To be honestly speaking i really did not like this poem. Dont feel bad but everyone has their own choices . I Believe every writer or poet have their own way of expressing their feelings through various schemes and plots. Anyways.. I Dunno why i did not like this poem maybe because of the offensive language you have used. Fine its your wish .. use words but then the poem looks more of a boring type. I Also did not like this line
I had iss but it was worth it
What did you mean by that?
Anways Keep Writing
HAPPY REVIEW DAY
This poem is far from boring if you lived through the stress and pain of it.This is a series of true events about standing up for myself after a 6 month relationship of abuse. To answer your question ISS is in school suspension and it goes on your record and is a form of punishment at my school. When I wrote those lines I meant I got in trouble but it was worth it to finally regain my freedom. Referring to your complaint on my wording, it clearly says 18 for violence, mature content, and language, so if you are easily offended by any of those things head warning to the rating i took the time to add! I don't know if you have ever tried to tell a story with your poetry but this was the first time I tried. I appreciate your opinion.
Thanks
Hi, Gabrielle,
I respect the way that every writer chooses to express themselves, especially in times where their feelings are hurt. From a literary standpoint, I'm afraid this poem does not hold much literary merit for me; it's unstructured and angry, as if you're hurling your words at what I assume is your ex.
Here's the thing: a lot of us go through break ups, betrayal, wars with infidelity, etc. and all of us could write a poem about our anger. You could bring something different to the table by exploring your inner feelings towards the situation creatively, rather than just recording what you would spout in a general argument.
As a general rule, spell check is always a good idea. I'm not going to go through this and pick out the parts that are spelled less than well.
Hope my advice helped,
June
