I am here to tentatively claim a spot. I want to get back into roleplaying.

Just wanted to share a bit more about what kinda characters you can create for this world!
Other races are allowed! For example, here's a sneak peek at my character:
Magic is allowed! Just don't have your character be invincible or omnipotent or godlike. They gotta be able to lose XD
On the flip side, your character does have to be able to win as well ^^ they are in the top 16 in a competition where hundreds of the best warriors from all over the world have tried and lost their hand. Your character, thus, would probably have been through many rounds of combat to get to this point, and ended on top of all of those rounds.
Also, just for funsies, what would your character do if they got the wish?
What are the limits as far as races and magic go? Is it dnd rules? How much making-shit-up is expected/allowed? Are characters meant to all come from the same general area or can some be from far and wide, stranger at the tavern vibes (only a character I would play as a contrast to a second, more integrated character, as that kinda thing is hard to pull off effectively in a roleplay)
I have ideas for a race of characters that aren't really all that alike to anything I've seen in fantasy media before so I want to know what the bounds are.
As far as personalities and backstories are concerned, I do want to know what everyone is thinking there as well so we don't end up with too many characters who are too similar. Wouldn't be the most fun to roleplay a bunch of asocial introverts who don't wanna talk to each other.
I'm not sure what I'll be doing for my characters yet, but so far I'm considering creating one of them to be quite chaotic. I'll have some drawings eventually I'm sure, but personality-wise, maybe a brighter, less-tragic, Harley Quinn, or, like, Michael Distortion from The Magnus Archives but slightly bouncier? I can't think of a perfect comparison but maybe you get the vibe there. The second character will probably be a contrast/balance to that because that kinda energy can screw up a roleplay pretty easily.
Creative juices might get flowing a little easier if we collaborate a bit
Hello! Can I reserve a spot? Quick question though - This is my first time in a non-tagbook storybook roleplay, so just to clarify, where do I create a character?
The problem with quotes found on the internet is that they are often not true.
@Teddybear I am currently moving today and tomorrow so I will definitely respond when I have time!
@LuminescentAnt welcome! I have reserved you a spot! So with these kind of roleplays there are character templates. You'll go to the Roleplay itself and the template is here:
Then you'll fill that out (let me know if you have any questions ^^ )
You can save it on the sidebar of the Roleplay here:
by submitting it
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
I'm free just about anytime in the next few days, if we're still doing that write in! I just finished up my first two weeks of summer camp jobs so I've got a lot more free time now
I'm still adjusting to my new place so I'm not sure if I'll be available today or tomorrow but I shall try my bestest to be on today and if I am I'll do a pad party ^^
I realized that I'm traveling from July 12 to August 15, so if the Storybook takes place then, I probably won't be able to participate, but I will try to bring my computer.
