Chris

Will was being released! I could've danced, but instead I reached over and hugged Lena tightly and smiled.

"If you don't mind stepping out, I'll ask him a few questions and just examine the wound and then he can leave," the doctor said.

Lena, Avery, and I left the room. Avery was tearing up, but smiling.

"I'm so glad he can leave," she said, wiping her eyes. "It sounds like my party can go on after all!"

"Party?" I asked.

"Oh right, I didn't tell you Chris," she said. "I'm having a masquerade party this weekend. Linnie's been inviting people around school."

"How about that for our first date," I asked Lena, raising an eyebrow.

"Sounds good," she buried her head in my chest. "Wait, Avery, I still need a dress, shoes, a mask-"

"Relax girl, we'll go shopping today," Avery said. "If not, I have some dresses in mind for you!"

Lena giggled. "So who's coming?"

"It's gonna be smaller than my birthday party," Avery promised. "I made sure Linnie only invited certain people."

Jane Wills

"Are you okay?" Josie asked, out of breath.

All I did is nod in shock. I couldn't believe it. She came to help me. Last I saw her she wanted me to get hit. Not Drake.

"Thank you," I whispered, playing with my hair.

"You need a ride back, huh?" she seemed so calm.

How could she be calm? My heart was racing, I was still scared of him. How could she be so sure he wouldn't do anything else?

"Yeah," I tried a smile.

~~Back At School~~

I was at my locker, pulling some books out without even looking at the titles. Throwing a notebook in, I noticed a mirror in the back of the locker. I froze. My face was pale and scared. The pupils of my eyes huge as the blue hid underneath them. My hair, in a braid, was messy. Strands fell out. And the purple hickey on my neck, such an eye sore.

"Jesus," I whispered, covering the hickey with my fingers.

Thankfully, no one was in the hall. My phone vibrated in my pocket a bunch of times. I knew they were calls and texts from Drake. I pulled it out of my pocket and threw it in my locker.

Looking at the mirror once again, I pulled it off the locker wall. It was tough, but I managed. It had a black frame made of plastic, trying to pull off pretty. I noticed a garbage bin just a few feet away from me. Instead, I threw it at the ground as hard as I possibly could. Bad luck for seven years? Bullshit. I am bad luck.

I couldn't stand to look at myself anymore. It was horrible, who I have become. I have been someone else for ten years. Some strange girl that only existed for protection. She grew. She took me over. I couldn't recognize myself anymore. It was horrible.

My vision blurred as I fell to the floor. The mirror was by the garbage can, it pieces around it. I was far from it.

Touching my face, I felt something wet. My breathing was hard and my heart raced. I was crying. Oh God no. I don't cry!

I couldn't stop! The tears just kept falling.

Finally out of the hospital! I was at Chris's safe and sound.

"This time let's watch something not-scary." Avery said, holding onto my hand.

We were in the living room, sitting on the couch. Chris was searching through the DVD shelf and Lena was grabbing some snacks. I loved his house. It reminded me of an actual home. Family pictures with the glass not cracked. Family memorabilia. Candles on the fireplace mantle. And comfy furniture. Complete opposite of my house.

"Like what? She's The Man?" Chris laughed.

I joined him and Avery sighed. "Guys, maybe like Made Of Honor?"

"I vote yes for that!" Lena yelled from the kitchen

"How about Expendables?" I said.

They all stood silent for a moment, thinking over the movie choices. Lena came into the room with a bowl of popcorn, chips, and some Coke.

"Just go on the movie channels and we'll choose from there," Lena said, chewing on some popcorn.

Chris helped her set everything down and they joined us on the couch.

"Alrighty then," he smiled, grabbing the TV remote.

Chris

One arm around Lena and the other hand browsing through the movie genres. Oh shit, I never went to practice! I remembered.

"Shit, I gotta call Coach Carr! I'll be back in a sec," I said, handing Lena the remote.

I ran out of the room and dialed the number. "Hey, Coach Carr its Chris," I explained when he answered. "I've been feeling sick so I didnt come in today, I'm-"

"Don't bullshit me, Gills," Coach interrupted. "Your mom called and said you were staying with your friend. I understand, but no more ditching practice."

