Lydia

I let myself wriggle under the ice. The girl--was this Everlee? Regardless, she had power and I was shocked by it. The choices however made my internally angered. I liked to be in charge, and I liked to give the orders. I hated being told what to do. But I needed to listen. You have two choices, let me rip your head off and use your intestines like a scarf, or I can knock you out before I gut you like a fish. I smiled a little at my own ramblings. But merely looked up at Everlee and tried to soften the anger in my face.

"I'll go with you. I'll go with you and no one needs to worry about being turned in." I hoped the ice would evaporate. I hoped the pistol still lodged down by my foot would not be damaged. It was tough and old and I prayed it would withstand this. The girl holding me under the ice seemed to acknowledged Everlee's power and released me. I stood, shivering a little and walked slowly to the tree where my dagger had embedded it's self and pulled it out with one smooth motion. No, that was too obvious I should have struggled with it. True but it was too late now. I knelt slowly and tucked it back into my boot. Standing and approaching the group again, letting my head fall and my eyes keep to the ground, stumbling a little as I went. Poor Liddy. So ashamed to be destroyed in battle by a prick group of rogues. I looked up at Everlee and smiled.

"Thank you. I will fight with you to the best of my abilities." I said slowly, sweetly. The natural high pitch of my voice helped this act immensely. My eyes flashed towards Reva and then drifted to Sheara. I winked and smiled to her, as if to let her know I was okay. This was all a big misunderstanding. I began to shift on the toes of my boots and braid my hair slowly. What now? I asked myself. What to do now? I would go with them. If Everlee or the other has bought my story--I was not sure. But I could hope. A girl could dream. I walked slowly towards Sheara hoping no one else would stop me, tackle me or stab me. I was bleeding and I played this up. Clutching the wound and staggering a little. Maybe when I sat by the girl I would faint.

It was then when I saw him. My mother had called him--Rava, Rayden. I think it was Rayden. The man she had fought. The man she had intended to kill.

Elise:

I woke up to the sound of fighting, screaming, then later on, talking. I sat up immediately and looked around. Jared was right beside me, watching the whole thing. I turned my attention to where his attention was. Everyone had their backs against me, so I stood up. Whenever I wake up by sound, I get cranky. Very cranky.

"God. For a bunch of people, I thought you would actually have freaking respect for those who were sleeping," I said groggily, but coldly. They all turned around. I could see some new faces.

"Recruited more people, huh?" I asked. Everlee let out a sigh and everyone looked at eachother.

"Well?" I asked. "Who are they?"

"This is Lydia, she's a doll," Sheara introduced the blonde. "I squinted at her and scratched my head.

"And a bounty hunter," Davnick muttered.

"And this is Niyah," Everlee introduced the other one. I put my hands on my hips and leaned on a tree. I was still a little unstable from lack of sleep.

"In two days we're going to battle, and I don't have my freaking sleep. God, I feel like crap," I muttered.

(Hope this is okay!)

Is it okay if I dib after Bee? I won't change anything around really, just have it be in Sheara's point of view of everything that is going on. (and she may hide behind Davy, someone else, or a tree. :) )

-Sheara

I stared at Lidya as she got up and pulled her knive out of the tree.

"Thank you. I will fight with you to the best of my abilities." She said, then looked at me and smiled with a wink.

I smiled back, but half heartedly. So much had happend in the last minute or two, that my mind was a big blank.
She's a bounty hunter! Rang through my head again. The Doll started to walk towards me, but I slunk back slightly. She lied about who she was...she turned in Rogues for a living...Rogues like me. And what about her mother? Was that a lie too?

Luckily, Lidya wasn't looking at me anymore, she was looking at Rayray with a...strange look. It was like she was looking at an enemy from the past, but she had only just met him...right?

My mind went back to the words "Bounty hunter". Was Lidya really as nice as I thought she was? Or was she really someone that killed Rogues for money? A shiver went up my spine when I thought of how close I had been to her before.
Did...did she plan on hurting me? I glanced upward at the trees nearby. I wanted to climb onto a high branch at the top of a really tall one and just sit up there for a while. Not for forever, just until it felt safer down here and not as confusing.
At least I have Poca- My thought of comfort was squished when I saw Poca glaring at the new Doll from all the way on the other side of the camp. I let out a quiet "Eeek!" when I realized I was standing alone. I quickly spotted Davy and ran over to him. I slid behind him and held onto the back of his sleeve, peeking around his arm with one eye.

(Sorry it is so short, tell me if anything needs to be changed!)

(Kindred, sorry to post over you, I am leaving for the night and this will be short so no worries.)

Lydia

The fact that Sheara now seemed terrified about me slipped my mind as I turned to Rayden, standing as if he was totally innocent, standing as if he was not a murder. I walked slowly up to him. My head swaying slightly as I did, trying to look at him from all angles. Trying to study him. My mother had told me about him, I had watched as he landed the final blow that was later infected. That later killed her. My pace quickened and I was by his side now. I took a finger and turned his chin towards me.

