"My mom taught me about a lot of things I could never experience like her. She was a rogue too. Before a doll killed her." Lidya looked down with watering eyes. My heart jumped in my chest. Flashes of my mother's death shot across my mind. I sniffed and looked away.

"I...I know how you feel...my mother was killed when I was 5...by Dolls." I lowered my head and let my hair fall down and cover my face. I didn't like it when people saw me cry.

"I just...have never understood why. Why were the Dolls so mad at her? At us? My mother was always so nice to them...she was nice to everyone. So why-" My already very quiet voice faltered. I didn't want to talk about parents anymore...mine were both dead. And I wished with all my heart that I had protected them.

I suddenly remembered that I was talking to a Doll. I looked back to her and quickly backtracked.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to sound like every Doll was bad! I know they aren't! I know you aren't, I'm sorry!"
I gasped, a hand still over my mouth and nose.

(Again, sorry for shortness!)

(Sheesh sorry, I wanted to post sooner, but I had too much stuff to do!! I like whats going on with the story, Tabby, I think you'll work out fine! But beware... Davie has hidden knowledge... mwahahahah.... :P )
Davnick

I walk over to our main camp, mumbling to myself and inspecting Fang. He was nice and strait now, thank goodess. That girl had scared the daylight out of me when she had bent him in half. I couldn't let it show though; I was dead on my feet from being on watch all night and irritated besides, but the whole world didn't need to know. That Rayden... thought he was so awesome. Just because he got Sheara out of the tree and I couldn't didn't mean she liked him more. Did it?

I grumble and plop down next to Sheara.

"Good morning Sisssy." I say tiredly, grabbing a roll. "How did you slee-" I realize she had been talking to somebody. A young girl with blond hair was sitting near her. I look at her in surprise. "Oh uh.... hi. When...?" I wave a hand. "Nevermind. We have so many random people joining us, I don't even care anymore."

She looks at me like I'm nuts. Which I probably am. "Uh, hi. And who are you?"

I look at her sideways, taking a bite out of the roll. "Davnick. Davnick Tarrish."

Her face turns pale and I sigh. Sheesh, I never thought I'd get irritated with my reputation. I just wish little blond girls would stop looking at me like that. I recall that Sheara didn't really look at me like that anymore, and she wasn't blond either... Point is, I need to nip this in the bud before she passes out. I swallow my roll and stick out a hand. "I see you've heard of me. I assure you that all the rumors you've heard are absolutely true." She turns an even whiter shade of pale. "But," I emphasize. "I don't just go around hurting pople. Isn't that right Sheara?"

Sheara smiles. "Oh yes! Davie is super nice! He wouldnt hurt a fly! Well... then again... he wouldn't hurt a nice fly, honest!!" I laugh at her explanation.

"Exactly. So, whats your name?"

The girl swallows, and seems to toughen up. I think I'm going to like her. "My name is Lydia. Lydia Hawthorn." Suddenly an old rumor I heard last time I was in a village on a job pops into my head. I had just started hunting Reva, and had stopped of in a tavern to hear the gossip. Taverns were the cheapest and easiest way to get information for a bounty hunter. Something about a girl named Lydia... and a famous bounty hunter woman who had passed away, last name Hawthorn.

"Aw great, another freaking bounty hunter..." I mumble. Why can't they just leave us alone? Sheara is looking at me with confusion, and Lydia is staring at me with horror.

"What are you talking about Davie? Lydia wouldn't hurt us... she's nice! Right Lydia..?" The girl continues to stare, and begins furiously braiding her hair. Poca growls.

"I knew-it."

"Everlee!" I call over my shoulder, not bothering to stand. I have my sonar blaring to make sure no other Dolls are preparing to ambush us, and I can see Darsor watching her intently. A shiver runs up the girls spine. Good instincts. "We have a problem!"

Everlee talks to Niyah for a moment, then leaves her with Seena. Reva follows, invisible to all but myself. "What?" She asks, putting her hands on her hips as she stands behind me. I jerk a thumb at the still stunned Lydia.

"Shorty here is a bounty hunter. Just thought you should know." Niyah gasps.

