I bought/read every single one of these books when I was in middle school. My copy of Redwall is falling apart lol. I gave the chant that they sing in "salamandastrom" a tune, and I sometimes catch myself humming it. I'm not a nerd....

I don't really like them. They seem to have bunched all the animals into generic groups of good an evil, and it NEVER changes. Redwallers are perfect, and ferrets, stoats, and all others are evil.

The other thing that bothered me was the predictability. I can always guess who is going to die, (it always has to be one of the main charrys).


The last thing is that if you look at the books, every single one of them is exactly the same plotwise. And there are like twenty of them!!

Soo, I guess not my favorite books. I liked them for a while, but not anymore.

they are really good books, i have read allot of them, after the first 10 or so, they kind of seem to be the same after a while.

All my friends think that Redwall is a dumb series, but they haven't even read more than two of them! I love them, they're very easy to read and to get into. Not my favorite books of all time, and I really think that there should be a stopping point to the series, it's excessively long now. Still, they're by no means bad stories.

I have never read it but my BFF loves the series and talks about it 24/7!!! lol! From what I hear, its kinda odd. I'm not the biggest fantasy luvr though.

*laughs* Gawd I can't believe it. I haven't read any of the books but I watched the cartoon series last summer, during the holidays because I had nothing better to do. I might give it a try or give up like Nox. *laughs*

You mean outcast of redwall? He wasn't good. If not which book? Maybe I havent read them all.

I loved the Redwall series, but I probably won't ever read them again. If I did, they probably wouldn't be as good since I've matured as a reader by a lot since I read them. I liked the otters the best.

Oh and I did not like that all the rats and ferrets ect. were atomatically evil. How bout a bad mouce? Or a good fox?

Read most of them... they were great for me as a young kid, full of swords and riddles and villiousness yet humourous villians... couldn't read 'em now, though, except for laughs, they're all too similar.

I read ALL of them. They get kinda repetitive. I still like them.

My personal favorite was the Legend of Luke... don't know why

I own a whole lot of them, but I've only actually read three or four...lol...I read Redwall and Salamandrostom this past summer and then I got sick of them. Redwall is my favourite...I like that mouse (Matthias)! And the badger...what's her name? Constance?

I thought the books were only so-so. Some of them had some good stories, but they just didn't go deep enough and make you think enough for me. If they would have developed the characters better and added a little more plot twists and heart-wrenching details, it might have been better, I also noticed they were a little repetetive which I don't like.

It took me a while to realize that they're fairly repetitive. You read one, you've read 'em all. Still, I can't say that I didn't enjoy them when I was younger, but they've sort of exhausted themselves for me.

I know I've read Redwall and Mattemeo all the way through, but only part of about three others.

TV serises of books are usually lame. I once saw one on Terry Pratchets "Bromeliad" triliogy, which they made look boring, (which, if you've ever read the books, you'd know that you need a very special skill to make those books boring and unfunny)

My fifth grade teacher had us read Redwall for a class book. I was hooked for about two years, then I lost interest. It gets kind of long, and I hated the lack of chronology. Did you know they had a TV series for the first book and part of Mattimeo a few years ago. It was lame!

I read a few of the Redwall books back in sixth grade, and loved them at first. But by the time I got to the fourth one, it just seemed kind of repititive and I got bored of them.

I havent read them in about 4 years or so...wait...yes, maybe...

Hehe, I read them all like three times. I loved and still love them. It's been a while, though.

I've read every single book in that seris (except Loamhedge, but my brother owns it, so I'll get round to it sometime...) They're kind of corny... but I like them anyway! They're all different in a way, The Long Patrol is sad when heaps of people die in the end, Marlfox is the funniest with that hare everyone keeps laughing at. I aviod reading Martin the Warrior, I can't stand it how Rose dies...

Its ok. Not that good, although the part about the evil ferrets trying to take over the world and stuff was pretty cool...hey...I can go somewhere with this. J/K
