She drops me and stumbles backwards. Scared out of my mind, I bring my knees to my face, shivering. That was the scariest thing I have ever experienced.

Rayah

No.

I glare at Jackie and she starts freaking out, shivering and everything, and I look back at Jace, "I couldn't do that. I know Jackie knew. Her power tells her."

She swallows and glances up at me, "I-I'm sorry."

I look at her, shaking my head, "How come you never told me?!"

She starts crying, taking her head in her hands, "Because I didn't want to ruin you're life more than you already had."

Nic

I take my chance and run to Jackie. I wrap my arms around her and shield her from my sister-in-law.

Jace

"Rayah...stop this," I order, shaking from the stress of holding my power this long, "This isn't you."

Jackie

Nic runs to me and wraps his arms around me, making me a little more content. Rayah's power dissapears and she re appears to normal, a tear running down her cheeek as she looks at me. She shakes her head and just runs out.

Rayah

I run out and to my secret place, getting there in the next five minutes. What just happened?

I take my head in my hands and keep crying, my brain shutting down on me again. I wrap my arms around myself, not believing what I just did.

Nic

I hold Jackie close, relaxing once Rayah returns to normal, "It's okay."

I bolt after Rayah, following her to her secret place, and hesitate at the entrance. Once I'm calm enough, I sit beside her and wrap my arms around her without a word.

Jackie

I glance up at Nic before looking back down at the burns she gave me, "I should've told her."

Rayah

Jace comes and wraps his arms around me. I look up at him and rest my head on his shoulder, "I-I can't belive I hurt her..."

Nic

"Shh," I whisper, running my hand up her spine, "It's okay. No regrets, Jacks. It's over with."

I shake my head and take a deep breath, holding her close, "It wasn't you, Rayah. It was something else."

Jackie

I nod and sigh, standing, "I need to go home," I cross my arms, "We need to relax."

Rayah

My memory already starts fuzzing and I sigh, closing my eyes, "I know. It wasn't me."

Nic

I stand and nod, taking her outside and to Alyx and the kids.

"I'll take care of them," he assures us, "For the both of you guys. I'll take them home. You two need to relax."

I kiss the top of her head and sigh, "Just relax, Ray. Everything's okay now. Everyone's fine."

Jackie

I nod and flash a smile, "Thanks," I walk out with Nic, holding his hand. We get to our house and I walk in, ploping down and sprawling out on the couch with a smile.

I nod again, cuddling into him, "I'm sorry."

Nic

I flash a smile at Jackie and crouch beside her, "Need anything?"

I tighten my grip around her, "It's okay. Don't apologize, Ray."

Jackie

I sigh and stand, "I'm going to go get my own shirt on," I smile.

I look up at him, "Okay. But I really am."

Nic

I flash a smile and watch her, plopping down on the couch.

I look down at her, "For what, Rayah?"

Jackie

I nod and walk upstairs, looking through my drawers to find a decent one.

I shrug, "For leaving..."

Nic

I sigh and close my eyes a moment.

I swallow and look away, "It's in the past. Just come home."

Jackie

I find one and take off my shirt, throwing that one on. I walk back downstairs and plop next to Nic, laying down and putting my legs in his lap.
