"Well..." I sat down in a chair next to her bed. "Nym's angry. extremely angry. Black and White are in big trouble, I'm guessing." I set my hand on the side of her bed. "I sincerely have no clue what's going on right now, though. The battle's stopped right now, but I don't know how long it's going to stay like that." I looked at my hand, which still had my anti-graviton device wrapped around it. It made me think. Think about things a ninja shouldn't think about.

"I am about to say something that sounds crazy." A nurse looked at me strangely, so I lowered my voice. "How about we leave? I don't want you to get hurt again."

Kiera

Seeing this place was the nightmare that had come true. I was going to die.

Nym sat on that throne of her's, looking very demeaning and angrily at me. I was a Pirate after all, well, not technically. But Cabin Girl was close enough for her obviously. When the Ninja threw me in here, I knew this was the last thing I'd see. Horrifying.

"Perseus," she said, her voice was emotionless.

A Ninja comes from behind her, holding a sword in his arms. She took hold of it, so delicately, you'd think it was glass. Looking at Perseus, she started to speak.

"Take this sword,"

She then looked at me, her stare send shivers down my spine. "Come closer," I did as she said and stood near Perseus.

One he had the sword in his hand, Nym said the words I would never forget. "Kill her,"

He looked astonished, afraid. The sword looked treacherous to him now as he stared at it. He took a look at me, then back at her. My heart was racing, I was afraid he would kill me. Actually kill me. Now, don't tell me he's scared. He's not the one about to die.

"No," he said, letting the sword slip from his hands.

It hit the ground with a clash, lying against the floor, still in tact. I stood there for a second, shocked at what had just happened. He saved my life. Why would he do that? Why would he care?

"Good job Perseus," a wicked smile shaped her face.

Anyone could still kill me. Just because he didn't doesn't mean she wants me alive. I walked behind Perseus and used him as a shield.

I didn't know that why I did this, maybe she was innocent. She was a kid, though. I am sure that Nym didn't mean what she said, she done that to test me.

"Now, Save her without killing them."

I agree that I was a bit confused but I didn't know, what was she talking about? But then the door banged open and three ninja appeared, unarmed. I was not good at arm to arm fight. If I didn't have to kill them and yet protect her. I was good if I killed from behind, then I could have done it very easily, silently. But that would not be possible here. At least, I have always used my hidden blade at all face to face fight. But it was different here. They were ready. I felt ashamed that I have never been a good fighter. I was a coward always killing from behind...I guess that it was a assassin's job to kill from behind. I needed to think quick. The ninja's were spreading out, surrounding me from all sides. I moved backward towards wall and Kiera also backed away, she was having me as a cover. I did so to prevent them from surrounding me from behind.

The ninjas were coming closer, I looked for a flaw in the formation. I found one, one of the ninja were moving faster than the others, I took the advantage and hit him between his legs and it worked like a charm. I heard a crack and he fell on the ground. The ninjas jumped on me. But I dodged them. And then there were some bones and flesh banging, and the ninja all lied on the floor.

This fight made my arrow wounds hurt, but before I could react Nym said, "Impressive! Take him to the infirmary."

A ninja came and guided me to the infirmary. Kiera close behind me. I knew she was scared. And I have to get rid of her soon. I was a lone wolf, I didn't want a kid sticking with me whom I have to save. I saved her because she was innocent.

We were soon in the infirmary, a nurse came and had a look at my wounds. She then bandaged them. The left arm was bandaged soon but there was trouble with bandaging me right shoulder blade. She said that she could hurt my wings if she did it. So, after some time, she used some tapes and was done. Sitting shirt-less in front of nurse and Kiera and others made me irritated.(Of Course, I have six packs)

Soon I fell asleep...Dreaming...

"Helping," Kiera replied as she ran, sword raised toward one of the ninjas. Jimmy swore under his breath and gave Wings a look. The kind of look that said 'sorry if we don't get outta here' before he followed after the cabin girl. The kid was brave at least.

"Watch your left," he warned, kicking a ninja back as Wings ran another through with his sword. Then there were visions. Jimmy knew they were visions because he'd been drunk so much he had a good grip on what was real and what was not, but there were worms wriggling along his sabre and up his arms and the kid was about to be eaten by a dinosaur.

