Your friendship came with a star (*) mark
But at first, I ignored it.
It’s true that I enjoyed,
Every single second of every single minute
That we spent together.
Yes, I sincerely loved,
The way we laughed and fooled around
And though I had known you for
Like 13 days, it felt like 13 years.
Yes, they warned me about you
But I ignored them
I definitely did not see what was coming next.
Yes, something felt off that day
but I thought everything was okay.
Your friendship was precious to me,
But not more than my conscience.
Yes, trusting you was a big mistake
And now that I acknowledge that star (*) mark
That your friendship had,
Everything we had feels like a dream
Where I was unconscious.
And now that I see you for your real self
I refuse to accept
The terms and conditions
That you applied

HELLO THERE! THIS IS MEMORYHUNTER~
It might be better as:So I like the idea you have here with the terms and conditions and things. I love works that focus on friendship because I can relate to them a lot, compared to those of love, which is quite ironic considering I make romantic poems frequently. The idea of this poem is very authentic and raw that it managed to strike my veins more than I thought.
Here are some suggestions for you to ameliorate your poem.
1. Stanzas
The poem will be more organized because as of now, it just seems like a long blob of stuff. Of course, there are different sizes of a poem and different styles too, and I get that there are one stanza-poems that exist in this world. However, this would have been more pleasing to the eyes plus the rhythm would be better, if you had separated them into more stanzas.
2. A variety in punctuation
Try semi colons, dashes, everything. Heck, you can even add an interrobang if you like. Also, you might want to improve your punctuation. I might not be the right to one to say this because obviously, I suck at the field. But I just wanted to point it out. For example,
"And now that I see you for your self,
I refuse to accept
the terms and conditions
that you applied."
And I don't know why, but I think this part would be better with
"And now that I see you for your self,
I refuse to accept
the terms and conditions
that you have set."
But you know what, do your own thing. I for one think "applied" is perfectly fine. It's just my brain thinking half rhymes always work.
3. Standard capitalization
I think it's better if you use the standard capitalization scheme here instead of the Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Line technique. The CTFLOEL(Capitalize the blahblah you know) technique is more appropriate in arcane-feeling poems or poems that give off a shakespearean feel or something. You get it. Anyways, you don't have to do it if you don't like it. It's just a recommendation.
4. Imagery
Now, this poem doesn't seem to be the "more imagery" type, but I feel that it could be better with it. Show us how precious their friendship is by imagery, like with mementos or whatever. Poetry relies heavily on imagery (though some neglect it because it's kind of an art style nowadays, I don't know), and I feel that you could enhance your already intense poem with it.
Okay, that's all I can give now, keep on writing! This poem was definitely a good one --- I wouldn't think about the asterisk and everything. It's evident that the writer has experienced this situation.
As always, happy writing~
I love the idea of terms and conditions and an asterisk.
You loved every second of every minute and I think we can all relate.
Friendship is something special, but as your poem portrays can quickly become something more dangerous.
Your poem flows freely.
It feels natural.
I like it.
Keep writing!
Very good poetry, keep writing.

Hey fangirldivergent46!
So this was a great work by you because thoughts flowed like feelings. Like what you feel. The title was incredible and what a thought girl!
And truly it sometimes feel like friendship is taken by some people for granted!
Anyways, do add more punctuations in your poem because it is very important for a poem to have punctuation marks.
"And though I had known you for
Like 13 days, it felt like 13 years."
Over here, i think u should remove either like in second line or change the line a little because like is breaking the flow.
Overall the poem was good!!
I loved it. And
"And now that I see you for your real self
I refuse to accept
The terms and conditions
That you applied "
Favourite lines.
Keep writing !!

Um... When did you review this? But anyway thank you for it! And I'm glad you liked it!
Oh no!! How did this get posted.. It was a late back that wrote the reviw!!
Amazing! This is the word I can use for your poem. Its is the mirror actually of words. Situations which we can relate to in real.nothing to criticise but many reasons to say thanks for you write such a nice piece that I hardly resist reading again n again. Though I can also relate it to self. Sometimes a day seems like a year long.
Hope to read many many more.
Loved it truly, heartily
Blessings!
Thank you.
that really means a lot to me.
This is a great poem because of how it relates to the real world. People tell not to be with some because they say he/she is "Trouble" or "Will break your heart", but you listened to your heart and head and went for it. However, then the person betrays you and you realized your friends were right. This is just how reality is and you feel like you can no longer trust people you hang out with, until your friends come and help you. You are the best writer i've ever read and loved the symbolisms you used in your poem.
Hope to read more from you, Kman134.
I'm glad you liked my work
I loved this so much!
Glad you liked it
I really liked this poem because it had a lot for true things in it and all those things relate to reality. One of the things I would like to point out is that you are one of the best writers that I have read today. Also I would like to point out is that this one of the things that do relate to reality, like when you said when people warn you about things and you don't pay attention to them, and that is true because if you don't know what the people are how will you know what they are like. Thanks for writing this poem and keep writing them.
Thank you for the review. it really motivated me
your welcome!
Hello! I am HavenBuzz, and this is a review for you.
First off, I can tell your story is filled wth voice, which is a very good thing in any piece of writing. Though at times, I feel like it was to 'voice-based' and less poetic. an example of this is;
"And though I had known you for (((comma can be used)))
Like 13 days, it felt like 13 years."
I feel the word 'like' upsets the flow of the poem. I find 'about'or 'only' tend it fit better in the terms of story telling, and also tend to show the reader that the writer knows what he/she is doing, rather than showing them the writer doesn't care.
also, at times, I noticed that you tend not to use any punctuation when is makes sense to use it. examples;
"Yes, I sincerely loved (comma)
The way we laughed and fooled around" (period can be used to end this line)
"Yes, something felt off that day" (B in the next line is line is not supposed to be Capitalized and a comma can be used)
"Yes, they warned me about you (comma)
But I ignored them" (period)
At the end of these lines (and more that were not mentioned), you were able to use commas and/or periods to help create the flow you want in a poem, instead of making the reader re-read those lines and read them slower to try and find where the pause between thoughts is, and incorporate them themselves.

Well thanx for the nitpicks and I'll surely see what I can do.
no problem, But I forgot to mention, I really did enjoy this piece, a lot of the things you mentioned are, though sad, very true. I apologise if my enjoyment wasn't clear.
Nah that's fine! And thank you for your support.
