Scared as sh*t I just run back, slamming the door behind me and running upstairs. Theres no such things as ghosts, there's no such thing as ghosts.

I sigh, shifting back, "I want you to shift."

Jace

Rayah comes running and slams the door behind her, a mask of fear evident on her face. I don't hesitate to follow her, taking her in my arms once I get there, "What's wrong? What happened?"

I tilt my head to the side and grunt. That would not be wise... I don't like human and I don't know how to make sure I'm...covered after shifting.

Rayah

Right when I get to my room Jace takes me in his arms, hushing me.

I swallow, shaking, "I saw her. Sh-She's a g-ghost..." I say, glancing around.

Zoey

I roll my eyes again and stand, running downstairs and outside.

Jace

I comfort and console her, hushing her, "It's okay. Everything is alright."

I grunt before following her, my stomach rumbling.

Rayah

I plop down on the bed and put a hand on my forehead, closing my eyes and trying not to freak.

I watch him, "Why do you keep following me?"

Jace

I sit at her side and watch, my heart aching for her.

I grunt and catch up with her. What else do I have to do?

Rayah

I take another deep breath and calm myself, twining my hand with his.

Zoey

I shrug, shifting and trotting to the nearest bench. Curling up underneath the shade, I pant and lick my paw.

Jace

I sigh and stroke the back of her hand with my thumb, not finding any words to say.

I join her and huff a side, chewing at the wood from the bench.

Rayah

I open my eyes to look at him, "You wanna go to sleep?"

Zoey

People walk by, giggling at us, and one of the teenage girls pick us up and carry us somewhere. I growl and bite their thumbs, but they still don't put us down.

Jace

I lay beside her and sigh, "If you want to."

Indigo

We're scooped up by humans and I don't know what to do, finding Zoey biting them in an attempt to be released. Confused, I do the same, but they don't put us down. I wonder where they're taking us, kicking with my back legs, and can't help but hope it's not to my old owner.

TIME LAPSE: TO FUNERAL

The day finally here, I fix Jace's tie and straighten his jacket. Me wearing all black, I put my heels on and can't help but wonder how Nic is gonna handle this.

Lol. Yes. I'ma just play Nic though, since he's the one with the most emotion.

And...hm. Didn't MM say he wanted part of the funeral?

Nic

I fix my tie before turning back to Halee and straightening out her dress. She looks as sad as a child could be, starting back at me expressionless. I kiss her forehead and pull her into a hug, not sure how I'm supposed to do this.

"We're gonna be fine," I whisper, "I promise, nothing more is going to happen to us. I'm going to make sure of it."

He's not gonna be participating in that much chit-chats. On his profile he says he's only checking in every like three hours. *Shrugs* If I'm wrong then I guess so.

Rayah

Once ready, I walk out into the living room to Nic and Halee. Crouching before Halee I fix her hair and she looks at me, expressionless. I swallow, seeing the resemblance that she's gotten from Jackie. "You'll be fine," I repeat Nic's words, flashing a halfhearted smile. She nods slowly, playing with the ruffles in her dress.

I stand again and sigh, "You guys ready?"

I don't watch Rayah as she tends to Halee, the whole maternal thing reminding me too much of Jackie. When she backs off, I scoop Halee up and take a deep breath. I nod at Rayah's question, Jace lingering solemnly behind her with the twins.

I nod and make my way to the car, taking Riley's hand and putting her in the backseat, doing the same for Logan.
