Louis

I shrug and glance away, focusing on what I'm doing, "i froze. I don't know what came over me."

Sam

I watch him, "Okay then. T-they're gonna catch me sooner or later," I say, looking back down, "Even I know that."

Louis

I glance at her, wondering why she's telling me that, "I know. No one can run forever."

Sam

Stopping at that, I just nod and stay silent, pushing my bangs out of my eyes.

Louis

I study her before finishing lunch and handing her one. I take out a beer and offer it to her, not having much else.

Sam

I smile at thank him, taking the beer, "Where do we eat?"

Louis

I nod to the living room, "Anywhere really, but I usually eat in there."

Sam

I nod and follow him there, yawning a little bit.

Wait a second. Is this a...date?

Louis

I sit down and wonder what I'm doing. She's...a criminal. I'm a cop. What do i think I'm going to get out of this? Why haven't I called her in?

Sam

I hesitantly sit beside him and eat some of my sandwich, sighing as silence takes over.

Louis

Silence takes over and I can't think of anything to say. I mean, saying something like Hey, so you're a criminal, eh? That's cool wouldn't blow over well and nothing else comes to mind. Sighing, I eat and drink as if I'm alone, not ignoring her but not speaking.

Sam

I finish and down half my beer, glancing around, breaking the silence, "S'cool you have a tazer," I flash a smile.

Louis

I flash a smile back and nod, remembering that I'm still in full uniform, "Yeah. Never used it though."

Sam

I study him, still smiling, "Still. You could play around with it. I mean, if someone annoys you...you could use it."

Louis

I flash a smile and look at her, "I suppose...but that's sort of illegal for an officer to do such a thing." Eh...so is this, right?
