@Nike: Forgot to say, but I love where Jane and Emmett are going too!
Emmett

It looks like I've missed a lot. Lot of drama going on already, not even three full days in. My friend Abi-Marie- a talkative girl with a Brazillian mother who bonded with me over individualism and Biology- is going on about some swimmer guy who lost both girls he liked and tried to get them back with some incredibly cheesy song that may-have-been-sorta good-ish.

Obviously, I wasn't really paying all that much attention.

Abi sort of talks to much for her own good. She's smart, but looking at her and her Brazillian booty you wouldn't be able to tell. That annoys me about her. We've made-out once or twice, but because of her air-headed tendancies I don't think we could ever be anything real. Not like me and... me and...who? Maybe... Jane...? No, no. She's pretty and smart... but a drunkard... and untrustful...

"Is there something up with Lacey?" Abi's question startles me from my probably ridiculous thoughts.

"My sister? Uh, nothing. Why?"

She eyed me. "I don't think I believe-"

"Oh, what's that?" I point to a cluster of people, hoping to distract my pretty friend.

Her eyes lit up. "It looks like a fight! Wanna go see?"

I was going to say 'Uh, no' but Abi dragging me along towards the cluster of people. Seeing who was there sent me frowning.
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

I make pancakes from scratch, enough for everyone, but when I call everyone down I find that Avery has already left. Really every attempt I make at being friends with this girl, she pushes me away. Oh well. Lauren doesn't seem to be feeling too well, so after we eat, I send her back to bed. Matt and I can handle the mess by ourselves. We clean up much faster than I expected, so I ask the question that has been racking my brain since last night. "So about that kiss last night. What does that make us now?" He sort of chuckles and pulls me close to him. "What do you want it to mean?" He kisses me, and I kiss him back. He picks me up and lays me on my sofa. I pull him down onto me. We start making out when the door slams open and my mother stomps in. She drags Matt outside and locks him out. Oh no.

She walks over to me and I catch Matt peering in the window. She lifts me up by my hair until we are eye to eye. "I knew I couldn't trust you! I hate you! You're the worst daughter ever! And yes I know about the party!"She shouts many other insults at me. She drops me to the ground and actually kicks me in the gut. She orders me to stand up and I obey, closing my eyes. I feel the pain of the impact from her fist hitting me square in the nose. She slaps me across the face and beats me in several other ways. After a few minutes of abuse she grabs me by my hair and drags me upstairs. She throws me on my bed and locks the door from the outside. I hear her throw Lauren out as well. I lay on my bed hysterical crying for a while and in an excrutiating amount of pain. I have to escape, I can't deal witht this anymore, and there is no standing up to mother.

I pack up a few belongings and some clothes. I grab my bag and crawl out my bedroom and climb down the tree in the back. I sneak around to the front and once I hit the road I run until I get to the corner of Lauren and Matt's street. Once there I text them to meet me at the corner. In a matter of minutes they are here, and I tell them my plan. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm running away. I tell them I'll call them when I get somewhere that I can stay. They wish me luck and I leave. It's already dark out, so I can't go far. I get to the school and over to some of the picnic tables that nobody uses. I put my stuff down and try to get into the building, every door and window is locked, and it's too late for anyone to be in there. I set my stuff up at a picnic table between the building and the garden, hidden by a clump of weeds. I lay down and pull out my jacket to use as a blanket. Slowly, I somehow fall asleep.

After we eat, Carly sends Lauren back to bed, she's not feeling too well. We clean up the mess from the party ourselves, and finish surprisingly faster than we would have thought. Carly looks at me blankly, confusion in her eyes. "So about that kiss last night. What does that make us now?" she asks. I make a somewhat chuckling type noise, because I was about to ask her the same thing. I pull her close to me, closer than we've ever been before. "What do you want it to mean?" I ask. I kiss her, and she kisses me back. After a couple of minutes I pick her up and lay her on the sofa aand she pulls me onto her. We start making out, but are interrupted when her parents walk in days early.

Her mother drags me outside and locks me out. She's not stupid, she knows about the party as well. I peer into the window to see what she does to Carly. Carly gets it way worse than I expected, and I desperately try to get back in, but ultimately fail, knowing it is pointless to even try. A while later Lauren is thrown out as well, and we walk home together. I tell Lauren everything that's happened.