"Who are you calling shorty, idiot!!" I glare at the stab to my less-than-impressive hight, but ignore the girl.

Suddenly, Reva becomes visable next to Everlee. " I knew it!!" She exclaims. "I knew there was something wrong about her!!"

I stand, bored and tired. "Well, you guys do whatever you want with her. I'm climbing that tree over there and taking a nap. Wake me when we break camp." And with that, I walk away. I doze off to the sound of fighting, and have aweful dreams of thunder, and a loud ringing in my ears.

(Sorry if you had plans for Lydia and I ruined them. I can change whatever I need to! Davie is just sorta the Bounty Hunter master... and sorry to stick Everlee with the new problem, I drew a blank! :) )

Niyah stopped, the entire world falling away beneath her. That girl. She was a bounty hunter.
Everlee sighed, running her fingers through her dark hair, and Seena stood speechless beside her. Everyone was silent.
"A bounty hunter, huh?" Everlee said sadly.
"Have we proven ourselves worthy of a testing facility yet?" Seena spit, stepping forward and placing her hand on Everlee's shoulder. Reva glared at the small, petite blonde, her eyes seeming to penetrate deep into the girls flesh.
"Don't waste your time on her. We're nothing but beasts in her eyes." Niyah shivered. She didn't know how to react. SHe wanted to yell, she wanted to scream at the girl who had nearly ruined her fragile peace. But the action was just out of her reach, and no matter how hard she tried she only remained, there, standing as motionless as a statue. And that's when everything went black.
Sleep, little angels, Don't be afraid
Close your eyes to the ocean of wonder
Drift in the sky and orbit the moon
my precious little star gazers
and when the sun rises, don't wander astray
follow the path back to me
because as you awake i will be waiting there
y arms open to only thee.

The woman finished singing, brushing a strand of unruly hair from her eyes. It was a face Niyah knew well, a face she saw every day in her own reflection. But this one was older, and more worn. It was the face of a woman, not a child, a face that told the tale of hardship.
"Mommy, lease don't go." Niyah whispered softly. She was young, only three or four by the sound of her voice.
"Yes mommy, please don't leave us all alone." The words too came from a young girl, but Niyah couldn't see her. She was too busy glancing in fear about the small bedroom.
"Are you too silly girls afraid of the dark?'" Their mother laughed.
"No mommy," the other girl said.
"We are just afraid of what hides within it."

Niyah awoke to Seena, Everlee, and Reva leaning over her, each of their faces constricted with worry.
"Niyah? Are you all right?" Everlee demanded as she sat up. Reva immediantly backed away, the relief evident on her face.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you. I just haven't been getting enough sleep recently. Seena and Everlee looked at each other, then they both sighed.
"I was relly worried there for a moment. You shouldn't have scared me like that." Niyah smiled.
"I could never?" All three girls giggled. And then Seena stopped, a surprised look flashing across her face.
"What's wrong?" Niyah asked. Seena stared. Something cool dripped down Niyah's cheek.
"Niyah, your crying."

Lydia

I saw the tears well up in the little girls eyes. I reached out to touch her hair and thought better of it. It may look threatening, but then again. I still pulled my hand away. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to sound like every Doll was bad! I know they aren't! I know you aren't, I'm sorry!" I smiled and shook my head, brushing it away as if it was nothing. Most of us were but It didn't matter. Right now I was a quiet bouncy Liddy. Who posed no threat to this camp. I turned again to try and see the eyes that I knew were on me, nothing. I was going mad. Just then a boy came up to us. Taller than me, naturally. I made eye contact, but it was short and perhaps a little wild. I didn't like how he was looking at me. I pulled out my best smile, raising my shoulders and chest. "Who is this?"

Sheara smiles. "Oh yes! Davie is super nice! He wouldn't hurt a fly! Well... then again... he wouldn't hurt a nice fly, honest!!" He laughs. I try and laugh. But I was a nice fly. Yes a very nice one who could hardly even protect herself or walk with out tripping in the woods. I introduce myself as Lydia Hawthorn. Why hide my name now I was need deep in the plan. I tried to make my self look larger, a failed attempt. Then some thing changes in his eyes.

