Guys, I'm SO sorry! School was going on, and H.W got the better of me, so I wasn't able to post up anything! But I guess I'll start now.

Name: Blue Keets

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Appearance: She looks distinctly Asian. She has black eyes, long, stick-straight black hair (up to her waist, which she always keeps in a braid down her back). She's 5 "1", petite, and looks more intellectual than athletic although she does play pro Tennis.

Personality: She's introverted. Very secretive and quiet although if the situation calls for it, she can just rip the bandage off, or to be frank, be frank. She's generally nice, although her odd behavior does annoy people sometimes. Another important quality she has is that she's quite logical and scientific, even winning The National Science quiz at age 10 against late teenagers. (Yeah, she's sort of a genius.) Keep in mind that she does not talk in tongues. She just uses big words sometimes. ^u^

Fears: Being wrong. (Yeah, that's basically it.)

Likes/Dislikes: She like reading, writing, quizzes, competitions, and TV documentaries. She doesn't like losing, being proved wrong, abusive people and people who scoff at science.

Short Bio: She has a normal life, normal parents, normal school life (in a way), normal crushes, normal friends, although some people do dislike her for her achievements and intelligence. But it's worth mentioning she was born weak. (But it's not life-threatening or anything.)

Why were they on the plane? She was visiting her Uncle in Sydney after his return from his 5-year research trip in space.

Occupation: Intern at the State Science Research Institute.

Up for Love: Yup. (She's actually just going through her boy crazy phase.)

Other: Oh, she's really competitive. Although it must have been obvious already. ^^"
Even though she's a genius and everything, she's also thinks like a normal person and is quite naive.

Blue Keets

Once, a boy who sat in front of me looked back, and smiled. BAM! Instant crush.
His big brown eyes crinkled, and his smile made his pale face change into something unreal. I quite loved it. But me, being so shy, just ducked my head and listened to his genuine-sounding chuckle.

**********

I sat at the very back and watched on as everyone interacted with each other. Of course, I had no intention at all at doing that myself. I just thought it kind of...confusing. So I kept away. Even the brief moment that I had given myself to the wiles of the next gender half-an-hour ago was really confusing. The flood of emotion...I didn't know how to control it. So I thought it best to stay away.

(And that's why I've still never been kissed.) I chuckled, closing my eyes. I felt suddenly tired. And so, I dreamt of space and the surface of Neptune and the next Galaxy and of my Uncle Hilf, and his smiling face.

And I woke to panicked shouting, the plane shaking, and the sound of a calm and collected voice over the sound system, telling us to stay calm and to keep on our oxygen masks.

A shriek.

I knew it. I sensed that something was going to go wrong today. I knew it ever since I saw the plane, and noticed the abnormalities in the air that morning when I woke up.

So, in a sense, I was kind of expecting this.

I pulled on my oxygen mask swiftly and steadily, and looked at the others on the plane with me. Everyone was doing the same. And for a brief moment, I looked at the guy in front of me, and caught his eye. His eyes were scared and he clutched his little sister, who sat next to him and shook uncontrollably.

I, against my instincts, sent him a tiny smile. He saw, and then his lips moved, but then, that's when everything went literally downhill.

It was a blur, and I remember gasping for air as the plane went down and crashed in the water and I remember fumbling around, maybe looking for the boy and his sister, before someone pulled me out of the wrecks of the plane, which was vaguely, in my head, on fire.

And then, I woke up.

