"Help me." She screamed as the others came in.

They dragged Alex away from the rooms they had been using and down into a smaller room with no windows.

"Is he going to be okay?" Melody asked frantically looking up at Sarah and Luke.

Luke inspected his wounds and pulled out a pocket knife and some stuff that looked like grass.

"Go look through all the crates in the other rooms. Look for water or any other liquid we can drink. Also I need sterile stuff. Look for med packs and alcohol." He said pulling away Alex's top.

The girls ran off and looked through the crates that were still intact.

One of the crates that Sarah looked in was full of Whisky. She grabbed 3 bottles, dumping two in her bag and opened the third to drink herself.

Melody grabbed it and took it away from her.

"What?" She cried.

"That's whisky."

"And?" She said stumbling.

Mel looked at the half empty bottle.

"3 - 2 - 1..." She muttered.

Sarah fell to the ground unconscious.

"Can you guys hurry up?" Luke called.

"Sorry." Melody said struggling with another crate eventually she was able to rip it open.

This one contained several guns and lots of ammo. She saw a Machete under one of the guns. She grabbed it and used it to pry open another crate filled with rotting blankets. She yelled and kicked the crate.

She hopped clutching her foot.

She stopped as soon as she spotted a red cross on one of the crates she ran over and ripped it open pulling out a fully sized medical bag. She dragged it back to Luke as well as a bottle of whisky and water.

Luke looked surprised but got straight to work on Alex. He pulled out a container of sterile operating tools and cut open Alex's chest and removed a rather large piece of shrapnel.

"What is his blood type?"

"AB- I think...” She said holding Luke’s hand tightly.

"You think?" He said sceptically. "What is yours?"

"Same as his."

"Really?" He said sounding really surprised.

She nodded stroking Alex's hair.

"Why?"

"He needs blood." He said stitching his chest up.

Luke rummaged through the bags and found a transfusion tube

He attached two sterile needles to either ends.

Melody looked terrified as Luke wrapped a cloth around her arm and tightened it.

"You okay?"

"Not exactly."

Alex moaned and moved his arm.

Luke looked worried and put the needle in Alex's arm and then did the same to Melody.

Mel watched the blood flow into Alex.

She felt herself wobble and she nearly fell.

Luke gently guided her down so she was lying next to Alex.

She slowly drifted off to sleep.

"I-I-is he okay?" Mel asked weakly.

"He's fine darling." Luke said stroking her head. "He's just resting."

"What about Sarah?"

"Sarah? She hasn't come back."

"Shit." She said getting up with a sudden burst of strength.

Melody ran towards the room they were in. When she got there two soldiers wearing full face masks spun around with their guns pointed at her.

"Please don't hurt us." She begged.

"Put your hands up." The larger soldier said pointing a gun at her head. "Cuff her and put her with the other one."

"No" The smaller one said.

"What?"

"I said No"

"Stop fucking around and do it."

"NO." The small one yelled pointing his gun at the other soldier.

Melody wobbled and collapsed passing out.

The other soldier glared at him and said. "It's not like you're going to shoot me."

The small one grinned and shot the other man.

He grabbed his knife and cut Sarah free who ran towards Melody.

The other man had pulled his mask off and dropped it to the floor.

He backed away from the body and slid down the wall.

"Shit are you guys okay?" Luke said frantically.

Sarah nodded. He scooped Melody up and took her back to the room that Alex was in.

When they got back Alex was sitting there eating a ration pack. He smiled and said. "Hey."

Luke gently placed Melody on the makeshift bed next to him.

"Alex should be able to walk again but he needs rest." Luke said leaning against the wall. "In the meantime we need to prepare."

"Sarah. Go get more gear from the crates." Luke said. "As much as you can carry."

Sarah grumbled and stormed off.

"Wait. I want to talk to Melody alone. Can I?" He said weakly.

Luke looked wary but left anyway.

"Hmm?" She said sounding annoyed.

