I wanted to drop by and give you all an update since my last message. It's been around a month since I decided to take a break from YWS, and I wanted to let you know how things are going.

Thank you all for all the support over this past month, it meant the world to me to have such a caring community by my side. <3

This past month hasn’t really changed. I still feel like the same person I was last month, which I expected. I mean I’m not just going to turn into a new person overnight, right? But I do feel like some things have changed.

I've been learning to love myself more. I think I'm getting somewhere with actually liking myself. Affirmations and just saying "I love myself" out loud have helped a lot. Also, changing up my style has made a HUGE impact. Just switching up my hairstyle and trying something I thought I could pull off has been a great confidence booster for me haha!

I've also been working on getting over my social anxiety. I'm starting small (And don’t laugh >:c) by joining voice chat rooms like karaoke and social parties. I KNOW it's super stupid, and it seems like it won’t work, but I have social anxiety even online. (Yes it’s that bad-) I’ve actually talked to my therapist about this and she thinks it’s a good place to start, especially since I don’t have many places I can go talk to people lol. I’m starting somewhere, that’s what counts! ผ(•̀_•́ผ)

On a lighter note, I think I've found a new hobby that actually interests me: tufting! It seems super fun and a pretty awesome skill to learn (in some ways lolol). I’m hoping to start that sometime soon, start with little coasters and make my way up to bigger things hehe!

Oh, and I went to an NF concert!! It was my first concert, and it was literally amazing. I've been a fan of his for a while now. The first song I heard of his was "Let You Down," which, sadly, I related to a lot. Seeing him live was such an amazing experience!!! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ (Almost cried during if you want love :,D)

This time away has really given me a lot of time to think about my life, and feel like I'm slowly getting back on track and finding my footing again.

I miss you all so much everyday, I hope I’ll come back soon. While I'm not quite ready to return just yet, I wanted to let you know that I'm doing better and making progress. I'll be back when I feel ready, stronger and more focused!! ผ(•̀w•́ผ)

Now that NaPo is over, I'm sorry to say I'll be taking a break from YWS. How long? Well, I'm not sure yet. These past few months have been really rough. With everything going on, I've realized I need to take a step back and focus on myself, mentally and physically.

Schoolwork has piled up to the point where it's been untouched for weeks. My mornings, which used to be organized, are now chaotic, and I feel like I'm drifting. It's clear I can't keep ignoring how these past few months have been affecting me.

On top of that, my parents' separation has made things even harder. Trying to deal with my emotions while pretending everything's normal has been really tough on my mental health. Plus, our neighbors have been causing trouble, which has been really stressful, to the point where we're going to have to file a restraining order against them so my little sister can actually go outside, without living in fear that the neighbors kids are going to hurt her, again. (This is an on-going problem that's been referred to police, the juvenile justice system, 'JJS' and Child Protective Services. So far nothing has been done, but we're working on it.)

In the middle of all this, I've realized, I need to prioritize my mental and physical health. Taking this break feels like the right move for me. It's a chance to breathe and focus on getting myself back on track.

To my all the my dear friends on YWS, I want to say thank you for understanding and supporting me through this. Your encouragement means everything, and I hope to come back to the community even stronger than before. Until then, take care, and thanks for being there through all of this. <3<3<3