"Rayden, right?" I asked sweetly. But the hardness of my eyes was not going to be concealed. I didn't want to fight him just yet. This was just better than imagined. Get Sheara and then switch her out for him. "Yes, I think that's your name. Tell me, do you remember a woman named Desdemona?" I asked leaning in towards his ear. I wanted to see the light go on in his eyes, he probably enjoyed it. Sick little twit. I took a step back, arms crossed, still braiding a piece of my hair, lip firmly between my two bottom teeth.

I glanced back at Sheara, hiding between Davie-boy's legs. Great. I had to earn her and her little beasts trust back. I turned back to Rayden. Sheara still on my mind. She would know after this discussion that my mother was killed. Not exactly the way I said but she would know. And then she would believe me. Another point towards Liddy. Hopefully.

Rayden Thorn:

As I waited for Everlee's reply I didn't notice the person who came up quickly beside me until I felt a small finger on my neck and chin. now I had learned through the years that fingers can kill you, if they get too close. So as soon as I felt it, I went still and let whoever it was turn my head slowly towards them, It was the doll bounty hunter Lydia.

"Rayden!" Dante said staring up form the fire, I put a hand up to calm him.

"Easy old man, she's not hurting me."

The girl looked at me her eyes shifting between forced innocence and intense hatred, her sharp little nail digging into my chin. She cocked her head to one side like a dog hearing a new sound.

"Rayden, right?" she said and her voice was forced, she was battling something within herself. I kept my eyes blank, which wasn't hard. she turned my head further and then retracted her hand as she sized me up- I stood at least a foot taller than her.

"Yes, I think that's your name. Tell me, do you remember a woman named Desdemona?"

Who?! my mind was a screaming blank. What was she talking about? I ran thought my mental list of names- I came up with nothing. My face must have betrayed me for her face hardened suddenly.

"Desdemona." she said again more clearly, "Desdemona Hawthorn." she stared at me again leaning in, way to close- I could feel her breath on my face. I put my hands up and took a step back.

"I'm sorry but I don't know who your talking about." I then walked away from her as quickly as I could- she gave me the creeps! Dante flew up from the fire and landed on my shoulder.

"Alright things are getting intense, I'm staying here." he said firmly giving the girl one of his golden eyed glares.

I moved over to Seena and stood next to her, giving her , I hoped, a natural smile.

Everlee

Well of course you can stay, I think, but before the words leave my mouth, Rayden turns around.

"Recruited more people, huh?" Elise asks from the tree she had slept by. I sigh. "Well?" She asks. "Who are they?"

"This is Lydia, she's a doll," Sheara says.

"And a bounty hunter," Davnick mutters quietly under his breath.

"And this is Niyah," I say, introducing Niyah.

"In two days we're going to battle, and I don't have my freaking sleep. God, I feel like crap," Elise moans.

"Ya," I whisper to myself. "You and me both." I turn around and practically run into Skylar.

"Hey," he says. "You did great."

I smile, blushing slightly. You can order around a group of murdering rogues, but you can't handle talking to one guy? Darren says with a chuckle.

Shut up!

"Thanks," I whisper, looking away.

Skylar leans down and presses his lips lightly to my cheek. I smile. Somehow, even without words, Skylar manages to make my life easier.

(Gleek, I don't know if you're able to get on, but I think we should probably try to work on Everlee/Skylar's relationship. They aren't as close as I would like them to be :D )

Seena

I'm fiddling with my mother's necklace when Rayden walks over to me. I see Davnick glare at him across the clearing, but he turns around and walks away.

"Hey," Rayden says to me.

I smile, dropping my necklace back to my neck. "Hey," I say back.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

I nod. "I'm fine." I look into his face; something's on his mind. "And, are you okay?" I ask.

(Sorry both posts are short! :D )

Davnick

I continue to study this new girl, this Lydia. I don't like her. The way she moves is too calculated, her facial expressions too exact. She moves like an actor onstage, trying with every fiber of her being to convince her audience that the sky is purple, or that trees grow underwater. She reminds me of somebody... who is it...?

Me. I realize with a start. She reminds me of me. Not four days ago, I had been doing exactly what Lydia had just done. I sold myself as a poor, pathetic, terrifyed little boy who was scared and un-threatining in every way. That whole sob story about being afraid of the government... and now this girl was doing the same thing. Well, almost.

Sheesh, I can't believe these guys bought it when I did it. Clearly her ridicoulous anger turned to humility and fright way to fast. I must have seemed the same way. I never even thought about that...

As I stand there pondering, Sheara runs up behind me and grabs my sleve. "Davy..." She whisperes. "I'm scared. I don't know what to do. I think... I think Lydia might want to hurt me..."