"Melody I just wanted to tell you that I love you and no matter what happens. I will always be at your side. I've loved you for a long time now. You've always been there for me. While we've been growing up together you've always been there for me to lean on when I needed support."

She went bright red and tried to control her cheeks.

She moved closer to him and leaned on him, holding his hand.

"I love you too Alex." She said softly.

He smiled and gently kissed her on the cheek.

She blushed and squeezed his hand.

Sarah went into the room that was full of crates that had been left there by an old military post. She was staring out the window when two soldiers escorted someone out to the courtyard. The person had a bag over there head and was tied up. The two soldiers made the person kneel and took the bag off his head. She saw Kelvin's rugged hair as he was staring down. She gasped and tried to look away but something stopped her. She watched in horror as the soldiers raised their guns and shot Kelvin. She let out a silent scream and slid down the wall. She pulled her knees up to her chest and cried.

Alex looked up startled at the sound of the gunshots.

"What was that?" He said squeezing Melody's hand.

She stood up and ran out of the room where she bumped into Alex who was loading a gun.

"Did you hear that?"

"I saw it."

"Two soldiers just executed a boy looked about 13 or 14."

Her mouth dropped open and she ran down the hallway looking for Sarah.

"Sarah?" She called out running into their old room.

Sarah was curled up in a ball on the floor crying. Melody pulled her into a tight hug and rubbed her back.

"I-I-I-it's m-my f-f-fault." She said through tears.

Melody pulled away from the hug and sternly said. "No it is not. If anyone’s it's my fault. I was the one watching him. I was holding his hand. I tried to go back for him but there was too much gun fire." She said breaking into tears. "I'm sorry Sarah. I tried to save him. I really did."

Sarah's eyes darkened and she punched Melody in the face and then tackled her beating Melody senseless.

Luke heard the screams and ran down to where they were coming from.

He wrapped his arms around Sarah's waist and dragged her back.

Melody was in a bad shape she had blood all over her face and was unconscious.

Luke calmed Sarah down and carried Melody back to Alex.

"What happened?" Alex said urgently as he saw Melody.

"Sarah. Freaked out and beat the crap out of her."

He lay Mel across Alex's lap and gave him a wet rag to wipe away the blood from her face.

Alex gently stroked her head.

Sarah walked in and slid down the wall.

"What do you want?" Alex scowled.

"I'm sorry... I was just angry." She said quietly.

"THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO BEAT MELODY UP." He screamed pulling Melody closer.

Sarah ran out of the room and smashed into Luke.

He wrapped his arms around her tightly and kissed her on the top of the head.

"It'll be okay darling." He said rubbing her back.

Hi! Here for a review :)

"What?" She cried.
"That's whisky."
"And?" She said stumbling.
Mel looked at the half empty bottle.
"3 - 2 - 1..." She muttered.

Wait, so does Sarah drink the whisky? You say that she took a bottle to drink for herself, but never actually mention her drinking any...
Melody wobbled and collapsed passing out.

Comma after "collapsed"

Okay, this all happens way to quickly for my taste. There's no descriptions in here, we don't know what the setting looks like, what the people look like, why anything is happening, who is on who's side, its all very confusing. If you slow it down and add more details, the reader would have a better grip of whats happening with these characters.
You also have no backstory on why these people are in this situation. How do they know each other? Why are they falling in love now? I read the first chapter, and I still have no idea whats going on.
You've got ideas here that could be great if you add just a bit more meat onto the bones. Can't wait to see what you come up with, I really like the characters you've got so far! Keep writing, and I hope this helps a bit!

You didn't read it then! :D

I enjoyed reading this. I love the scenes; I can imagine them in my head and I just love them. I think there is a lot going on but that's pretty cool. Your writing is very good.

I'm sorry if this isn't much help because I'm not that into prose.

Keep writing.

Hmm...

This is interesting.

It needs a little work, here and there.
I think you paid more attention to your writing.
I can't think of anything else, though.

Keep it up, I wanna read more.

Thanks,

You have to be a bit of a liar to tell a story the right way.