"I knew-it." Buggers. Not this early I jump to my feet and follow his direction with my head. How did he find that out, I was a nobody. Really. Except for my mother, mother yes he must be assuming from old stories about her. I could always claim he had the wrong hawthorn. I am merely her niece. No. I would never do that to my mother. He beckons to me with his thumb. Tells them that "shortie is a bounty hunter" well his height is hardly impressive.

"Who are you calling shorty, idiot!" I squeak and even allow myself one angry bounce, making a small cloud of dirt rise around me. I could run now. I could totally run and beat every one and they would never seem me again. I could zip up a tree just far enough away and then tomorrow night I could slip down and cut some one's throat. I watch Maria appear, a rogue not a doll I knew it too. I let out a small growl as the Davie-boy turns dumping me with the two girls. I bounced up and down again out of frustration and anger. I turned on my heel towards where HE was walking, up towards a tree. "Bounty hunger my backside." I hiss and wheel back letting my nails dig into my palm as I made a fist. And punched, It didn't matter where as hard as I could. Keeping myself centered, and grounded, swinging my abdomen with my arm. "My father was one of those and he left us." I let it come ripping out of me in a voice that even I found a little insane. Very well done Liddy.

I saw from the corned of my eye a girl fall to the ground out cold and the other two rush to her side. I would have to make up for this one later. Try and get them all to like me but if this went the wrong way I could be dead in a matter of minutes. Wonderful. My breathing was labored and I waited for the outcome. The girl woke. Crying.

(I hope you don't mind me slightly changing your go up in the tree plans. You can still do that and if you want me to edit this then I will gladly! And no problem Razzle. I wanted a little action!)

Reva

My eyes narrowed as Lidya pulled back to punch Davnick, and my body reacted. I leapt between them and caught her hand, then twisted it forcefully. I allowed my normally schooled features to show my murderous anger. "Rule number one of being anybody worth respecting," I hissed as I shoved her to the ground. If she didn't follow I would break her arm. "Never attack while the opponent's back is turned." Once she was on the ground I twisted her arm again, trapping her there. Any movement would cause her immense pain. "And you know what else bounty hunter? I'm not just any rogue, you just messed with the invisible rogue honey." I held her there, doing my best not to kill her. No one, and I mean absolutely no one betrays my friends. Niyah looked horror struck, Sheara looked the saddest I had ever seen her, and Everlee and Seena? They looked accustomed to it. This is happening too often Darsor. It has to stop.

What can we do?

We turn invisible, we will do what we do best. We will protect.

I felt him agree and nodded in affirmative. It didn't matter who, if we needed to protect Rayden in order to protect Seena, then we would. But this would not happen again.

And then Niyah collapsed. I almost dropped the bounty hunter. My grip certainly loosened.

Lydia

As her grip loosened I took the chance, my arm would hurt but It didn't matter it had hurt before. I listened to her, I listened and I managed not to spit in her face. Her grip loosened and I slipped free, I took a few dancing steps back and licked my lips. She had that look on her face, talking to some one inside her head, who was she talking to.

"Listen, you can twist my arm all you want you can chain me to a tree and move your little camp where ever you want I don't care. But don't make assumptions about my family, or my life." I growled. My lips quivered and my eyes grew smaller as I managed to keep eye contact. "Where did you learn all that Davie-boy?!" I called out mockingly. My hands were on my hips. I wanted a fight, I wanted one so bad but I wasn't sure if I was ready for it. "Did you hear about how my mother was dead, dead and before that insane as she tried to kill as many rogues as she could just to try and get my father back with her, back on her side." I spat at the base of the tree. The lies came spewing out of me now but I needed them. They were good. Believable I thought. Unless any one knew my father's crest. I began to touch the necklace again.

I turned back to Maria. "Maria? I don't think that is your name and I never ever have seen a doll that can turn invisible." I said smiling. I let this smile fill with malice though, I let my eyes remain cold and hard. This was not the time for sane nice Liddy. This was the time for Lydia Hawthorne to prove to all of them that she too could fight and taunt and threaten.

Reva

"Maria? I don't think that is your name and I never ever have seen a doll that can turn invisible." She taunted.