The plane is going down. Slowly gas masks unfold from the ceiling before us and almost everybody grabs at them in panic. I do the same and feel as the plane begins to drop.
A moment later the window smash and water snakes through the plane while people- those who survived the impact- struggle for the surface.
Finally, survival instinct taking over I push myself out of my seat and struggle for the surface- for a cracked window on the opposite side of the plane, just as I make it I spot a lone figure swimming desperately for the exit a heavy piece of mechanics – from when the plane shattered into the sea headed for them and instinct takes over.
I push my legs against the wall and grab out for their arms stretching mine out as far as they will go, trying hard as I can to keep water from escaping into my lungs.
I manage to pull the person away from the crate, just as it jams down to the spot where they were just seconds ago. Then I push through the window al kick desperately for the surface, taking whoever it was with me.
Everything is swarming in my head, swaying around me and making it impossible to see in a straight line.
Waves continuously overtake me sending me churning in all directions. The water around me is tinted with blood and everything starts to go grey.
Desperately I secure my grip on the persons arm and renew my struggle for the surface in one last attempt and just when I feel myself giving up from the pressure of the waves around me I break the surface.
I pull the person up with me, making sure that they are still breathing.
Nothing else seems to matter. My head is swarming. I can barely see straight.
But still I kick. Because my life depends on it.
It always has and I made a promise.
I can’t die today.
Sometime later I reach land and dragging the person up behind me away from the current I pull us both onto the dry sand.
Letting go I stumble a few more steps and then collapse onto the sand.

Sometime later I wake up.

When the life masks appear from the ceiling my heart literally starts to beat a million miles per second. This cannot be happening, right?
Just because I was upset before the whole family thing...
I don’t mean I want to die too!
I grab the oxygen mask and begin attempting to breathe into it, squeezing my eyes tightly shut when I feel the plane start to drop like I did when I was a kid.
Like if I didn’t see it, it wouldn’t be happening.
Water crashes all around us and my jaw knocks hard against the seat in front of me.
Still I struggle out of my seat to a gap in the roof, something in my arm paining me every second.
I push through people and objects floating around, finally making it to the surface and sucking in a massive lungful of breathe.
Then I grab a hold of a massive crate from the plane and simply just hold on until my vision clears.
Then I spot an island in the distance.
This is it. If I make it there then there is a possibility I will live.
I want to live...
Letting go of the crate I swim with everything I have inside of me, using every last drop of energy until I am crawling up onto the beach.
The I just stand for a moment trying to take everything in AND clear my head.
I spot a large leafy tree in the distance and proceed to walk towards it.
One step at a time, right?
A moment later it begins to pour down rain.
Brilliant!
Quietly I huddle under the tree, using what shelter it brings me and pulling my soaking coat even closer around me.
This is horrible. I didn’t die in the plane and I wasn’t about to let myself drown in the waves and now that I’m here I am going to die of hypothermia.
Just peachy!
But, maybe I can light a fire.
That would make everything a bit better wouldn’t it?

Quietly I thank god that I went ahead and learnt how to light a fire without matches at the “centre” last summer.
As quickly as I can I gather the materials and keep them away from the wind as best I can.
A small fire emerges and desperately I work to kindle it, to make it a little bit bigger so It will last longer.
Everything feels a bit warmer now.
I feel... tired.
A few minutes later the rain begins to cease and I crawl a few metres away from my fire, hoping that when I wake up again I will be able to restart it.
I close my eyes.
EVERY DAY MIGHT NOT BE GOOD...
BUT THERE IS SOMETHING GOOD IN EVERY DAY.

Don't be sorry your darkness is gone. I'll carry it for you.
Always. I'll keep it with mine.

Gotta catch em all!

I attempt to keep the plane as level as possible, knowing the more surface area available the more we'll slow down. I clench my jaw as the water rushes up to meet us.

Time seems to slow. I hear someone scream. I wonder if it is me or my copilot...

A wave seems to come up from the strangely still ocean, ready to grab us and hurl us into the depths.

The last thought is a resigned, I hate water, and the window shatters.

I get out of the cabin as fast as I can, but it wasn't fast enough. I'm not a strong swimmer. Since we hit the water, a crazed panic has overtaken me. I seem to be the only moving being left in the plane. My lungs are burning already. My head is swimming. I make my way toward the exit and jerk around angrily when someone pulls me away. I fight them until I see a piece of wreckage take the place I was just floundering in. I go limp with shock. My vision blurs. I need air.

My savior is dragging me out of the plane through a window. Black dots begin to play at the edges of my vision, and we break through to the surface. I gasp for air. I look around desperately.

The... man, I think- my senses too confused to be entirely sure- begins to pull me again. I try to tell him it's not necessary, but he seems beyond hearing. I try to make his job as easy as possible, but even weighed down with another person and minus one arm, he is a far superior swimmer. I make pathetic strokes as my mind searches for some kind of calm.