Quite a while after I get home, I get a text from Carly to meet her at the corner. I walk down there with Lauren. Carly tells us she plans to run away, and rightfully so. She doesn't know where she's going but will call us when she gets there. Now I'm worried. Who knows where she'll end up? I knows she can't stay in that house, but still. We wish her luck and head back home. I tell Lauren why I'm concerned and she understands, she even shares some of my fears for Carly's safety, but the fear would be much worse if she would have stayed. When I get home I hang out in my room. I don't get a wink of sleep.

She whirled around and punched me. I didn't flinch or try to move; I let it happen. She made contact with my nose, and while it wasn't broken, it was definitely bleeding. She walked away briskly, leaving me on the ground. The crowd dispersed as quickly as it had gathered. To my surprise, it was Jane that helped me up.

"Thanks for standing up for me," she said. "I'm sorry you got hurt."

I shrugged. "I was a jerk. Better me than you. I just wish I had been honest from the beginning..." I cut myself off. I was talking too much.

Avery pulled a Packet of tissues from her back pack and handed them to me. "You're really bleeding."

"Well shit," I sighed, pinching my nose.

"She'll cool down eventually," Will said. "I think she's just angry."

I nodded. "I should've just admitted it to both of them. I had no idea that it would end up this way, though!"

I kicked a locker roughly, feeling pissed off.

"Calm down. I'm sure they'll forgive you," Jane said. "Anyways, I'll see you. Hope everything works out!"

*****

That night, I sat at my desk, trying to concentrate on my math homework, but I couldn't focus. People harassed me all day; talking about my song, asking me if the rumors were true, laughing that I had taken a punch from a girl. It was driving me nuts.

Closing my book, I laid down on my bed, eyes closed. I usually wasn't this much of a jackass; what made me change?

"Penny," I called across the hall to my younger sister. "Do you think I'm a jackass?"

She opened her door and looked out at me, smirking. "Not unless you're with your friends and you want to be left alone. Why?"

"Just problems with girls, I guess."

"Oh, you mean liking both of them and breaking apart their friendship by lying and leading them on? Yes, you are a jack ass for that."

"Wait, how did you know that?" I asked.

"Wendy's sister told her all about it and she told me," she grinned widely, showing off her braces.

Of course. Wendy was her best friend, and her sister was in my grade. Her sister was a shit-talker too.

"Well, thanks. That's all I was wondering," I sighed.

Penny shut her door with an audible slam. She was probably too wrapped up in Facebook or something to care. My phone suddenly vibrated, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw that Lena had texted me.

I couldn't believe Josie punched this guy. Maybe he was that Chris that liked two girls. Yeah, it was him. I just couldn't believe that she got mad at me for not understanding the situation even though I was never in it. I was just trying to be reasonable that rumors are mostly lies and that what she said could be a lie. That's all. Because what they said about me was far from true. So I believed that that was as well.

Once I helped Chris up from the floor, his friends helped him out. The girl looked familiar, chocolate skin and fair eyes. She was the one with that birthday party! I don't really remember it, but she seemed like good people.

"Take care," I called after them as they walked away.

Josie had completely ignored me once Chris came into view, that's why our fight was over. I turned on my heel to get back to my class since the crowd and fury died down. And that's when my heart stopped.

Emmett. He saw everything. Not only did he know I was a drunk, but now I looked like an egotistic bitch. Amazing.

"Emmett," I sighed, knowing that he wouldn't care.

Why did I feel like such a loser? My heart hurt and I wanted to cry once I saw the look on his face. A girl was with him, she seemed pretty hyper and looked a bit like him.

"You know each other?" The girl asked.

I just looked at him and he looked back. I need to throw up.

"Not really," Emmett looked away.

Ouch. God, why did that hurt?

"Oh man! You're that Jane girl! The one that fucked Allen! Oh damn... You're the slut from Lincoln. How do you know her Emmett?" She didn't seem to care that every word that came out of her mouth stung me.

His expression was priceless in the most horrible way. Eyes wide, jaw dropped and disappointment dripping down his face. Dammit. And I don't even know if that rumor about me and Allen is true or not. It could be just a rumor Allen follows just to look good. I don't care.

By now people actually stopped to see what was going on again. Not really a fight, more a reality show type thing. Vomit was running up my throat, my. Hear was pacing and I felt like my lungs collapsed. I couldn't breath. I sounded like I was chocking. Grabbing my neck, I tried to do something, anything. I was scared as the world went black and I was gone.