That was a mistake. I was already angry, with that other bounty hunter Alec having tried to kill Everlee. My shoulder was burning with pain since i attacked little Liddy, I probably ripped it open. And no one escaped the invisible rogue when she was angry. "You're right. They call me Reva little bounty hunter. I don't believe that it's just an assumption either. No Doll makes as little noise as you, the normal ones don't look around them constantly, searching for prey. You my dear aren't what you act like, and I don't like fakes." Slowly, so that it went undetected, I formed daggers of light in my hand. Sharp, small and to the point, these could be thrown and land between ribs without me having to aim. They were my element after all.

Caring Reva was set in the back seat. If Sheara or Niyah was frightened of me after this I would deal with it later. But The Invisible Rogue was back, back and angrier than ever. I turned invisible.

Reva. Yes. "...No Doll makes as little noise as you, the normal ones don't look around them constantly, searching for prey. You my dear aren't what you act like, and I don't like fakes." I smiled. What did she think I was? No. She knew I was not a rogue. She just thought I was lying. Smart girl. I could learn to like her. If she wasn't a snobby ignorant rogue. "And I don't like you." I hissed. She turned invisible.

Shoot. Shoot. I couldn't let it show. I knelt down. Taking the blade out of my boot. I held it tightly, my knuckles white. I could go over to Sheara. Sit with her and tell them all to drop the act and leave me be or I would kill her. But not yet. I still had a chance of being accepted. That is if Mar---Reva didn't kill me first. I picked up a handful of sand from the ground. Holding it lighting in my free hand. Waiting. Ears pricked for her first move.

Darsor went in first. I wasn't stupid, I saw Liddy pick up sand to throw at us. The beautiful thing was, it is a lot harder to hurt a tiger with dirt than it is to hurt a rogue. I may have been invisible, but my sight was something I relied on a lot. Darsor didn't. It was his idea in the first place and I let him. We worked as a team. Always.

Always. He echoed and jumped onto the girl, bowling her over easily. He quickly retreated and it was my turn.

Our attack was based off of instinct. People were terrified when they couldn't see their enemy, couldn't sense them. Darsor and I had spent years practicing complete silence. We didn't make a sound, even when we were injured. The technique had become our nature, and it was a good one. But our battle abilities were greatly helped by the sheer terror of our opponents. Who wouldn't be frightened? What we were doing was really just toying with them. We attacked one by one, causing small wounds and bruising that got increasingly worse and we backed away before they could counter attack. Even if they landed a hit, they would never know if they actually hurt us or just made us angry.

I jumped forward and gave her a small cut with my dagger of light. It was too easy. This was nothing to when we battled Davnick. There was no challenge really.

And then it was cut short.

"Reva stop it." Everlee commanded.

Skylar:

I woke up. Apparently I slept beside Everlee under a tree. I stretched my arms and let out a big yawn. I patted the spot next to me, but it was empty. My eyes shot open and I quickly stood up. I saw everyone awake except for Elise, Jared and Tess, and some new faces.

"What's going on?" I asked groggily. I saw Reva with one of the new people and I squinted.

"What happened?" I asked again. Everlee gave Reva a warning look before walking over to me and explaining everything. I nodded and walked over to the "bounty hunter". I've heard of them many times, and I've seen them at their work. Just dolls wanting money. She quickly got up, and she looked tense.

"Calm down, I'm a doll," I assured her.

Who is she? I mouthed to her.

"This is Lydia!" Sheara piped in. I nodded and fingered my sword's handle, just in case she would pounce.

Jared:

I woke up in complete confusion. I had heard fighting going on and when I woke up, there so many new faces to keep track of.
I asked what was going on like four times but nobody listened. Fine with me. I'd just sit back and make sure nobody noticed Elise.

Tess:

I walked up silently behind the girl that Reva was attacking. Silent like a snake, just how I liked it. I tackled her to the ground. She gave a little cry, but I didn't let go. She struggled and i froze her to the ground. She was stronger than she looked.
"Alright, then. Would somebody mind telling me why I just tackled her to the ground?" I asked to nobody in particular.
If this was how the rest of the day was going to be like, It was going to be a very long day.