"We've got to pull back!" Jimmy shouted. Those pesky ninjas; this was a fight they couldn't win. Mind games. Mind tricks that cut cleaner than swords and- "Come on!" Jimmy somehow managed to latch an arm around the cabin girl and haul her over the side of the ship, swinging down his grappling (at least he hoped this big, viney thing was his grappling) to land on the pirate deck.

_______________________

It was a while before Jimmy had his head straight again, and the rest of the pirates were dealing with the same issues of ninjas that appeared from out of the smoke but turned to candy hearts when you put your fist through them.

At least their ship was pulling away. Jimmy splashed water over his face, then he stumbled below decks to take instruction from his captain at the Ice Core.

"M'Lady," Jimmy greeted her with a sweeping bow, the fresh blood on his fine coat making him look an ever bigger disassembly of rough and neat.

"We will be arriving home shortly." Lady Bianca said in a cold, clear voice. Sometimes Jimmy wondered how he'd wound up on a ship with the frickin ice queen. But that kind of thinking would take him down pointless paths and there had been a few benefits, such as the chemicals swirling around his blood that kept him from freezing over.

"Did yer want me teh count the casualties? Never bin good at counting," Jimmy mumbled as he shuffled his feet.

I wandered back to my cabin looking for Kiera but she was nowhere in sight. Dammit, I really wanted to tell her about the ninjas. I sighed and left the room to find some food. As I wondered up to the deck I saw the Ninja ship still floating near-by.

"What do they want from us?" I mumbled going towards the rail. I rested by elbows on the rails and let the wind fly though my hair. I closed my eyes and felt to cold hands wrap around my eyes.

"Haha very funny Mercury." I said trying to get out of the grip. It only got tighter. Oh no, this isn't Mercury. I swung my leg back and hit him hard in the groin. I slid out of his grab trying to get my knife out of my boot. The man who I had kicked was a ninja trying to invade the ship. The ninja took my knife from me and held it to my chest slowly getting up. I was corned. He gave a smile before stabbing me in the gut. He pulled it out and stabbed me again in the ribs. I stared blankly at him the pain killing me. He smiled and pushed me off the side of the boat. I fell though the air closing my eyes seeing Mercury and Kiera faces. I let a single tear drop till falling into deaths arms.

After leaving Nym's room I went down to the training halls. Some of the apprentices were there, mostly talking, some of them even crying. Nym was right, this battle shouldn't have happened. I and White had lost our heads, and the others had suffered from it. It was a mistake that I was not going to repeat.

"Don't just stand around moping," I said. My voice sounded even harsher than I had intended it to. "A ninja should never cry, 'cause it will do you no good. Training, on the other hand. Your teachers will get here in a second, but until then I want you to spar with each other." Someone opened their mouth to object, but I cut them of. "Anyone who objects will have to spar with me, is that clear?"

"Yes, master!"

Good. The ones who were crying quickly wiped their tears and they divided into groups of two. I watched them for about ten minutes, correcting every mistake that I spotted, before the teachers finally arrived. "I want them crawling out of here," I told the head teacher.

"But.."

"No buts. It's better they faint from fatigue tonight than stay up brooding about the deaths of their friends." The teacher nodded in agreement, though I could see that he still had his doubts. I had trained enough apprentices to know what I'm talking about, and I didn't care if they ended up hating me for being tough. It was for their own good.

I was about to go to the infirmary to get my hand bandaged, something that I had intended to do before the battle, but then I had heard the alarm and ran out of there before the nurse could do anything. I had relocated the fingers myself, but they still felt a bit sore. Human bodies really were too fragile. Next time I changed host I'd choose a sturdier race.

As I turned a corner I noticed a body on the floor. I frowned. Was it someone who had gotten injured during the battle and collapsed on his way to the infirmary? I walked up to the boy and shook him, but got no response.

"Hey, you! Get over here," I ordered a passing ninja who immediately did as he was told. "Who's this?"

"I believe it's one of the pirates, master."

