The party turned out to be everything Avery wanted. Wonderful. Mystical. All in all, like an Iceland fairy tale.
I was dressed in a black tux with an ice blue tie on and a white fedora. I wanted to match what Avery was wearing, which is supposed to be a surprise. Can't wait to see her.
Spoiler
I don't know what she's wearing so I'll add on
Jane Wills
For the first time in a long time, I could finally say I was happy. Emmett liked me. I didn't even know I liked him as much as I did. All I wanted to do was kiss him. All day. All night. Every hour. I didn't care. I wanted to be with him no matter what.
He drove me to my house. But as we drove, we saw a house filling up with party guests and heard music from two blocks away.
"I think we should go," I remembered the invitation I got for the party. Everyone was supposed to go from the Sophomore to Senior classes.
"You want to go to a party like that?" Emmett was shocked.
I looked at him from the corner of my eye and caught him glancing at me.
"Come on. Everyone was invited! She took the chance to actually sent those invites out, even to me." I smiled.
To be honest, I wanted to go. I wasn't a party type person, never was. But this masquerade thing seemed nice and delicate. Couldn't hurt a fly. That's why I drank at parties, because I felt uncomfortable... but I think this one may be different. Beautifully different.
"Janey..." he shook his head. "You didn't even pick out a dress and the party is tonight.
"I can shock you."
I went shopping the minute I got the invite. Crazy, I know. But the whole idea of this party made me happier because it wasn't a party party, it was a masquerade. I didn't have to feel out of place, It's a costume party, essentially.
"So, you have a dress?"
"Mhm," I tried to hide my smile.
"If you can get ready in an hour tops, we'll go."
"Challenge accepted."
