Hello CapitalMonday here for a review. i like to begin by saying how you are describing a blank canvas but all in all, this poem is confusing. Since what is the purpose of this poem without giving proper reason or tone about what you trying to get across.

Nitpicks:

The structure of this poem is great and all, but that upper case in middle of stanza, kinda threw me off (to be honest. ) Maybe try putting the A down by the sentence it belongs to. Also there is not period at the end of poem (which is proper punctuation, for most poems).

shows nothing like a blind person trying to see this simile doesn't make sense to me since a blind person can't "really" see since they are blind. Maybe saying a blind person looking or going underwater and closing your eyes (something similar to these would make much more sense)

as clean as the paper it is printed on this is a good use of a metaphor, just not in a proper way of use (if this makes sense). Maybe just saying there is a blank canvas

To most of my poem I review, i try to find something good about them and this poem has one good thing about it. That is how you can create something by looking at a blank canvas.

Farewell,
CapitalMonday

Hey, yo, Awsomesausness! Strange here on this fantastic Review Day and I have a review for you! I didn't get the point of this poem. I understand you are describing a blank canvas, and how it's beautiful and stuff, but you didn't deliver it. One of the major problems of this poem is that it's short. I understand that most poems that are good short, but they have this special pizazz in them. This, doesn't. This does need some working on, but it left me confused. What was the point of the poem? Maybe the canvas was lonely? I'm not sure. This lands flat in all ways. Let me get onto a few nitpicks.

yet it shows nothing like a blind person trying to see

A

blank canvas is just as beautiful, clean, and blind as the world its in

This is awkward. Throughout this poem, you use no punctuation. It kind of ruins it. Especially in these three lines. Where does this random A belong? It left me confused. I've never seen this done in an artistic type of way. Oh, and that poor use of a blind person. That wasn't a good metaphor at all. Sorry, but it wasn't. You need punctuation, and it still left me confused.
Overall, meh.
Strange gives you..
Meh/10
Meh job,
Keep writing,
Stay groovy, my friend.

Hello! KatyaElefant here for another review! Let's see what we have here. Oh and Happy Review Day! I hope your's has been nice because mind has been!

I feel like this poem needs to be more organized. You need to make it into two or even three stanzas. An idea on how you could format is this...
A blank canvas is
only as clean
as the paper it is printed on
and only beautiful
as the nature around it
yet it shows nothing like
a blind person trying to see

A blank canvas is just as beautiful,
clean, and blind as the world its in

I can't organize this piece very well because you need more work into this. You need more imagery. You need to describe this better. I cannot imagine this piece in my head and that is not a good thing. Try adding on more details. Think of all the senses. Think of all the things that you can do as a poet. Also you need punctuation. You have none whatsoever. That could help smoothen things out a bit. Also a nitpick: where you say, "blank canvas is just as beautiful, clean, and blind as the world its in". You need to have it's not its. It's expands to it is.

For the things I like. I like the general idea that you are trying to set up for this. You could create something amazing with the idea you have! Overall, good job. Keep working! Keep writing! :D

Short poems drive me nuts because I have a big imagination, but I guess that is the point. I do like the poem though, do not get me wrong. I feel like it has a deeper meaning that even what you may have thought it to have. Yet it's so clear, it's just the way you take it in, honestly. It amazes me sometimes the spin people put on simple things, the mind might have ignored, and it opens my very own mind more and more. It makes me a better persona and a better writer, and so I thank you for that. Keep up the good work!

Here to get you out of the green room.

I agree that punctuation is need here, as it can show the transition between thoughts and it just seems to fit well in this work. At least a period at the end of each thought would suffice.

Also, I would have liked a much more in-depth analysis before going straight to the end. The last two lines seem to just have nothing more than another description added to it. If I knew more why it was unlike a blind person, I would feel more connected to the piece. I understand a short and sweet poem might help someone think harder about the meaning, but I need more in order to really picture the canvas and the feelings you are attempting to convey.

Overall, nice diction and a job well done. Hope this helps!

You always leave a mark on something, whether you intend to or not. It is your choice what mark you leave.

I don't think the last two lines quite as much as the first two lines but that is just my personal opinion, I just don't feel that they fit.

Hey, Asteria here to review!

I like the feeling that this poem brings forth. To describe the possibilities of a blank canvas in such literal terms, using the examples to evoke the feeling of perfect possibility is wonderful.

My only remark would be on your formatting. Where there is a lack of punctuation, only reading aloud shows where the natural pauses or endings should be. It's not to say that you need to change that for it to flow, because it flows from how I've read it and, if it's a stylistic choice, I'd never dream of asking you to change it. The formatting portion that reads off to me is how you've broken up "A" from the rest of the last line. It reads, and looks, disjointed.

I love this poem, though, and look forward to reading more from you!

Uni here for a very short review...

I love this, it is very short and descriptive, and gets right to the point. I love the imagery it creates for me...

Keep on reviewing! Keep up the good work!