Will Franco

Damn did Josie know how to throw a good punch. Chris landed in the nurses office with a blood trail left behind him. It reminded me of the time Avery got hit in the nose with a basketball by accident in sixth grade. Some dude was trying o get it into the hoop and missed by a long shot. Hit Avery square in the nose. Bad day.

"Will he be okay?" I asked the nurse.

I stayed with Chris while Avery went to class.

"Yes, it'll take a while to heal but he'll be fine." She croaked. Yeah, our nurse was like one hundred years old.

"Thank God." I smiled.

Chris got the shit knocked out of him. Like seriously that crap looked like it really hurt. When he began Jane started helping him up, without thinking i grabbed my kleenex and offered him on with a smile. I always knew that they would come in handy. He offered me a forced smile and brushed himself off. I saw Jane looking at me for a sec and than she averted her eyes. I don't think that now is a good time that I confront her about my party.
Will offers to stay with Chris and makes me go to class. In class I hear talk of the Chris-Lena-Josie-Jane situation and I just shake my head. It's their business so people should mind their own. I take my journal out and begin writing a poem about betrayal mainly to portray my feelings on how i would feel if in that situation. Before the bell rangs Allen rushes into class and plops down next to me. At first I offer a huge smile to him but then I tone it down a bit remembering that he is the guy that fucked another girl in my bed.

"Hey Allen. Whats up?" I ask shyly.

" Nothin much Ave. But I am quite curious about the huge thing you have planned for your birthday this weekend. And no i'm not a mind reader but last period Linnie was speaking quite loudly about how you guys have something great planned." He says smirking at me with that sexy knowing glint in his eyes.

" Its a surprise." I say with a small smile.

"Well whatever it is I bet it'll be awesome." He said.

"Oh it will be." I say with a knowing smile.

Lena

I had listened to Chris's song during lunch, but I had made up my mind and I wasn't going to fall for any of his songs anymore. The bell rang and I left without saying another word to Chris, Josie, Will or Josie.

I strolled through the school grounds and after a while, people strut in and started giving me stares and a lot of whispering was going on. Maybe probably about the Josie-stormed-off-while-I-was-with-Chris thing. I sighed and turned my heals to go back to classes.

Avery came up to me, with worried eyes. I smiled.

"Hey." I said, waving.

She runs into me and stops to take a breath, her hands on my shoulder. I frown and laugh. "Don't laugh." Ave said with a serious tone.

"Well... You sound serious." I said.

"Hear me out then. Josie punched Chris."

My heart stopped for a second. After all the talking I did to Josie this morning... I thought she got convinced but she didn't. Oh my god! What if something bad happened to Chris? I felt my face turning into a screwed up one.

"Why? What happened?" I ask, terrified.

"Actually, Josie was supposed to punch Jane, the guy Allen fucked up with. Ugh. Anyway, so Chris stopped her, Josie got angry and punched him instead." Avery spoke. "He's bleeding. You should meet him."

I shook my head. No way. I didn't want to maintain any relationship with him. Not even friendship. It could go wrong again and I didn't want to get between Josie and Chris. Avery bid farewelll as she was late for her class. I was still struck by the shock, and I saw Josie and her little friends walking on the other side of grounds. I squinted at her, and she gave me a grin.

x--x

School got over a little but I was glad it was over. I grabbed my backpack, and zoomed off with my car. Maybe I should just message Chris. A final few words to him, make things understand between us, and that nothing was there between us.

Tears trickled down my eyes, but I wiped them off my face. I reached home, and closed my bedroom door with a thud, and flopped on to the bed, thinking. I thought about Chris and sexy body, and all the fun moments we had.

I wish I had him... But I can't. Josie likes him and its far better for me to back-off...

I got up and switched to my pajamas. Setting the laptop on my bubbly bed, I logged on to Facebook and went to Chris's profile. I looked through his pictures and lots of memories made me think of him. I don't think I can ever show my love for him. I wiped the tears again from my face. Then, I started typing the message to him :-

Dear Chris,

This message is to to mainly apologize to you about getting in the way between you and Josie. You guys make a great couple and I shouldn't have interrupted. I'm sorry for whatever happened and I swear I'll make it up by hooking you two up.

I talked to Josie today morning and told her you liked her a lot. She didn't look convinced but I'll somehow try my best. I hope you have a great time with her and you guys never tear apart.

I just wanted to make sure now that there was absolutely nothing between us. I've broken all ties now. Please do not come after me again.