It fails miserably.

I start when my hands run against abrasive sand as the man drags us onto the beach. He lets go, stumbling ahead before collapsing, as I crawl farther up onto the shore.

I turn onto my back when I'm a significant distance away from the clawing tide, and all fades away to black.

While I sit isolated from the others, deep in thought, watching the sun finish rising, I don't even notice him. A guy, who must be about my age, sits beside me, he was one of the ones that helped calm me down. He's pretty cute. "Hey," he says. I wipe the tears from my face. "Are you okay?" he asks, with concern. "Yeah I'm fine, it's just I-" I pause. "It's alright," he says. I look down, and just now notice that my arm is bandaged with what looks like a jacket sleeve. "You had a nasty wound there, probably something on the plane got you when we crashed." he says, noticing my confusion. I knew I had a few minor cuts and bruises, and my neck is extremely sore, but seriously, how could I not notice that!? "Did you wrap it up?" I ask. "Yeah, I didn't want it to get infected, plus it wouldn't stop bleeding, you were knocked out, nothing you could do to help yourself." he shrugs. "Thank you!" I say. "Not a big deal." We start talking a while and I don't feel so alone anymore. I think I like this guy.

It's bright when I wake up. My skin is burning up and I look around not remembering what happened the night before. I'm on an island. By myself. Or maybe not by myself because I hear screaming coming from about a mile from where I am now. I pick myself up slowly and my limbs feel like jelly but i stay up. I walk for about 40 minutes towards the screaming and find a girl freaking out. I recognize that girl! Suddenly my memories race up, and i'm surprised at the deadly calm way I handled everything last night. I shake my head, and my now curly slightly drenched hair smacks me in the face. She is now refusing to talk to anybody and is walking away towards the bordering forest and sits down under the shade of a tree and begins sobbing.
I feel my own heartstrings begin to pull and I begin crying myself. For the girl, for her friends, for all of us. By the time I reach her i'm sobbing myself and I just sit down next to her and don't say a word. I bet that she hates me. For saving her. If I was on the plane with Avery i'd rather die with her than live without her. I look at the girl, her head between her knees as her whole body shakes with grief. I reach over and wrap her up in my arms.
" Honey, I'm sorry. I am so so so sorry." I say my voice breaking.
About two or three hours later when she's done she looks at me and asks what my name is.
I smile a sad smile and reply " My name is Cherish. What about yours hun?"
"Ellie." She replies thickly.

After the cute guy, who's name I didn't even ask, walks away, I get up, and go sit under aa tree at the edge of the woods. I start crying again, and a girl comes and sits beside me. I recognize her, she pulled me out as I blacked out. Why couldn't she just leave me to die!? I know it's not her fault, the girls tried to help save me. She sits there and apologizes, not getting into any specifics. I ignore her and continue crying. After what seems like eternity, we start talking. She introduces herself as Cherish, and she leads me over to the group of other survivors.

When I woke up, the sun was already in the sky.

I rubbed my eyes, now feeling quite puffy for some reason, and I noticed my surroundings, finally. The beach was a long, wide one, coconut trees marking the edge. The sand shone white-yellow as the sun hit it. And the sea climbed up the shore slowly, foamy-white.

It looked like something out of a Caribbean holiday advertisement, but I knew better. I was supposed to be a genius after all. I can't start being dumb now. Sigh...

I got up, and run my hands down my brown khaki shorts. It was covered with sand, but dry. Oh, how glad I am that I didn't wear skinny jeans or something long, even though mom suggested I should. Haha.

I don't even feel like laughing...

And then, I noticed the clustered group of people a mile from me, nice and cozy farther up the beach. And I clambered up, sneakers squealing, still wet.

I wondered who saved me...

This looks pretty awesome for a first storybook, nice work!

Would it be possible for me to reserve a position, if so I'll get my profile up either tonight or tomorrow.

