Every time I push you away,
You pull me in closer.
Every time I push you away,
I think I push away a part of me with you.
Every time I push you away,
I just don't want to
Let you go.
Every time I push you away,
You pull me in closer,
I give in without any fight.
I fear that you'll only break me
But somehow it feels so right.

Hello GiGiHarris,

This is Magenta here to review your poem, Just Can't Let Go, which I must say is well-written. You are a true poet. Romance, huh? Alright, I have some suggestions for you as you continue on in your poetry.
Firstly, the repetition of "every time I push you away" isn't really helpful. This poem is about romance and how you can't let go of her which makes this contradict that. You wrote that every time you push her away, I don't want to let go. Why would you want to write that when you don't want to let go of her? But then you stopped doing that at the end of the poem.
"I fear that you'll only break me
But somehow it feels so right."
I don't really see how this is right. It just doesn't sound like the rest of the poem's theme. It might just be me because I am crazy, but this just didn't sound right. Anyway, I think that everything else about this poem is well-written and great!

Hey there Kat here to review for you, I love romance poems!

Okay so you may know I like to hit hard with the bad stuff first and I am a total chatter box so listen up
1.I don't like how you used the line "you pull me closer" twice it just seemed a little dull. I kind of wish you had had something more longing and desperate in there to show how he/she really feels about the one h/she loves but just has conflicted emotions for
2 I didn't like how you seemed to use every time I push you away a lot in the beginning and just dropped it...that felt like it really dethatched from the meaning in your beautiful poem here.
3. "I just don't want,
To let you go"
Big issues of mine is where people break the fow of their poems like this, if you read it that part seems a little forced and unnatural.
Man it looks like I totally hated your poem. NOT TRUE, I LOVED IT. Just let me get the good stuff going. I really liked your title, a good title like a good hook in the book draws the reader in to your story. Also, in really good poems it's like the title is a big part of the story itself in a way. I like how you had the line let you go in there sort of like the title but maybe if you had the actual title in there it would click better. But that is personal preference haha. I also liked how you said that pushing them away was like pushing away a part of you, because that's how you really feel when you are in love...like when they are hurt or when you push them away it hurts you too...like you cant be with them but you can't be without them. It's such a confusing emotion to deal with. I also liked how you were able to describe and accurately convey your emotions in such a little amount of words to your reader. nicely done. I look forward to reading more from you in the future.
Keep it up
~Kat
I think this is a poem some people can relate to on a personal level. She obviously realizes the mistake she is making. Yet she still chooses to stay with the person. I feel like I am a close friend of this person not just someone reading a poem.
Hello
Again, I really enjoyed your work so here a quick review!
First of all, great title choice!
I really love the topic you chose to write about, it was totally relatable!
my favorite lines was by far:
,,Every time I push you away,
I think I push away a part of me with you''
Really beautiful phrasing and metaphor!
Keep up the excellent work,

Giggggggi

I love reading your poems, they are so good!
About this one, I beautifully got the meaning, the depth.
Your words, the meaning it carries clearly shows it comes from your heart.
I understand what you wanted to convey. Love .
The feeling of not being able to let go of someone. Feeling you are an part of that person because he/she is an integral part of your life.
I wish you just simply write more and more poems. Nothing else.
Becoming your fan maybe.
Love,
Krish
Thanks Krish!
