Hey @Quillfeather - I'm so glad you like my poetry. I'm trying to write the first draft of my poetry novella with NaPo, so that's my inspiration. Thank you so much for stopping by Quill <3

And now it's time for (Avian's) #ThePeoplesPick!! Today's selection is:i’m lost, lost to the wind
the wind is my capturer
my capturer is my past
my past is hauntingly beautiful
First and foremost, I hope this is the actual title of the poem, but from the way it's set up (the last line bolded) leads me to believe so. This poem had an interesting structure thats almost like an echo. It takes the last few words of the previous line and uses it as the start of the next. It was a great read with an interesting format, and I can't wait to read more in this thread.
NadyaStatham wrote:Have you ever written a poem and then found out someone else wrote almost the same thing or it was just a paradox of theirs? But you didn’t see their poem, and they didn’t see yours. I was thinking It's kind of like poetry déjà vu or like your poem has a twin out there.
I had this with quite a few poems actually:
The themes of Roses, I found a similarity between one of my poems and one of luminescentAnt ‘s poems: picking roses - Ant and dear romeo, i don’t want your roses - NadyaSpoiler
Both poems talk about roses, the theme of love and why it might actually not be worth it. Yet both of them are unique in their own way too, Ant’s poem has so much emotion in it and it feels very vulnerable and my poem is more of a person who has seen enough of the world.
Another one was with one of youbeaucupid ‘s poems: A Poet Bleeds Ink - Cupid and even if no one calls it poetry - NadyaSpoiler
I thought that these two were rather paradoxical. Cupid writes very beautifully how writing feels more like a painful process as I write how writing feels more like an absence. Both of our poems also use the “a poet bleeds ink”.
spearmint and I both wrote a Shakespearean Sonnet! :
to the lost ones of yws - Mint and Shall i look at thee from another eye? - NadyaSpoiler
Both of the poems are talking about someone missing another. Mint’s poem’s more about friendship and mine about love.
I have so many more threads to check out, I can’t wait to find out if there are more poems like these out there.
