E - Everyone

In My Poems

Talent without discipline

Gets you nowhere.

If everything was easy

Everyone would be an ironman champion.

Unfortunately, this doesn't exist here,

Because of the people that hurt each other.

But it is possible you have one.

The trick is,

Can you find it?

Some of you may have to dig deep into the ground to search.

Some may have it buried deeper.

But you can't reach it until you work for it.

Hey! ChocolateCello here! Happy Review day!

I'm running a bit low on sleep so I'm going to keep this quick.

I would like to say that I loved the (very true) meaning in the poem. "Talent without discipline gets you nowhere" You put it into words perfectly.

One small problem though is this line.
"I wish that everyone in the world has a gift."
You changed tenses here. The 'has' should be a 'had'. (I haven't had a chance to look over the other reviews/comments so I apologize if I'm repeating anyone.)

I hope to see more work from you soon! Keep writing!

Alright, Atsmai here to review, let's begin.

I like the idea that talent without discipline gets you no where, you have to learn how to control your talent, and you have to find your talent deep inside of yourself, but I do believe that everyone has a gift in their own sort of way. You can't find your own gift until you work for it. I love the poem and what it means, it's very well done for someone your age, good job!

Hey there Kat here to write a review for you and the fire nation.

I wish I knew if I had a gift , haha... I'm good at a lot of things but not really great at anything . Anyways, I really liked your poem it's cute, honest , and motivational . I do wish it was a little longer and more descriptive.

"I wish that everyone in the world has a gift"

you should either change has to had or change wish to hope . It's more correct that way .

Sorry that this is so short and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Don't forget that, on the flip side, discipline without talent usually won't get you to the highest levels of any thing. Professional athletes usually have it in their blood. Don't see too many 5'6'' basketball players.

Hello, priceofwords here!

I really liked what your poem was about, I don't think I've come across many poems about our gifts and talents. You used no rhyme scheme, which made it fresh and nice to read.

No problem! Sorry my comment wasn't longer, I didn't have much time.

Hey Curiosity! It's Imaginator17 here!

Now, this could be a really great poem, but I think there's some minor details missing that we can fix.

"Talent without disciplined" "Disciplined", should be discipline.
I also think that in "Everyone would be a ironman champion." "a" should be "an" it matches the sentence better.

Now onto the content, which is a little too vague. When you say gift, what do you mean by it? Talent? Like you mentioned in the beginning? or do you mean an actual physical gift? I think you mean talent, but it's not made all that clear, and the two lines:

"Unfortunately, this doesn't exist here.

Because of the people that hurt each other."

So you're saying talent doesn't exist because of the people that hurt each other?

Who are the people?

And in what way did they hurt each other to get rid of the gift?

That's all I really have to say for now.

Keep on writing, and message me if you have any questions?
