"Tis the season to be jolly." I thought with disgust as I slammed my door upon entering my room and flung myself on my couch. Hot tears coursed down my face as I struggled to keep my anger and hurt inside. I couldn't. Being safe in my room, I started screaming.

"Because everything that goes wrong around here is because of me!" I screamed in a mocking, high pitched voice.

"Why do you have to be such a bitch?" I screamed out at my mother, even though she couldn't hear me. I continued on like this for a few minutes, until I exhausted myself and flopped down, still crying. I had just gotten finished having a fight, one of several, with my "mother." It was the same old fight, on and on about I am so stuck up and rude and hurtful and disgusting and a bitch. I raised my hand to the marble sized lump on my head, relishing the pain that happened when I touched it. This lump was the result of my darling mother throwing the computer trackball at me. I managed to calm myself down and even stop crying. I was sooo damned tired of this!

"I'm done. I am finally done!" I yelled out. "For seven years we have been fighting, about different things and for the past four years it's always been the same! I am tired of you putting everything on me. This, for once in my life, is not my fault!! You've ruined my life anymore and I'm done! I will do what I want and you can go to hell!" I stopped, breathing hard. Here I was, seventeen and I was still treating like I was ten! For years I had been told that I was nothing but a lazy, selfish, bitchy hag who hates everybody. And now, I was being blamed for the way my seven year old sister was turning out! It is soo not my fault she is an idiot, and selfish and mean to boot. Why was everything put on me? Why do my parents refuse to see the real me? It is true that I can't stand my sister, but in spite of all my trying, I am still the one who gets most of the punishments and yelling.

"I'm done." I muttered again. I have dreams, I will make them come true, I will live my life, no matter how much they try to stand in my way.

~~~~~
Later:
My head is throbbing, thanks to the lump my mom decided to bestow on me. Of course, Dad takes her side. I am so done trying to explain things to them. They are so convinced that I am the one who thinks she's perfect, when it's really them. Turns out, the trackball bounced off my head and hit the T.V, which broke the glass. Guess who's getting the cold shoulder? Me.
Why is my life so messed up? Is it really me?
I used to try and live my life for my parents, to make them proud. Right now, I don't give a damn. I am going to live for my friends and me.
woah.
like seriously. woah.
These adolescent-puberty-hormone thing really messes with our heads, doesn't it? It also looks as though it takes away the brains of those around us, no one understands what being a teenager feels like unless you are one (come on, mum and dad, you WERE our age once).
I can relate to your rage a lot. So i have a sister too, and she is the so called "younger one" (even though we're actually twins, i was born like five minutes before her). I admit it always feels like i am the one who is scolded more often; its the elder ones who have to take the responsibility after all (these so called norms of society).
I find that, though, once you've cooled down and have had a calm, understanding chat with each other, it helps a lot. I mean, a few years later, we'll be adults after all; and then who'll tell us off?
So what i'm trying to say is, sometimes, we'll just have to take it, then shrug it off. I've mastered the art of taking in lectures through one ear and removing them out through the other ear, my mum can go on talking and i literally won't register a thing (it amuses both us both a great deal). We have just a few more years, and then we're off, so why not go with good impressions? (all this is my own experienxce through being a rebel from age 13-16).
So this was really well written, you were able to relay your emotions very neatly. There are a few errors, but i'm gonna overlook them for now (running a little short of time, you know what i mean).
keep writing.
I kinda want to quote that one song from Guardians of the Galaxy, "Oooh child, things are gonna get easier..."
I understand the rage. I totally do. Sometimes it feels like the whole world hates you and all that hateful world is being channeled through the parents. I've felt it too. I think all of us teens have.
How to Understand Parents When They Make No Sense 101: Sometimes even they don't know what they're saying. Sometimes they do, but every once and awhile they don't. About them saying you made your sister turn out the way she did, that statement is based on opinion and not on fact. What is more factual is that the children are a direct byproduct of the parents, so the parents are what make the child or children the way they are.
I suddenly had the thought to quote the song by Will Smith, "Parents, they just don't understand!"
Writing can be the best way to let it all out. I have on more than one occasion screamed entire speeches in my mind (not out loud obviously) and then after I finished my silent diatribe I didn't feel like killing anybody.
You can always count on me to have the weirdest ways of making you feel better.
I'll need them, Believe me. Thank you!
Whoa!!!!!!!!
Okay, first off.........I KNOW EXACTLY DOWN TO THE EARTH HOW YOU FEEL!!!!!!!!!!!! and you may think, "What Is she talking about? How can she possibly know Exactly how I feel." and I may not have been hit in the head by a trackball, but the fight I had with my parents had some results that included the police. And it still scares me.
I Didn't come here to get a review because honestly I feel like this was something really personal to you. I just saw that this really happened to you and I went to take a look. What happened to you sounds very painful. Trust me, and if you ever have any more of these types of days, you can just go on one of my blogs, and post your heart out.
Your not alone. Trust me. Ill be praying.
Thank you so much!
All we can do is our best, and hope that it was enough.