I blinked. And these idiots had just left him on the floor? "And what is he doing here?"

"I don't know, master. I believe someone captured him from the pirate ship, together with a girl."

The ninja squirmed as I glared at him. He obviously knew exactly what he was talking about, but tried to play stupid. "Where is that girl now."

"I believe she was taken to the queen, master."

"Oh, you believe? Bring this one to the queen as well. If I find any more pirates lying on the floor I'm going to find whoever is in charge," I said, making the threat very clear in my voice. He picked up the pirate boy and ran of as quickly as he could.

I sighed and made my way to the infirmary. I really liked to think that the ninjas were top notch, disciplined soldiers but people like that made me doubt. I walked into the infirmary muttering to myself, and ordered the nurse to fix my hand immediately. I didn't really need to bark orders at her, but I was annoyed.

"You sure haven't changed a bit."

I twirled around and saw Perseus sitting on a gurney. "Oh, I heard you had gotten caught." I looked around. "Where are your guards?"

Spoiler
I intended for that pirate that Black found to be Jimmie, the cabin boy. I though it was a bit weird that he wasn't brought to Nym together with Kiera. Hope this is alright.

Auden Marle.
“Follow me,” he instructed. I rolled my eyes.
“You’ve already said that. Tell me where we’re going!”
He peeked back for a second with a smirk and stopped at a door. He opened the door and stuck his head in, scanning the room then motioned for me to follow him in. As I stepped inside he shut the door and leaned against it, looking at the device on his hand.
“Auden.” He paused and his brow creased like he was deep in thought. “I’ve been thinking of something and it’s going to sound kind of crazy. But I want you to hear me out.”
His eyes went from his device to me. His gaze was intense and I gulped.
“I’m leaving,” he said finally. It confused me. What was he talking about?
“Leaving?”
“The ship. I’m leaving.”
What the hell?
“You can’t leave! You could be captured by pirates or...”
Or Nym could track him down and punish him. Which would be ten times worse.
“I’m aware of the consequences. I considered them and it just seems worth it to me.”
“You’re right...this is crazy. You’re really going to leave? On your own?”
He shook his head and pushed himself off the door.
“I might not be leaving alone. I want you to go with me.”
My heart dropped and my eyes grew wide.
“Me?” I said disbelieving, pointing at myself.
“There’s nobody else in here,” he answered with a smile.
I shook my head. “I can’t. Why—”
I didn’t want to admit that it would actually be pretty exciting. But this is where I needed to be.
“Is this really what you want? To fight pirates all your life? For what reason? Why do you hate them?”
I considered this, remembering Lilian’s stories. The pirates were always the bad guys. That was just how it had been. Did I really have a solid reason to hate them?
I pursed my lips, thinking of all the pirates I had killed. I suddenly felt sick.
“You’re thinking about it.”
I looked him in the eye and it was as if he could read me like a book.
“We’re going to dock to make some repairs tonight. I’m going to have my things packed. Will you please come with me?” He placed his hand on my shoulder, eyes pleading.
I couldn’t speak. This was huge and potentially dangerous. Was I prepared to actually do this?
“I’ll come by tonight at midnight. Tell me then if you are coming.”
I nodded in agreement and he held my gaze a moment longer then stepped back, taking his hand away from me.
“Goodbye, Auden.”
Then he was out the door and left me standing with my heart pounding.
Oh my gosh!

~*Midnight*~

There was a quick and quiet knock. It sent my heart fluttering and I swallowed a lump in my throat. For a second I just stared at the door. I had to order my legs to move. I had cracked the door open slightly and heard him on the other side. I peeked out and saw the rucksack on his back. He was serious, huh? Why wouldn’t he be?
I sighed as he asked, “Are you coming?”
“Ruiz,” I muttered, “I can’t do this.”
It was silent then he whispered, “If that’s how you feel...”
“But I can’t let you go alone.” I cut him off and heard him chuckle. I grabbed the rucksack I packed earlier that was by the door. I opened the door and closed it silently behind me when I joined him in the hallway. I felt his hand touch my arm and wrap around my wrist as he guided me along. We made our way down the long halls as quietly as we could. The first guard we encountered would have caught us if it hadn’t been for Ruiz pulling me back against the wall as the ninja continued on his way. It was as if he hadn’t seen us. I hoped it would be this easy the rest of the way.

