Want no part in this war of yours
Don't want to hold you while you scream
I don't need this
I don't need your pain
---
I'm fighting a battle I can't win
You're dragging me under
I'm holding onto you
But I'm losing my mind
Losing my world
As you hold me in your sins
---
This isn't my battle
This isn't my fight
I'm sorry but I don't want to be the one
To hold you when the nightmares come
Deep in the night
---
I'm fighting a battle I can't win
You're dragging me under
I'm holding onto you
But I'm losing my mind
Losing my world
As you hold me in your sins
---
This is what he says, and I am shattered.
This is what he says, and my already broken spirit
Collapses
Did you forget all your promises?
How can you say you don't love me
When you are my only
I'm sorry I'm not worth your days
I'm sorry I'm not worth the goddamn pain
---
I'm fighting a battle I can't win
You're dragging me under
I'm holding onto you
But I'm losing my mind
Losing my world
As you hold me in your sins
As you hold me in your sins

Hello there BitterRosemary. I just got done singing this song in my head. One thing I noticed is that this song can be very dark. When I read these lyrics I think of someone evil, who is messing with someones head. The more they get inside their head, the more insane they go. Eventually they are going crazy to the point they are being dragged to a mental hospital. "dragging me under". Once they are at the hospital, they become dangerous and they have to kill them. Now, the evil person isn't really a person. It's life and they're holding onto life as they try to kill them. "I'm holding onto you". Then she is released from life and are in her own sins. Which would be heaven or hell. Now they will be held there forever. That is what I think you were trying to get at, if not I'm sorry if I offended you at all. Well, keep writing and one day you could make it big. Bye.
no prob I'm always open to new interpretations.
However, that is not exactly what I intended by this song; It actually is more literal, about a real girl and a real guy who she's pretty much addicted to, but she gets dragged into his bad life. But also like your interpretation. Creative! THanx for the review and for the complement! BitterRosemary
Hey, thehotinpsychotic here to review!
I liked this. I agree with the other reviewer, how it's not like a lot of other songs so it sticks out a little.
On the first line, 'Want no part....' I think you should put an 'I' in front of 'want', because without it I think it sounds ugly and cheapens the line. 'I'm holding on to you' should be 'I'm holding onto you'. This is probably a typo, but in 'I'm sorry I'm not worth of your days...', worth should be 'worthy'.
Everything else was great! Keep writing.
This is pretty original. Most songs and poems are about love and accepting a person's flaws and everything. But no, this person is just saying I don't want to be dragged into your problems.... Very different indeed.

Sorry I'm not very good at reviews!!
Really like it and I hope you can write more of these
No problem!! Thanx so much!!
You've written an amazing poem. This poem has a lot of feelings and I must appreciate that. Continue writing such poems. Good luck!
Thank you that means alot to me
