I look up at Jackie and motion her over, sighing. Jace walks over to Rayah and stands above her, expecting an explanation.

Jackie

I stand and walk over to Nic, flashing a smile.

I look at Jace, "What?"

Nic

I smile and pat the one side of my lap for her, shifting Halee on the other.

I drop beside her, "I don't like it when you talk about your previous boyfriends in front of me."

Jackie

I smile and sit on his lap, "Can we go home?"

Rayah

I sigh, "Then I shall not."

Nic

I nod before remembering something, losing my smile when I do. I look down and take a deep breath, "I might have done something really stupid, Jacks..."

I flash a smile and nod, "Thank you."

Jackie

I study him, "What?"

I pull him down with me and look up at the stars.

Nic

I take a deep breath and lay back, bringing her and a now-sleeping Halee with me, "I was bitter...drunk. Took it out on the house."

I flash a smile at her and look up at the sky.

Jackie

He lays me down on him, "Why?" I ask, confused.

I twine my hand with his and rest my head on his shoulder.

Nic

I swallow and look at her, "Because the one person I loved...I thought was dead."

I smile at her and sigh, kissing her forehead.

I sigh, kissing him, "I'll fix it."

I smile, looking over at him, "We're in a graveyard...looking at the stars."

Nic

"No, Jacks..." I shake my head, "I did it. I'll fix it. I just got you back. I don't want you doing anything for my mistakes."

I pull back, "No. I won't let you. I just got back. I want to do something."

I nod and stand, "Can we go home please?"

Nic

I study her before looking up at the stars, "Fine. But tat doesn't mean I have to like it."

I flash a smile and sigh, standing and taking her hand, "Yeah, we'll leave the lovebirds to themselves."

I nod, resting my head on his chest, "And I'm okay with that."

I nod again and make my way to the car, Lo and Rye already in the backseats.

I don't say anything more, keeping myself from anything I'll regret, and sigh instead.