I woke up the next day still on the plane in a area that water did not get into and i did not know water was in the plane , I get up and notice the roof is no longer the roof it is the floor , bits of water dropped onto my face , i barge the door open to be met by water, it starts flowing in , so i make my way out ,i finally reach the surface to find lots of dead bodys , i look all around me and in the distance i see an island, i swam towards it , i found crates still floating , so i thought it might be smart to take some in with me , i finally made it to shore , with 5 crates of something , i look around the beach and see no signs of life , so i walk into the jungle , i started leaving a trail so i knew how to get out , about half an hour of walking i found an old city , it was covered in vines , so i decided to set up camp here , i cleared out the place i wanted to stay in and built a camp fire to keep warm for when night came , i went to the highest tree and climbed as high as i could and yelled out , "IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE " it echoed throughout the whole island .

I woke up with the worst headache I'd ever had. The sun was shining right in my eyes, and the back of my shirt was covered in sand. I sat up and shielded my eyes. I was on some random island, out on the beach--the wet part of the beach, where seaweed gets stranded at low tide. Next to me was a tall guy in a waterlogged pilot's uniform. He didn't look so good. On the other side of him was another guy, who was just waking up.

"Hey," I said to the other guy. "Do you have any idea where we are? And what happened to the pilot guy?"

I groan at a bright light on my eyelids and slowly crack my eyes, shielding them with my hand. I stare at the scraped palm and wait patiently for my mind to put all the pieces back together.

Slowly, I move my hand away, squinting into a beating sun, and turn my head to my left. Palm trees. I turn my head to the right. Beach and jungle running along side by side.

I sat up slowly, cataloging aches and pains, and turned suddenly at a cough. Another man is moving but still asleep. I look out at the ocean which is when my mind puts the last piece of the puzzle into place.

My mouth goes dry. I twist my hands and stare at the cold waves pushing debris on shore. I child's doll comes to my feet, pushed by the quickly approaching tide. I stand slowly and pick it up. One eye is missing. The hair is drenched. I straighten the askew dress and cradle it. My hands are shaking. How many survived? How many have I killed?

I start and face a girl who groans. She sits up, taking in her surroundings. She can't be older than twenty.

She looks at me, her eyebrows raising, and then directs her gaze to my lower right. "Do you have any idea where we are? And what happened to the pilot guy?"

I point at myself, jumping again when a man replied, "Search me." I suppose he meant for both.

I face him. It's the man who had been sleeping just a few moments before. I vividly see, as if it was happening at that very moment, wreckage replacing me, and his face as he swam us to shore.

If it hadn't been for this stranger I would have died...

I sat down before my knees buckled, petting the doll's hair.

Blinding light wakes me up the next morning, burning into my line of vision and making me wake up.
My head is burning as I sit up and voices begin to fill my head.

Am I going crazy?

Slowly my vision starts to come back replacing the strange darkness that seems so out of place with the heat around here.

Where am I?

I look around and everything starts to become increasingly obvious.

I’m on a beach. Because the plane crashed into the ocean.

I remember the crash as if it had been just minutes ago.

The wreckage. The smoke. How the plane had crashed into the water.

I look around to see a man in a soaked pilot’s uniform standing up and the tanned girl from the plane sitting down on the sand a few metres away.

The man turns to face me, looking vaguely familiar from somewhere, when he sees me he looked shocked for some reason.

In his arms he’s holding what looks like doll.

I take a deep breath and look out to the sea, quietly taking in as the guy sits down onto the ground.

I look along the beach both ways and notice other people on about 200 metres up.
“Who are they?” I ask, sitting up a little; trying to get a better look out.

The last couple people wake up, and we all group together. We need a plan to survive. The guy who bandaged my arm sits beside me. Cherish sits on the ither side of me. After we all sit here a while and come up with nothing, the group kind of seperates. I go back over to being by myself, reflecting on my troubled past. Realizing that the future will most likely be the same, I mean, I'll have my fans, but not any true friends, and I never had a family. Well, we all most likely won't survive this. If we do I think I'll hunt down my biological parents, and start a solo career, because knowing the girls, that's what they would have wanted me to do. Then the guy who bandaged my arm comes back over and sits beside me again. "Sorry I didn't ask before, but what's your name?" He asks. "Ellie," I laugh, "What's yours?"