I was crying when Black entered the training room. This time, I knew some of the dead.

Black got us started quickly, sparring in pairs. I sniffled every once in a while, remembering the look on her face earlier when she told me what happened to my mother. Those stupid pirates. Why did they have to bother us anyway?

I left the training room exhausted, but I couldn't bear going to my room, with the picture of my mother a constant reminder of my mother. I stumbled through the hallways barely noticing the other mourners around me. My wanderings were stopped when I bumped into someone. Strong hands steadied me, and I looked up. Rasheck. I tried to apologize, but my voice failed me and I just started crying on his shoulder.

I was awake and have said something to Black. She was staring at me and it was discomforting. I decided to end the silence, "Black, I would like to ask you something."

"You better ask!"

"Could you train me further?"

"I will have to think about it."

"Such a waste of time and brains."

"What?", she asked suspiciously.

I have never talked freely with anyone lately but there was something about her that made me feel comfortable.

"I said that thinking is such a waste of time and brained."

She smiled a little.

I added, "You only live once, why think twice?"

"You got humor boy."

"Do worms have brains?"

"You shouldn't ask me that or it's your brain lying here on the floor."

I smiled, she was good.

I said, "Do you like fighting, I mean you crave it."

"No."

"Why do you fight then?"

"Nothing better to do."

I thought and spoke, "I am leaving this war, I will become a good boy and will be a gun for hire. Assassins are not meant for war."

"I could train you."

"Really?", I said jumping from the bed...

I wandered into the Training room. I knew many of the fallen ninjas. Those that I did not know, I had heard of fondly from fellow ninjas. I often came to the training room when I had feelings that I knew were strong enough that they might bleed through my facade. I began training as fiercely as I knew how. I saw Black looking at me and I knew he would probably be thinking something bad of me, But I could care less. I didn't care what I was doing, I just did whatever came to me as I trained. I went from a flip-kick straight into a round of fifty push-ups, straight back into my aerobatic attacks.

I felt my heart rate soar and I knew that I needed to rest. I stopped exercising and sat down. I watched Chiana train, and I could tell that something was wrong. She got up and left the training room. I quickly raised myself up and followed her.

I wasn't sure how she would feel about me following her so I remained silent. I tend to move at a quicker pace than many others so i made sure to stay in her blind spot. I thought that she would be going to her quarters, but she seemed to just be wandering the corridors. She changed directions and ran into me. She almost fell off balance, but I caught her. I expected her to push off of me and keep on her way, but she remained latched on to me. She broke down, crying into my shoulder.

I let her cry awhile, then I lifted her into my arms and carried her into her room. I set her down on her bed, Held her tightly and we both cried together.

My head throbbed and my body ached, I was gaining consciousness. Soft fingers ran through my hair as I opened my eyes. Everything was blurry but I could make out Kiera who was sitting by me cradling my head in her lap, I saw a faint smile on her face and felt at ease.

"Where are we" I said with a low voice.

She didn't answer her smile faded away and fear crawled up my spine. I looked around we where in some kind of cell, I knew where we were how we got here was a mystery to me. Kiera had seen my fear and started once more stroking my hair.

"It's gonna be alright I'll take care of you" She said as she bent down and kissed my forehead. Kiera was the closest I had ever had as a sister and her warmth made me hopeful for a safe return.

"Now close your eyes and go to sleep you still have to regain your strength" She leaned up against a wall behind her, I fell asleep almost instantly.

When I woke up I felt that Kiera was no longer sitting by me, then I heard noises someone was talking.

The dragon landed and Grif saw what appeared to be a slide of light leading down through a hole in the ground. Grif didn't hesitate, but slid down it.

"WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" Grif yelled joyfully. Rock and dirt flew by as he accelerated down the slide. Then, the rock and dirt disappeared as the slide dipped down into a cavernous space. It was not a natural formation, but appeared to have been built. There was no sign of workmanship, not even a scrape where tools could have impacted. Grif smiled as a realization dawned upon him.