I look at her in surprise. "Huh? What makes you...?" I pause and think about it. What would I have done, if Sheara had been here when I arrived, and she didn't look like Kara? I would use her as a weapon, a shelid. A sweet innocent girl like her...

A perfect target.

I lean over and pick Sheara up so I'm giving her a piggy back ride. "I think you're right Sissy." I whisper, half looking at her and half watching Lydia talking to Rayden. The two seem to be talking about something really uncomfortable, Lydia on tip-toe so she can hold Rayden's chin, nearly two feet above her own head. "So here's what we're going to do. We are going over to that clearing where Niyah and I were earlier, and I'm going to teach you how to kill somebody."

Sheara's little face goes pale. "D-davy! I... I don't want to kill people!!" I hear Poca growl in dissagreement.

I sigh at her innocence. She'll have to toughen up sooner or later, though it pained me to think about it. The thought of her loosing her sweetness... But she wont. I decide. Ill teach her to use her electricity to fight, but not kill.

"Okay." I say, as calmingly as possible. "Not kill. Defend, for now. I'll teach you how to use your electricity using your hands, not just your feet. And," I say, giving her a big grin. "I'll teach you a trick I've been working on, that I've never showed anybody else."

Her eyes grew wide. "What? What is id Davy?"

My grin grows wider. "You know what a whip is, right Sissy?"

Sheara makes an uncertian noise, and I see Seena glaring at me from across the clearing. I turn with Sheara still on my back and walk away, not understanding why she's acting so cold. I feel a little piece of me shrivel up, and try hard not to drop Sheara.

Keradon

I stand from my crouched position and pull my sleves down over my scarred arms. I hear... everything. The sound of deer grazing 30 feet away, the sound of birds building nests in nearby trees, moles digging tunnels 2 feet below the surface. I concentrate, and hone in on the sound of shouting. The group I'm looking for can't be more than a mile away. A new sound enteres my range, and I instintively hold out my arm for Resh. He climbs out of the tree next to me and sits on my shoulder.

"What did you find?" I say at a level tone, letting my hearing return to normal.

"The group camped in a clearing not too far away. They had three visitors in the night, two young girls and a man. One girl is a Rogue, the other a Doll, and the man is a Doll as well. Both Dolls appear to be bounty hunters."

"Is every one of our main targets still with the camp?" I ask, my voice a perfect monotone.

Resh nods. "Sir, there is something I've been meaning to ask you." I incline my head, allowing him to speak. "These Rogues.... I know it is your mission to turn them in. But you seem to have a personal vendetta against them. Why?"

Images of a wanted poster flash before my eyes. Dark eyes bore into my skull. A sweet lullaby rings in my ears, its notes turned sour by the passage of time. Finally, I feel a hand holding mine, and see a little boys face. A little boy with purple eyes.

I will always be here for you Jorden.

Always.

I shake my head. "No reason." I snap, loosing my temper. I make sure Resh didn't see any of what just went through my head; He had never met my brother, and therefore wouldn't remember him. "Now stop your blabbering, and lets go capture some Rogues."

(Hey Blondie, I thought now would be a good time for us to work on Sheara's training. And I'm going to try to bring Keradon in on this day. If anybody has a problem, just say the word!!)

(I'm able to go on the computer! Alright, time for Operation Skylee! :D)

Skylar:

I pressed my lips on Everlee's cheek, and she smiled. I smiled back and grip her hand. I start thinking about how me and Elise were just in the forest, looking for food to hunt. We see the soldiers coming, and then stumble upon Everlee and Tess's cottage. That's where we met. I smile at the thought.

But, then I think about what's coming. The big battle with the government. Some of us will die, or get injured. I look around to look at all the people I've gotten to know. There was Tess, someone I thought would cause trouble a lot, but actually didn't. There was Jared, whom I thought was an awkward and lanky guy, but wasn't. Sheara, whom I thought would be a little brat, but is actually a sweet innocent child, and Davnick, someone whom I thought would kill us when he first met us, but didn't. Then there was Everlee. All of us wouldn't be here if it weren't for Everlee. She is a brave and strong girl, but I'm worried about her. This is a serious matter, and she could get hurt. But she won't, and I'll do anything to make sure of that.

I turn my head towards Everlee, "Are you sure about fighting the government?"

"Yes. Positive," she answers. I nod my head, then lead her away from the group. I take her other hand, so I'm holding both her hands in mine.

"You know I won't let anyone hurt you, right?" I asked. Everlee nods, and I smile. I'm still worried about what might happen in two days.

(Hope this is okay!)

Reva

I went and stood next to Rayden and Seena, putting some distance between myself and Liddy. I didn't like her, and I didn't want to come to like her, the way I did the others.

