flow./

Here, as well, I suggest you change the fourth line up to keep the beat:

His voice is resonate,
as he turns to the sky.
Instead of a burning plea,
out comes a lullaby.

I suggest you change it to something with these amount of syllables; something like:
/he recites a lullaby./

So this line was a little iffy:
These weakening walls of faith,

It's quite long and breaks your rhythm. I suggest trying to shorten it up accordingly to keep the beat. Perhaps, simply:
/These weak walls of faith,/

Besides a little nitpicking amongst the rhythm, this was good and I really enjoyed it! I think the rhyming worked really well, which is a big plus. The imagery was also great. As GigiHarris somewhat expressed, I felt like I was in a rainstorm, that started very hazy at the beginning, with the rain pouring down on me and blurring the skies and the universe. As the poem went on, I felt like some great creature, perhaps something like God, came down as a man prayed in the midst of the horrendous storm.
I felt like he prayed, and God broke everything; the storm crashed everything down.
I repeat: excellent imagery.
I would love to know what this poem was about, if that's all right.
Overall rating: 8.5/10

Thank you sooo much for the review. When I first started editing this, the lines were really long, and although I did somewhat trim them a bit, I was hesitant to change them too much. Because I tend to go a bit overboard on that and make it into something completely different. But yes. I get your point. The flow does appear to be interrupted at some parts.
What is this poem about?
Well. Thats up to.
I didnt want to add 'faith' in the poem in the most general of meanings. It can be anything you truly believe or trust in. This for me, was about overcoming personal hinderances, and to grow away from them. To resist the urge to do something, that you so desperately want to do so.

Thanks again for the reveiw and kind words :)

Thank you for explaining the poem's meaning to you personally; I really appreciate it. I love your work, and if you ever want me to review something, I'd be happy to!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PIECE OF POETRY! <3
When reading this poem, at first my mind got hazy (a good kind of hazy). Along with the torrent my thoughts seemed to flow. Then as the poem continued to the middle part, the haze was clearing. At the end of the poem, the final four lines, left me feeling infinite. Wow.
This poem is just...wow.
Hope to read some new poems by you!

Keep writing,
~Gigi

Thanks!!
Hope you like my next one as well :D
