Welcome to DNX’s official review thread, where I can guarantee you a quality review for any work you post. Keep in mind, however that I am only human, and the laws of time also apply to myself, but I will get your piece done as soon as I can. First off, just a few ground rules about what I DO NOT accept. 1. I will not review offensive or trashy works; they are a waste of time. 2. If you deem my review to be overly critical (which I will try not to do) just tell me and I shall apologise; DO NOT aggravate me. 3. Don’t badger me. I will get it done, trust me. 4. Don’t request more than one review every week, other people need reviews too! 5. Make sure you keep up with my posts on this thread before requested a review, some weeks I may be slightly busier than others. To keep myself organised, here is the order of pieces I’m reviewing at this moment in time: - - - - - - I will prioritise pieces that currently have no reviews, because it’s unfair when somebody writes a great work and it isn’t appreciated. Then, I will attempt to mark off the larger writings first (that’s novel chapters and lengthy short-stories), followed by the shorter stuff like poetry and miscellaneous. The following genres are those which I can deliver the best quality reviews for: Horror Stories I love tense, terrifying stories, and although I’m very hard to scare, I can appreciate a fantastic horror piece. I will prioritise this genre over others because it is my favourite, so you can expect a detailed and quality review from me if you need one! ’Swords and Sorcery’ Fantasy This is, basically, fantasy that isn’t sugar-coated: violence, war, death and mature characters are main conventions in this sub-genre. I greatly enjoy these style pieces, so if you need a review under this category, feel free to request! Realistic Poetry Poetry that deals with deep issues and the reality that we face in the modern world: no soppy romance or depressing emotional torture, just straight-talking themes that we see in the everyday world. Comedy I love a good laugh, and YWS hasn’t got enough humour, so it’s a win-win! I’d love to review any funny pieces, whether they contain dry or tongue-in-cheek comedy, but no trashy works; they just aren’t funny. That’s about it, although there are somethings that I don’t particularly enjoy reviewing, they’re barely worth mentioning, so request away, I look forward to seeing everyone’s stuff! Regards DNX

Daddy Long Legs are more closely related to crabs than spiders and somehow the idea of crablike creatures with spider legs that have escaped the entrappings of the primordial sea and now crawl over land and can walk up and down walls and ceilings creeps me more than I can adequately describe.