(Holy COW! This is such a short post! I'll post more later, though. I'm doing this during school, so sorry for how stinkish it is! :D As always, let me know if I need to change something! :D )

Lydia

I felt the force of an unseen animal bowl over me. I ran the blade I held through the air quickly, but if I did any thing it was no more than graze what was on top of me. I rolled up onto my legs just in time for Reva, lovely Reva to nick me with her blade. I turned on her swiping out randomly, trying to look clumsy in this fight. Again, a graze and only that.

"Reva stop it!" I voice came from outside of the battle zone. She stopped. The voice held power. I stuck out my tongue. Yes, very Liddy. Very quaint. It was then, when I was panting and dirty and a little bloody, that a boy walked up to me. I gripped the handle of my own blade, my eyes flickering to the handle of his own.

"Don't worry I'm a doll." He says almost reassuringly.

"Lovely. They why isn't Reva darling trying to gut you?" I asked smiling quaintly. I flicked hair out of my eyes and tried to relax my position. He was handsome, but nothing I was interested in. In fact, I was not really interested in any thing at this moment, Adonis could walk up to me and I would reject him.

Then I felt myself flying towards the earth. My head whipped back off the ground and I yelped. A girl had tackled me. I wondered how dirty the back of my shirt was, and how badly I would hurt tomorrow if I was still alive. "Get off me." I growled, my lips hardly moving. I let my hand flex around the dagger, it was cramping and I felt stupid. There was blood on my shirt dirt in my hair and my eyes must look absolutely mental. "I'm Liddy, if the dear Sheara did not already tell you." I said, trying to smile sympathetically in the direction of Sheara.

Niyah stood frozen as the others fought. After the strange vision she had just experienced, she could hardly think, let alone move.
"Niyah, your crying." Seena said in suprise, Niyah reached up and wiped the tears from her cheeks, staring at the glistening droplets.
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine." she said, smiling, though she knew she wasn't. but now wasn't the time to be a weakling.'Are you sure?" Everlee asked softly, squeezing Niyah's shoulder.
"As ever." Everlee searched her gaze, and, finding nothing, turned and walked towards a young man standing by a tree. Niyah met his gaze for a moment then turned, standing behind Seena.
"Are you really okay, or were you just giving her the benefit of the doubt?" Seena asked without turning.
"You'll never know." Niyah replied. Seena smiled.

The hunter, Lydia, had been forced to the ground and pulled back up, knocked right and left and right again. Niyah almost felt sorry for her, until she remembered who the girl was and what she did for a living.
Selling Rogues for profit.
Niyah shuddered. No, this girl deserved her lot. Because when you killed others, their blood was on your hands. And blood always carried death in it's wake.
The girl fought clumsily, but Niyah wasn't fooled. She'd grown up fighting for her vedry survival, and she could recognize her own. This girl was strong, but for some reason she was hiding it. Watching her movements, Niyah could see the elegant swipe of her hand, just barely missing the target. But it was to close. So close, infact, that the only way Lydia couldn't have hit was if she didn't mean to kill in the first place.
And when you were afraid for your life, you always strike to kill.
Now the girl was frozen to the earth, her body squirmming to break free of the restraints.
"Alright, then. Would somebody mind telling me why I just tackled her to the ground?" Tess said, turning towards the others with one hand placed leisurely on her hip. Niyah smiled. She would even go so far as to say that the girl before her looked bored.
"Lydia!" Little Sheara cried again. The girl on the ground looked furious. And then, with a single brutal pull at the ice surounding her left arm, she broke free, flying towards Tess with her little dagger held high.
"Watch out!" Seena screamed.
No. not again. Not when I know how to stop it.
I will be at your side.Eisen murmured.Niyah smiled.
It's time that this little hunter learns how powerful we Rogues truely are.
And with that, Niyah was running. She slashed her hand out and to the right, sending the girl flying backwards, dagger flying through the air. She let go before it flew into a nearby tree, embedding itself in the soft, fleshy wood. Lydia landed in a crouch, but it was obvious her arm was in pain. She slowly stood, eyes lifting to meet Niyah's.
Eisen.
I understand. There was a flash of pale light, and suddenly a grey owl was flying through the air, wings gleaming in the bright sunlight. His great talons passed mere inches from the girls face, his entire foot the size of her head. For the first time, she actually seemed afraid. But then the beast flicked it's wing, and two feathers flew out, extending and pinning the girl to the tree.
This time, she didn't even twitch.

