The Last Light OOC

Hello survivors, and welcome to the world of The Last Light. This roleplay is going to play out a little different for all of you and for me as well. This world is a mystery, and it's a mystery that we will collectively unravel as the plot commences. This is also a world full of strife and very real danger to your characters. Death is likely. This is going to be a deeply personal story for our characters while also being a slow paced venture into the unknown.

My goal for this roleplay, as a DM, is to introduce you to this world and explore it together, and find some answers to the questions the world naturally presents.

OOC, there will be a lot of questions, and I will try my hardest to answer them. Sometimes I will be intentionally vague, and sometimes I will straight up say that I cannot faithfully answer that, either out of hope that we will explore that question in the story or that I just do not have an answer for you and we can explore it together.

This roleplay is welcome to everyone, but it is a small cast. To join, I only ask that you be fully prepared to jump into this world and immerse yourself in the plot and lore. If this is intimidating to you, please let me know and we can work it out together! ^^

is there an age range for the characters? just asking cause i wanna make a kid

There is no age requirement, but there is an age... expectation, if that makes sense. You would want your character to have a reason to be going on that expedition, which is very dangerous, and even more so for a child. Just to keep that in mind yknow ^^ but go for it, I'm down to see what you're brainstorming

Maybe the child has a parent or someone close to them in Peoria? Or was on the way to Peoria from an earlier scouting party that never checked back in?

Our first lore update! Everyone, when making your characters, if you are planning on making them an Onlooker, there's something you may want to know regarding that:

-There's no exact science as to how one becomes an Onlooker, but many think it is someone who was either born directly under The Last Light, or were around when someone was taken by The Last Light.