"This is no planet; it's a space station!" Grif said to himself. He looked further down the slide and saw a massive sign.

SPEW Secret Entrance

Grif flew under it and into the secret lair of SPEW.

Perseus | Ship

I was sure about one thing that Nymph had messed up with my head and I could feel it, she may have tried to make me better. I was happier and had a bright feeling in me, which showed that Nymph was the one behind it and all of a sudden I remembered, what Nymph had said,

"Your subconscious has it. You just need to dive deep within."

I proceeded on the deck of the ship, not sure of the layout of the ship. I wandered to the deck. Now that Kiera had got that Cabin Boy, she could leave me and not bother me. I went up to the deck of the ship to take some fresh air. I opened my wings, stretched them fully. My back wound was okay but the arm was not so good, I didn't have a shirt on my body and my arm was bandaged. I jumped from the deck, feeling the fresh and warm air. That made me feel better...

Bianca - Ice Star - "What do you want me to do..."

I walk back to the bridge, damn Mercury, he's the one caused the entire fight, ruined my chances to get the YWS Fleet on the Sky Pirate side, maybe if I explain what happened, and place the blame on the Sky Ninjas for continuing the battle and my crew was only acting out of self defense, I could get them back. Yea, that'll work, hopefully.

I enter in onto the bridge and make for my chair, taking a seat, I breath as I try to scan for any damages, the window was fogged and then I heard talking from below, I snapped my fingers and got there attention, immediatly a call went out.

"Captain on deck!" I heard.

I breathed deeply again, "are we missing any crew members?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am, three crew members are missing from the head count, so far we believe these crew members are missing: Mari; First Mate, Perseus Wolfe; Low ranking member, Kiera Celyloque; Cabin Girl, Jimmie; Cabin Boy," one of the techs said.

"Freaking wonderful," I whispered to myself.

"Ma'am incoming communcations request, it's from, Captain Rydia of the YWS Fleet," another tech said.

"Just who I wanted to talk to, put her on screen!" I order.

Then a woman who wore a captains attire appeared on screen, she couldn't be any older than her twenties, she had her legs crossed and her hands in her lap, smiling as if it had been the most cheery day in the world.

"Captain Rydia, just who I wanted to see," I said.

"Ah, I assume that you are the Sky Pirate who was involved in the battle with the Silver Shuriken?" she asked.

"Indeed, the Sky Ninjas did not quit there attack, my crew was forced to fight in self defense," I said quickly.

"Is that so, in that case, I will be willing to restore protection to your ship if that is the case," she said.

"That's all well a nice Captain Rydia, but it would be in your best interesting to talk to Captain Noni and the Sky Ninja Queen Nym to return my crew mates at once, and that's if you want to keep further conflict from erupting in the future." I said

Four pictures of the MIA Crew mates appeared on screen, Captain Rydia looks at each of them carefully, as if she was studying there faces, before she finally spoke.

"Alright Captain..." she paused for a moment.

"Captain Bianca Froza," I said.

"Alright Captain Bianca, I will be willing to have them set up a release for your crew mates," she said.

"I will send corrdinates for where I want the three to be drop off at, Captain Rydia over and out," I said.

"Send corrdinates for The Freeze Lord Moon, that's the drop off point," I ordered.

"Yes ma'am," the techs said.

I hit an intercom button and speck into it, "First Mate Wings and Second Mate Jim are to report to the bridge immediately," I said.

The inner sanctum of YWS's most secretive group was unlike any other. For one, the floors were like trampolines. Grif bounced around a bit before continuing on. He was looking for the Shipyard Control Center.

The sign took him to a large ball pit, which Grif swam across. He then climbed a ladder and took a rope swing over a large chasm. Rope ladders, monkey bars, zip lines, and a wide variety of playground equipment stood between Grif and his objective, but his SPEW training was more than equal to the task.

He finally arrived at the Shipyard Control Center. Before him stood a device, with the most terrible power in the entire universe. Griffinkeeper recognized it immediately: the MacGuffin device. He took a breath, stepped inside, and activated the device.