You've got to be kidding me, Darren growls, running up and placing himself in between the bounty hunter and myself. The next person who ruins your peace, I swear, I'll rip him apart.

It's not like anyone's meaning to, I defend. Darren growls again, but doesn't speak back.

Niyah's pet flies into the air, it's feathers looking like... metal. I watch as the next scene unfolds. Rayden jumps up from where he had been sitting, guarding Alec at the edge of the other side of the clearing. Davnick takes a step forward, waiting to help.

I have to stop her, I whisper. I have to stop everyone. Look at what we've come to.

"Seena! Tess!" I call. My two companions look to me. "Ice her down!" I order, pointing towards the bounty hunter. Seena nods, pulling out Tige in his weapon form and putting him to the ground. "Rayden, Davnick, don't help! Reva back down! Niyah! Calm down your pet!" My orders fly off my tongue. I feel a slight tug on my clothes and feel Shear shivering beside me.

"I don't know how!" Niyah yells.

"Just tell you're pet to stop!" Seena calls.

In a moment, the chaos is over. The bounty hunter is iced to the ground, Niyah standing beside her. She takes a few steps back before she reaches me. The entire group looks to me.

Sorry to cut the fun short, I think to Darren, sarcastically.

"Stop," I say. "Stop. This isn't right. I don't care who they are or why they are here. We aren't going to do this again. We aren't animals, no matter what anyone thinks and all fighting is doing is proving her point," I say, pointing to the bounty hunter. I drop my hand and shake my head, trying to clear it. Suddenly, my hand is clenched in someone else's. I look next to me to see Skylar standing beside me. How he always manages to be there when I want him, I'll never know.

"Here's the deal," I say. "We are leaving." I turn to Lydia. "Now, you have two choices. Either we leave you here until you melt, or you come with us and help us defeat the government. If you try to kill us or turn us in, I will let Reva kill you. Capiche?" I ask.

(Sorry for cutting the battle short, but Everlee wouldn't have let it carry on. :D Hope I did everyone's character right, I was trying to make sure everyone was in this post. )

Rayden Thorn:

Needless to say I was shocked when Everlee blew up like that. I had just been getting ready to step in myself as I saw Seena getting antsy- no way was I going to let her get hurt!

"Here's the deal,"she said waving her hands. "We are leaving. Now, you have two choices." she said to Lyidia-was it?
"Either we leave you here until you melt, or you come with us and help us defeat the government. If you try to kill us or turn us in, I will let Reva kill you. Capiche?"

I had to hide a smirk.

"Did she just say capiche?" Dante asked poking his head out of the fire. I nodded failing to hide my smile, she was cute when she was angry- pity that doll obviously had claimed her....

"Rayden help her!" Dante squawked into my mind "She is trying to be the leader of this group, help her!"

"Alright fine." I muttered and stood up. "Everlee!" I called as I walked to her, she turned and stared at me- trying to read what I was going to do.

"I wanted to ask you something." I said trying to look reassuringly, she didn't look convinced.

"What is it Rayden?" she asked slowly eying me, the Doll, Skylar? stood slightly closer to her. I cleared my throat and tried to think of what I needed to say and how I was going to say it.

"I would like to ask your permission on something." I began slowly, "I was planning on joining your group before, but in lieu of what has happened, I understand of you don't want me here." I paused a moment then added, "I know I would pose a threat to the safety of your group, being who I am. What I want to know, is would you allow me to officially join your rebellion? I have many contacts in the capitol and throughout the country, I think I could be useful to you."

I paused and held my breath, shocked at what I had actually said.

"Did you just actually agree to join an open rebellion against the government?! Dante shouted into my mind.

"I guess so." I said blandly, he was flabbergasted.

"May god have mercy on us now!

(Hope this was alright I wasn't sure how to get him back into the story and this seemed the best way! as always if I screwed up I will edit!)
