Workshop will last approximately 60-90 minutes.

This workshop will cover editing and revision in poetry with a focus on discussion and collaboration. This is about commenting and critiquing while writing, this is about organizing and shaping that chaos in your head to better suit you.

This workshop isn't about reviewing poetry. This workshop is about YOU.
It's not about learning how to write. It's about learning how to write like you, and learning how to teach yourself.
~ Paraphrased quote, thanks Richard Hugo!

If you are interested on learning how to further your craft, please post below so we can know who is attending. In addition, please post a link of a past work of yours that you will like to edit. It can be a work you wrote two years ago, or one you wrote last week. But please only post ONE work.

Even if you've never written a poem before, still attend ;) We've got something for you too!

9am Sunday! I'm in!

Edit: My work isn't posted anywhere so I'm just cut and pasting it in the spoiler.
Spoiler
broken glass, broken hearts
midnight struck anew
shaded red, this sharpened edge
this devious thought afar
no wicked deed
of place secede
to mend this jagged rift
take no vow
dare call no foul
this love is not my gift

I'm interested, since I'm always bad at editing my own work. However, my schedule will be getting really crazy as of next week, so I'm not sure I'll make it.

Now, I hate to sound like a newbie, but how do these workshops work?

If I do show up, I'd tackle my latest piece: work.php?id=98756

No worries, Niteowl ^-^ On that day, maybe an hour or so before the workshop actually starts I'll be sending everyone interested a PM with a link to a wfp doc or googledoc (I'm undecided as to which one, but it won't matter!) and basically, it'll function kind of like a document/chatroom we can all chat and poet and stuffs.

Here is an example of one we had in March. If you press the play button, you can actually watch a video of how the workshop looks like LIVE. Or you can click on the right, where you may download a .doc version of the workshop in its entirety.

Also! I'm giving you all the notif, as a reminder: one week until workshop! Anyone is welcome to signup :D We still have plenty of time.
