Why can't we see the other review team clubs anymore? :/
It was fun and good for the community to leave a little encouragement (and competitive but friendly banter challenges lol) on the other team's wall and now they're just completely invisible. Even we don't want the members of the other team posting there (which I personally don't see a good reason for, but perhaps there is one), we could at least be allowed to see their posts and interact with likes.

Edit: I can now, thank you Nate!!

Hmm is there a way a shadow could be added to the review day text at the top of the screen? I was playing around with some background options and if you have a light-colored bg, it's near impossible to read the next.

This could be far-fetched, but I wonder if there is a better system to changing your username rather than having having to message a mod change it for you? The wait in-between names is completely understandable, or even a limit, but what would it look like for the user themselves to change their username in the settings? Obviously, I'm unaware of how much this could mess up, but I'm curious. Also, how unlikely would it be to suggest a slightly smaller wait time between name changes? :)

Re: suggestions, as per my question on the roleplay forums, I wonder how much demand there might be for ttrpg style games and if we should trial one?

@cherie ->> The current method for changing usernames is a policy decision, and we do it that way for a couple reasons. One reason is that we are effectively discouraging it by requiring extra steps. But secondly, my fear is that it would lead to abuse. Someone could do something against the rules, quickly change their username, and it would delay how fast the mods can react.

@CelticaNoir ->> That'd be interesting. Adding in a dice mechanic would be a relatively small change, or were you thinking of something more?

I really like the "edit profile" and "share something" buttons integrated right at the top of the people & forums tabs.

Just a few preference comments - so could just be me!

I don't really like being able to see the club likes on the people tab, especially for the clubs that I'm not in, it feels a little random / noisy to me. I think there has to be a bit of a balance between notifications / updates so that the information feels useful / and so the useful and important notes don't get drowned out. We already get notifications for new information in the clubs we're subscribed in so it feels a little redundant too.

I really like that the writer log stuff is getting noted in the People Tab - great way to recognize people that are quietly working on projects!!

Did the "export" of one of my folders - it was pretty slick! Very cool to have all those different options -> my poems that were images didn't transfer over, which is not a big deal, but did want to point out.

A few minor formatting suggestions for things I've noticed --

Snoink's piggy stars now wrap into two lines when she makes a forum post - could they be resized?

In the forum tab at the bottom where it shows who is online it feels like the "B" in "Community briefing" ought to be capitalized like the forum headers.

Can the "M" in "Global moderator" also be capitalized for the GM usergroup for consistency sake?

This might be controversial... but a suggestion -> in the future can we limit the number of characters in a username? I see a few spots where usernames are getting cut-off, and I wonder if limiting folks to 10 characters as a "suggested" limit might be a good idea?

Also question - is there a way to see the previous featured members like there used to be?

Lots of great changes Nate!

@alliyah ->> Thanks again for the detailed feedback!

- Club topic likes are removing from the following feed. That was an unintended bug.
- Snoink's pig stars *should* be always on one line now
- Community Briefing is now capitalized
- Global Moderator is also now capitalized

On the export of images, thanks for letting me know. I think that should be fixable.

For username length, I agree. I was curious, and looked up the distribution of username lengths. Capping it at 10 would be too restrictive as that would block nearly half of all current usernames, but there's a big drop-off after 12 characters. Ultimately, settled on a cap of 15 characters as that would affect about 8% of current usernames.

Although, current usernames are unaffected. Only applies to name changes and new registrations going forward.

I think the new font looks very classy and clean!
However, I do think it is too small or thin in some areas that make it hard to read. I think one area that highlights this are the tabs on our profiles (About, Gifts, Portfolio....). While eligible, it still feels a little harder to read. Another example is any sub-text, it's harder to read. Perhaps it's my bad vision, or that I need to get used to it... but I feel like I have to focus a little more because it is a little more difficult to read in these areas, plus a few other areas. Even as I type this, the "Message autosaved" little note below the Quick Reply textbox is difficult to make out at first glance.

I realize now that my browser was set to 80% zoom and when I changed it to 90-100%, everything felt too close/big. I do wish there was a nice middle ground. Not quite sure what can be done, but wanted to give some feedback on my PC viewing experience!

@cherie ->> Thanks for the feedback! I've noticed the same. I changed it to a slightly different front that's just a little bit thicker, and also bolded the tab headings you mentioned.

@CelticaNoir ->> Did you click on Dark Mode? Look in the footer at the bottom of the site. You should see a link to "Light Mode" there to bring back color. Or, keep it on dark mode if that's what you prefer.

i once again come to ask whether there's a way to disable smilies! there used to be an option to disable them for forum posts but it seems even that is lost now. i would love to be able to disable them for wherever i'm posting throughout the site

Could the "My Challenges" link be linked somewhere more prominent, or incorporated into the "All challenges" sub-tab somehow? I stumbled on it when I joined the 75 lines for August challenge, partly because I went looking for it (things ticked over on site, so I, in a very smart move, grabbed my phone to see if Garmin had updated theirs yet. Spoiler: nope. Timezones, yo. But, that did remind me that they have "past challenges" right there on the front page).

Absolutely loving all of the changes made to the green room and publishing related however as I was reviewing this fine review day, I stumbled across an idea. It would be super useful to have a way to annotate works as you read them! I noticed the "quote in review" button that is super handy but being able to highlight certain passages that you want to refer back to or being able to write personal notes on passages as you read would be very convenient! I'm not sure if there would be an easy way to implement that or not but just an idea I thought I'd share!