"Yes sir."

"Good. You'll run practice next Monday instead. Be fifteen minutes early," he said gruffly before hanging up.

I put the phone back in my pocket and walked back into the living room, only to find them arguing.

"C'mon Will please?" Avery begged. "We watched scary movies last time! Can't we watch a rom-com?"

"Yeah Will, Ave and I would rather watch The Notebook or 50 First Dates or something," Lena said.

Will shook his head. "What about Chris and I? Why can't we watch The Boondock Saints? It's a good movie and neither of you have seen it!"

Both girls groaned.

@ It's Avery's party. So I think we have to wait for Desti to answer these questions.

I wake up in bed in the hospital. I look at the clock on the table next to me, 11:30 PM. Wonderful. I look around. I find Luna, Lini, and their mother all sleeping in their chairs. Matt sits looking at me, Lauren sleeping with her head on his shoulder. And to my surprise I find Emmett, sitting fully awake. What's he doing here, I don't really know himm. Matt gently eases Lauren off of him and comes over. He kisses my forhead and I flinch. I don't een want to be touched after what happened this afternoon. I tear up a bit at the memory of it. Matt strokes my hair. "It's alright. You're okay now. You're safe." he whispers. Emmett just sits there watching us. I want to talk to him. Luna, Lini, and their mother wake up and I tell them to head home. After they leave, so does Lauren, who's still sick. That leaves me, Matt, and Emmett. I send Matt down to the cafeteria and tell him to get me some water. I actually just want him to leave. Once he's gone I call Emmett over. "What is it?" he asks. "What are you doing here? I mean, thanks for helping me and trying to save me before, but why are you here?"

Once I hear Carly's been taken to the hospital, I run there. I get there and bust into her room. Lauren, sick as she is, meets me there. When we get in her room we find Luna and a guy named Emmett. Who is he and what's he doing here? I don't ask. We sit and wait and eventually Luna's mother and sister come in. Everyone soon dozes off except Emmett and I. I watch him and make sure he will not be the next to hurt Carly. I think about that scumbag that did. He was taken by the cops, they saw what happened, so he'll be in jail now; but I swear, if for any reason I ever see him, I will kill him. I mean that. We sit in silence and finally Carly wakes up. I kiss her head, but she doesn't like it. I really just want to kiss her all over right now, but after what just happened I doubt she'll be upp for that any time soon. I wonder if she'll ever trust another guy again. Being she already has trust issues, probably not, but I'll try. She sends everyone home except me and Emmett. There's something about the way she is looking at Emmett that I just don't like or trust. She sends me out to get her some water. I don't want to leave her alone in there with that guy, but I do anyway. I head downstairs just as she requested, but can't believe my eyes when I get back.

Lena

We were at Chris's house arguing to choose a movie. Me and Avery wanted 50 First Dates or Notebook because it was so romantic. But the boys wanted to watch The Boondock Saints. I mean, yuk! I don't want to see any more action movie.

We both groaned and Chris and Will grinned.
"No way. If you guys are seeing that movie, we're out. I'd rather go over at Ave's house and have a sleepover." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Oh, come on! Will's just out of the hospital today! Let's do something for him." Chris says.

"You're just saying that because even you like The Boondock Saints. That's a crappy film. Way too old." I say, laughing.

"Maybe." Chris says, shrugging and putting an arm around me. I smile and rest my head on his chest.

He took back the remote from me and put on The Boondock Saints. I frowned at sat up. I grabbed the remote from him and switched it to 50 First Dates.

"Hey!" Chris says, looking at me.

"Hey, the 50 First Dates! Oh my gosh, here he comes! Ave!" I squeaked.

Will and Chris rolled their eyes. Chris took the remote and switched the t.v. off. "What?" I mouthed to Ave, who folded her hands, waiting for an explanation.

"Okay. Since me and Will cannot see 50 First Dates and you guys cannot face The Boondock Saints, let's just flip through the DVD's." Chris says, getting up to get a bunch of DVD's.

