Hello! :D
I agree with Flash, I believe you need to write something that happened for it to be an actual prolugue. Though I do have a suggestion that could make this very helpful to readers... :)

I've read a book where the author did list the characters, and a little description of each. Maybe you could do this in the beginning. :D This really helps when you have a LOT of characters. :) It helps to keep track of 'who's who'. :D

Anyway, I think you could put a little bit more description. :) Other than that, I really think this is a good idea! :D I can't wait to read your fabulous story! ;)

Someone below said this is a prologue.... Honey, this isn't a prologue.

A prologue is kind of like a beginning to the story. Not a chapter one, but a "chapter" that explains some things before chapter one even takes place. Get what I mean? So no, this short character biography isn't a "prologue."

Also, this might confuse some people. It would be helpful to put an author's note explaining that this is a character bio instead of a chapter (which is what you've submitted it to.) It's misleading.

Also, it would be more helpful to have a longer, more detailed character biography. Writing bios is fun, but it should reveal a lot more information than just favorite food, class, name, etc. I'm not telling you to tell us everything about Jean, (because we should learn about her as the story goes on) but give us a bit more details. Give us her height. Some of her traits. Etcetera.

And my last word of advice here is to place a character bio such as this perhaps at the beginning of an actual prologue/chapter or at least submit it elsewhere. Instead of submitting it under "Novel/Chapter" you could have submitted it to "other."

I'm sorry if I sounded rude. I promise you that wasn't my intention. I'm just trying to help you and give you some advice for future reference. Can't wait to read this story and see what it's about.

Keep writing!
~Flash

Is this a character in a book? I don't understand. :)

Note to readers: this is the prologue to her story. (We discussed this on the bus..)

I think that was when I began to realize that reputation isn't everything. I should focus less about how others perceive me and more about what makes me happy. Because, in the end, I have to live with myself.
