Jackie

I flash a smile, "She's asleep?"

Nic

i nod and wrap my arms around her, "Yeah."

Jackie

I kiss him quickly, "Great."

Nic

I smile and kiss her back before sighing.

Jackie

I put my head on his lap and look up at him.

Nic

I flash a smile and look down at her, running a hand through her hair.

Jackie

I let him, smiling wide.

Nic

I smile with her and sigh.

Jackie

I study him, curious, "I have a question."

Nic

I nod, "Ask away. I'll be honest."

Jackie

I hesitate, "Why would you pick me out of all the girl's you've dated?"

Nic

I flash a smile and think, "I hoped you to be my saving grace, the only one able to make me slow down before I hurt myself... or someone else. I knew you were different, and I had to be worthy of you. I had to have someone see through me, instead of just at the wall I'd built."

Jackie

I flash a smile, "Aw."

Nic

I nod and look up, taking a deep breath before glancing at her again, "What made you choose me? Instead of some... goodie good with a full ride to any college he wanted, to any future... why'd you let me in?"

Jackie

"Because you we're different," I smile, "I knew you had something in you, and you helped me open up."
