A Deathly Christmas Parody

Deck the tombstones with black roses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be dying,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Dress the dead into their tux’s,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Bury Great-Great-Great Aunt Carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing corpse before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the match and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Help me bury this old treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell you of their will,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Fast away the old people pass,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
One died from cancer in his ***,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Sigh we glumly, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Headless from the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

I know a worse version. :D

I like it though. and your topic is on FIRE  (there is no fire emoticon so the devil smiley will have to work)

Very morbid, and I actually think it's very good. I do think, though, that it could be improved upon, slightly.

The first two stanzas I would rework to make rhyme (I know, I know); I think it could be really great then.

I would personally change the "tis the season" phrase, and the "tux's" phrase to make rhyme with the others, if you want to do this.

Still, enjoyable. I'd like to hear a children's chorus sing this, as a Weird Al type of thing.

Morbid...to an extreme degree. I am depressed now. You've got imagination, though, and the sick nature of these lyrics actually cause it to be amusing, in a...creepy...sort of way.

Wow, a lot of comments....
Maybe I should parody a few more songs for this morbidly, yet, surprisingly "HAPPY" holiday.

"Bury Great-Great-Great Aunt Carol,"
Waited a bit long to bury her ay?

"One died of cancer in his ***"
That is my favorite line and because it isI feel really immature.

I thought it was hilarious! Did you here the one that goes something like this:
"tis the season to be naughty
falalalalalalala
deck the halls with poison ivy
falalalalalalalala
somthin somthin somthin (i forgot)
light and old man's beard on fire"
:?:

This relates to previous comments how?

The Black Rose wrote:My boyfriend just broke up with me so this is how I cope... I try and try again to laugh as hard as I can.

Why are you making excuses for yourself? Nobody was accusing you of anything. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but that's just the impression I got from reading this particular piece, and by posting it here in the first place, you are opening yourself to criticism.

Because, of course I claimed that I did. I still maintain that there's better work to put on this site.

LIFE DESERVES WHAT I HAND OUT!

My boyfriend just broke up with me so this is how I cope... I try and try again to laugh as hard as I can.

AND YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!!

It wasn't... bad. But it seemed forced and very purposefully morbid. As though before writing it, you had set out to write a dark parody of a christmas carol then laughed about it with your friends before shoving it onto a literary site in hopes of pulling a few more laughs.

The Black Rose; you can do so much better.

Nuh- Uh!
I can make it however I please!
Saying it's supposed to rhyme is like saying that it's supposed to work out in the end and we can all be happy :(

My favorite part is:
See the blazing corpse before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the match and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

AND THAT RHYMES!