He hands each bundle to each of us and we sit there checking. I really need to get through. I want to watch fast. That's when I come up.

"Hey! How about What to Expect When You're Expecting?" I say, gritting my teeth.

"That's hilarious!" Will says. "Isn't that new?"

"Yup." Chris says, grinning. "But nah. Let's check for something else."

After a few minutes, Avery runs up to the DVD player and puts in a movie. Will, Chris and I sit back, and wait to see. She comes back, cuddles with Will on the couch.

"Which movie is this?" Will whispers to her.

"The Holiday. Enjoy. Its so romantic." she spoke back, planting a kiss on Will's lips.

Chris looked back at me and smiled. I snuggled up to him, and his hands which were around my came down to my waist. He pulled me closer and we sat there, to watch the romantic flick.

Chris

The Holiday wasn't my first choice, but I let the girls relax and enjoy it. My arms were wrapped around Lena's waist and her head was resting on my chest. Will and Avery were cuddling on the couch as well, and everything seemed to be great.

"This movie isn't too bad," I said halfway through the film.

Lena nodded. "Vivienne and I used to watch it at sleepovers all the time."

"Well, it's very romantic," I whispered in her ear, bringing her closer.

I leaned down and kissed her cheek, then her lips softly. She let out a happy little giggle and deepened the kiss. My fingers ran through her soft hair and continued kissing her softly.

"Awwww," Avery said, interrupting us.

We both blushed and pulled away.

"If you're gonna make-out, go upstairs," Will laughed teasingly.

I looked at her. "If you wanna finish the movie, we'll stay down here."

"Nah, I've seen it plenty of times," she smiled.

"You guys don't mind?"

"No, get out of here lover boy!" Will chuckled.

I led Lena up the stairs to my room. The walls were painted a light blue and my bed spread matched. On one end of the room was a large mounting board full of medals, ribbons, and team pictures. My guitar was leaning against my bed an my desk was to the right of it, covered in homework, my laptop, and my song journal.

"Well this is my room," I said.

"Nice," she said, looking at the board.

"Yeah, I like it," I nodded. "The blue colours make me feel like I'm in the ocean."

"I guess that's why they call you Gills," she chuckled.

I laughed too, coming over and giving her a kiss. I looked in her eyes, smiling. I loved her so much. She looked back at me for a moment before kissing me. I led her over to the bed, butterflies in my stomach just from kissing her. Pulling her on top of me, we kissed sweetly. To my surprise, I felt her slowly bringing my shirt up over my head. She ran her hands along my bare chest, giggling mischievously. I started to bring up her own shirt and she made no moves to stop me.

"Are you sure?" I asked between kisses.

She nodded, and helped me bring it over her head. I ran my hands along her stomach and back gently, marvelling at how smooth and soft her skin was. We went back to kissing when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door. Seriously? We were interrupted again?!

"I'm coming!" I sighed, kissing her again before running downstairs.

I yanked open the door to find Allen there, looking hard-faced and angry. "I heard Avery was here. Where is she?" he demanded.

"Dude, why are you here?" I asked bewildered.

He held up a hand to stop me and stepped inside. "Where is she?"

"Get the fuck out of my house Allen!" I shouted. "You can't-"

Without any hesitation, he punched me in the jaw and stormed into my living room.

Lena

And yet again, we were making out, in Chris's ocean blue room. I couldn't tell how amazing it was to be touching his chest. I could feel his abs, everything so strong and warm. I moved my hands along his upper body slowly, as we kissed. He kissed me on the lips, cheeks and the neck when there we were interrupted. Again.

"I'm coming!" he said, holding my face and kissed me. He put his shirt on and went downstairs to get the door.

I waited in his room, with only my bra on, examining my body in his room. Man, do I look sexy. I started posing with my hair and everything when I heard someone yelling at someone from downstairs.

"What's going on?" I muttered and put my shirt back in, fixing my hair to the way it was before.

I came downstairs to see Allen punch Chris on his jaw. He gave me glares, and went down to the living but I stopped him. Avery and Will were having their own cozy time. I'm not going to allow him to stop them.