"Did she hurt you Rayden?" I asked, hoping she did so that I had an excuse to pummel her. He was far too interesting to be watched while injured anyway.

Alec

I watched the way the group went crazy when they found out the girl was a bounty hunter. They fought among themselves a lot of the time, but from the moment that girl entered camp, ranks were closed and the weak were protected. There was always someone near the two little girls, ready to fight for them. Everlee finally gave the command and all the chaos stopped, and immediately organized itself but the new girl was still not anywhere near an unprotected little girl. They worked as a group. It was sort of disappointing really, but on the other hand, I couldn't kill them all anyway. Reva Airdronac would be nearly impossible to kill in and of herself. But add in Davnick Tarish and Rayden Thorn and it could never happen. Not even to mention Everlee, she was hard enough to find! Let alone hurt!

I sighed. It looks like it's more beneficial to be on their side. There's a lot more to gain from this powerful group than from the government. "Hey! Everlee! Do I get that sort of a choice?" I called.

Niyah stood still, watching as the others dispersed once again.
She felt terrible; she'd made Everlee upset.
The great horned owl hovered above her, then came to perch on her shoulder. it was supriseingly light for it's enormous size.
So this is what you really look like?Niyah asked him. The bird chuckeled, a soft rumbeling that resembled distant thunder.
Yes.Niyah smiled.
"Cool." she reached up, scratching the owl's head. Supriseingly, the feather's were soft as a chick's down. Eisen seemed to purr in delight.
"Eisen, the marks on your back..."
Yes. they match yours.
"But why?" Eisen rufled his feathers, straightening.
Your going to have to discover the secret to that yourself.
Niyah sighed, tiered of his cryptic replies. She glanced around the camp and spotted Everlee, who was standing by a handsome young man with sandy blonde hair streaked with brown and dark eyes. The leader smiled, her youth returning with a single sweep, pressing her lips tenderly to his, then pulling away with a giggle. The man smiled, pulling her back to him and holding her tight. For the first time since Niyah had met her, Everlee looked truely happy.
They're in love, aren't they? Eisen asked. Niyah smiled softly to herself, heart beat picking up pace.
Yes, I guess they are. she replied wistfully, turning and walking into the depths of the trees, a hopeful bounce in her step.
Because if Everlee could find happiness, then, maybe someday, Niyah could too.

Everlee

"Hey! Everlee! Do I get that sort of a choice?" I hear an unfamilar voice call. I roll my eyes and look back up to Skylar.

Who is it? I ask Darren, still back at camp. I know he's smirking at me, but I ignore him.

The other doll, Darren answers. Having fun? he teases.

Yes, actually, alot, I say truthfully.

Darren smiles. I'm really happy for you, he says.

Thanks.

"Duty calls," I whisper to Skylar. He nods, still smiling down at me.

I turn to leave but Skylar grabs my hand. He pulls me closer and leans down, touching his lips back to mine. We pull back after a moment.

Take your time, Darren says, happy that I'm finally having a break.

"I've got to go," I whisper. I walk away, hearing Skylar following me. I stop and wait for him, grabbing his hand as he walks by.

The clearing hasn't changed much since we left. Davnick and Sheara left, as well as Niyah. Rayden and Seena are talking together, but other then that, it's mostly the same.

It's going to take a long time to get us moving, I think. I quickly walk up to Alec, lying on the ground, still cuffed.

"There you are," Alec says. "Do I get the same choices as the other doll?" he asks.

I look over to Lydia, then back over to Alec. "Yes, you do," I say flattly. "What do you choose?"

Lydia

He walked away from me. The nerve of that, that--murderer! I contemplated weather moving with him, moving and continuing to probe. He looked panicked, that could mean one of two things. Either he was terrified that some one remembered his kill, or he did not remember at all. If he forgot her then I would hate him more. Then I would not even give him the liberty of a fair fight, I would cut him open while he slept. I smirked.

The Davie-boy was staring at me again. I needed to stop calling him that, he didn't deserve a pet name. I looked back coolly. If anyone saw right through me it was Reva and Davnick. Davnick especially, it was like I gave off an aura he could read perfectly. I hated it. I needed to get some one's attention. I needed to make them notice me, I needed to talk to some one. It was apparent that Rayden and I would not have our chat until later. He was standing with Reva now and I knew she would take any chance she could get to annihilate me.

Earlier I had noticed another doll, chained up. I looked for him again and saw Everlee speaking to him. Maybe he could help, but honestly you couldn't trust anyone now a day. I smiled, I was just that kind of person. He looked nasty, like he could fight, no one had any idea how useful that was for me at the moment. I looked again to Davie-boy. He was talking still to Sheara, ruining my genius plans no doubt. Idiot. I took a step towards the doll, on the ground. And then looked back at Rayden. I kept my eyes locked on him. Hoping he would notice.
