New to YSW..

So i am completley new here and dont really know how anything works, i posted a short story and really just want some feed back, do i just sit and wait for it, or do i need to ask for it?

But if you wish to ask for reviews you always can - there's a thread in the forums, even, it's called Will Review For Food ~ there you can choose reviewer(s) you like, based on what they're best at and whatnot c:

You've posted your first Short Story! Wow! Don't worry about reviews, you'll get one or two one day! If not, or if you just really, really urgently need it, you can go post at the WRFF forum like what Aria said. I can assure this, though. You'll get more reviews if you'll take some time meeting new people around the site! We are a bug community after-all!

Welcome to YWS. Unlike most writing sites, YWS is less selfish when it comes to reviews. The lovely Knights of the Green Room are quick to do thorough reviews within a few days of you posting the piece, as well as many of our helpful members. If by any chance, your piece is missed, as Alfred said, the Will Review For Food section holds a number of different member-run "clinics" where you can request a review. This section can be found in the Resources part of the Forum and is just a quick scroll down on the main Forums page.
People are more likely to review if you've made a number of reviews yourself. My tip on reviewing: put time into your review; don't just say how much you love a piece, say what makes you love that piece. Explain the good and the bad. If you want good review examples, go to the Reviews tab on any of the moderators (any user with a name in light green (junior mods) or dark green (global mods) and read some of theirs. Hannah is a star when it comes to poetry reviews.