"Don't you do dare think about it!" I said, storming down the stairs and coming up front to the door which leads to the living room. It was closed.

Chris got up, feeling his jaw. He looked really angry and came up to me. He wanted to give Allen a punch but I stopped him. Anger wasn't the solution.

"I want to see Avery. Now." Allen said. "Since you're a girl, I can't hit you too bad. But if I have no other choice, I'll have to do it."

"You'll never touch her. This is my house and I'll decide who to come in and who to not." Chris said, pushing him back the door but he was too strong.

He moved me out of the way and opened the door. He saw The Holiday being played on the t.v. and looked around for Avery. He very well did spot her. Only making-out.

Allen

I didn't care whatever happened. After that kiss at that party, I'm sure she blushed. And I'm fucking sure she wanted me back. So, I found out that Avery was at Chris's house. So, I went there. To talk to Avery, get things straight because she's mine. Forever mine.

I stormed into Chris's house. When he didn't allow me in, I got mad. I was already mad at Avery for not even texting me after that party. So, unfortunately I punched Chris on his jaw. I didn't mean it but nobody could stop me. Then, it was Lena. Not her again! But they couldn't stop me. I was too strong.

I kicked the door open, and scanned the room for Avery. To my horrific scene, I saw Avery making-out with Will on the couch. I heard he got released today from the hospital and they're already having sex?

I saw Avery, topless and she was in her bra and her pretty underwear whereas Will was shirtless and had his boxers on. And they were seeing The Holiday. As Will kissed her neck and everywhere he could think off, they saw me. Avery's eyes widened and pushed Will away. I froze, too shocked to speak. I never thought it would come to this.

"Will! ALLEN!" Avery whispered.

"Come on. One more kiss." Will said, groaning, grabbed her face and kissed her and then, they pulled away.

"Allen!" Avery said, pretending to beam but it didn't work.

She put her dress on fast and Will put his shirt on, but not his pants. He decided to walk around in his boxers. He rubbed through his hair and grinned at me.

"What's up?" Will asked.

Avery came up to me and smiled but I didn't. "I thought you'd never do this to me." I said, in a small voice. "Guess I was wrong."

From that, I didn't want to hear whatever she said. They weren't drunk. They had their senses. But I was drunk when I had sex with Jane. So, this wasn't a mistake. She knew.

I walked off Chris's house with Avery screaming out my name. I drove back to school, speeding. I don't care if I get a fine but I was just so mad. Very. I almost crashed into a girl. Almost. But I put the emergency brake so it was all okay.

"Watch were you're going, you bitch! Who're you trying to kill?!" she yelled at me.

Chris

I watched Allen peel out of my yard with Avery screaming after him. Well shit.

"Ow, he hit me hard," I grunted, rubbing my jaw.

"I'll get you some ice," Lena said numbly.

"Why did she run after him?" Will said, suspicious.

"Dunno dude."

"Hey, what was that about?" he asked Avery when she came back inside.

"I just wanted to talk to Allen..." she said quietly. "He looked upset."

Lena came back with the ice and I pressed it to my jaw. No one said anything and the air was thick with tension.

"What did you have to say to him, Ave? I thought you talked to him at that freshman party," Will said at last.

I knew that this wasn't really Lena and I's place to be so I took her hand and brought her back upstairs. We sat on the bed but didn't say anything or resume kissing. I could hear Will raise his voice and Avery pleading with him downstairs.

"How's your jaw?" Lena asked quietly.

"Better. The ice is helping."

Silence again. Will and Avery were still arguing downstairs. I heard Avery mutter something and then slam the door behind her. There's a loud thud downstairs followed by a string of curse words from Will. I ran back downstairs to see Will holding his hand and a large dent in the wall.

"Dude, what the fuck?" I say angrily.

He shook his head. "I'm sorry. She just made me so angry! She kissed him at that party!"

"She cheated on you?" My anger had dissipated and now I was just concerned.

"Yeah," he said bitterly. "And then she had the nerve to run after him. If she still likes him, why is she with me?"
