One of these days,
you'll wake up from this slumber.
Realisation will coast in,
leaving you in wonder.
One after the other,
these trivialities will pause.
What now is,
will soon be was.

Hello CapitalMonday, here to review. I like to begin on how you use the rhyme to create a beat to whoever will read this and how the flow of words can make a message really pop. When I read this, i feel a beat after every word and after every word there is a rhyme. I think the best of the poem is a heartbeat or speaking of someone and how the tone compares to the whole poem is an A+. Also how you use internal rhyme to also make up the beat too..
The flow of these words give out a message as of when you wake up from your tired slumber, change will be around every corner waiting for you to come out and get ready for you to change the world. When you make the change in your life, the thought of doing it will soon become a reality to those who want to wonder and explore.
I really enjoyed this poem as much as anyone else! Keep writing.
Farewell,
CapitalMonday
Hello there!
Another poem, I see?
Ok, this is great! The title though, I am not sure about though. Just as long as it appeals to you. I like how you emphasized the "is" though by making it italicized. Awesome! You are a great poet. I still wanna see more from you. Don't give up and always write!
Thanks
Heyy Hassanfs

I always look forward to your poems and I am never disappointed. :3 This is yet another amazing poem. I like how it's brief, bold and straight to the point with no explanation of whom exactly the poet is talking about which leaves the readers to guess and let their imaginations flow and think about all the situations this poem could fit in. When I think about it, it reminds me of all the people who are obsessed with petty valueless things and it makes me wonder if they'll ever realize how foolish it is when they are belittling the important things in life only for something which doesn't matter.
I don't know what other things you are good at but you certainly work your magic with words.
Keep writing,
~Gigi
Thank you for yet another amazing review

Your interpretation was pretty much spot on. I hope you like the next one just as much
Hi, here to review as promised!
So, the first things I noticed were:
1. Length and 2. Rhyme scheme
I like short poems, I do, but I was a little confused with this one. We didn't have any background on who/what this poem was about; you kind of just stated something in rhyming form. I like it, though, so not going to get too worked up about that.
Rhyme scheme; hmmmm. I liked it, and it definitely added flair to the poem, especially the ending. Talking about the ending, it definitely was confusing at first, but a couple times of rereading and I got it.
My main question is: what was this about? As such a short poem, I really had no idea what or who you were talking about. This would most likely work better if you extended the length, in my opinion, so I/we can better understand who you are talking about.
Overall rating: 8/10
Keep writing, my friend! You have great talent!
+1
Thanks for reviewing

I love your reviews and always look forward to them
so...as I mentioned somewhere below, this poem is about taking things and people for granted, in favour of others, and only realising their importance when it's too late.
Thank you! I look forward to reviewing your works as well, because they are always excellent!
Aah, now that I understand what this is about, I would definitely give you an improved rating. I also now think the length contributes because, like losing people/things, after you lose them, it seems so short and sudden. Kudos to you, my friend!
It's lovely Hassanfs. It gives the feeling of one of those romantic beach scenes in the movies and all you hear is the tide. Like saying this is the push and pull of time, forever in motion. Great work.
Thanks for your comment. hahaha.
Rather than a beach, this takes me to a mountain top, sitting on some rock thingy with my legs dangling over.
Hmmmmm to me it seems like someone who woke up from the appearances of the world. (Well maybe I think that because sometimes my poems are based like that but I really think maybe that's what you were going for.) I might be wrong but perhaps that was your intention, that this poem means something different for every other person. Maybe suddenly the person is wondering what is this really all worth?
And perhaps the trivialities could be topics such as materialism or the fake niceties people can sometimes display to each other, "Just to keep up appearances " You know. Also you can feel that it is inevitable that time will pass and there is a sense of hopelessness that you can't do anything to stop the flow of time. I don't know maybe I'm a bit in the deep end here (Sometimes I become too much of a deep thinker!) it could just be the idea of change that you started with.
I personally don't mind the length, there are plenty of poems that can be short and vague. Sometimes I find that these are the ones that sticks the most with people. I'm sure that people who like to mull over things a lot and decipher meanings get a kick out of this. (I did!)
What was the meaning behind it when you wrote it?
Nightscape
Thanks for your review.

I don't normally tell others what exactly I have written about, but given how everybody is asking what it means, I'll stutter on.
This is about taking things and people for granted, in favour of others and only realising their importance when it's too late.
Hmm, are we talking about a middle school kid who sleeps through his alarms? Are we talking about lost love? No?
Maybe I'm just picking it apart. As lovely as the words string together, do they really mean anything to you? Perhaps you wanted it to be a short poem. To me it sounds like a scroll I would pick up somewhere in Skyrim, which is pretty cool. Keep it up.
It can be about whatever you want it to be
I like my poems to be as cryptic and vague as possible, so that others that form their own interpretations.