Thanks,
Lena.

And there, I ended it.

Allen

I walked into the class. I was so happy that Avery shared a class with me and I took a seat next to me and she gave me a huge smile. I smiled back. Maybe she's forgiven me?

"Hey Allen. What's up?" she asks, timidly.

"Nothin much Ave. But I am quite curious about the huge thing you have planned for your birthday this weekend. And no i'm not a mind reader but last period Linnie was speaking quite loudly about how you guys have something great planned." I said. Obviously Linnie had to work her vocal.

"Its a surprise." Avery said, flashing me a smile.

"Well, whatever it is, I bet it'll be awesome." I said and I mean't it.

"Oh, it will be." Avery said, grinning.

"At least tell me." I said, persuading her.

"No! Not now, Allen. Surprise is a surprise." she said, laughing.

"Aw, man. So not cool." I said.

My heart sank, and I felt tears come to my eyes. I blinked them back; even when I was depressed, I never let myself cry. My dad had taught me that men never cry. Taking a deep breath, I started to type.

"Lena, I hope you know that I still care about you. I should've been honest from the beginning, but I understand how you feel. After Josie nearly broke my nose, I think she's a lost cause. And it sounds like you don't trust me or want to be with me, so I guess we can't be together either. You'll make somebody very happy.

There's so much I want to say, but I don't know how to say it. But we had fun together, and I'll miss it.

Chris

P.S.- If you need a friend, I'll never hesitate
"

I went down to the basement, where Will was reading a book.

"Hey, what's up? How's the nose?" he asked.

"My nose is feeling a little better. Pretty tender, but ya know." I shrugged.

"Oh man. What happened?" he asked, already knowing something was wrong.

"Lena messaged me, basically saying that she thinks she was in the way of me and Josie and she wants to hook us up. She also doesn't want anything to do with me," I sighed and put my head in my hands.

"Wow. That sucks. What'd you say back?"

"I told her that after Josie punched me, I don't think she'll be so eager. And I said that I still care for her, even if we can't be together. I told her I'd miss her too, and if she needed somebody, I'd be there."

He shook his head. "I feel bad for you man. Two girls; I have trouble when I only like one."

"Yeah. It makes me so mad! Like I wish they'd forgive me, but it makes sense why they haven't."

"I'll have Avery talk to Lena a bit. Even if you only stay friends, it's better than nothing," he shrugged, pulling out his phone to text Avery.

"Thanks dude," I said, feeling a little better now.

I don't know man. She seemed mad as hell at school...

Come on Ave! Its Chris one of our best friends! Remember?

I'm not saying that he isn't its just...Len thought that there was something strong between them. And then as soon as another girl comes along he goes running for the hills. Its pretty upsetting

smh...I know how you feel. What he did was pretty screwed up. But that doesn't mean that we can abandon him in his time of need

Otay Otay I give up i'll talk to him. But just remind him that im still pretty damn dissapointed

I finish texting Will and decide that its time to begin buying everything for this weekend. I call Linnie and tell her that its on and she says that she on her way. Before I leave I text Lena: Dont be dumb. We both know he loves you but you have to remember that hes a boy. And that all boys are stupid (well all boys except for my Willy Boo). Talk to him Len, and let him set things straight. Don't do it for me or for him but for yourself. Love you oh and come over later i wanna have a sleepover at my place to tell you guys something! <3

When I saw Chris come down those stairs, I already knew he wan't said about his broken nose. I closed my book and put it on the coffee table.

His nose doesn't look too bad. It's just started to heal.

What he told me about Lena. Jesus. I cannot believe it. She wanted nothing to do with him!

"Wow. That sucks. What'd you say back?" I asked.

"I told her that after Josie punched me, I don't think she'll be so eager. And I said that I still care for her, even if we can't be together. I told he I'd miss her too, and if she needed somebody, I'd be there." He looked at the floor, almost like a lost puppy.

I shook my heard. "I feel bad for you man. Two girls; I have trouble when I only like one." I laughed.

"Yeah. It makes me so mad! Like I wish they'd forgive me, but it makes sense why they haven't."

It's been a day since they found out about each other. It will take them a while to adjust, but they might not even give him a chance. That's the whole problem.

"I'll have Avery talk to Lena a bit. Even if you only stay friends, it's better than nothing." I shrugged and pulled out my phone.

I scrolled down my contacts list to find Avery's name.

"Thanks dude," he said, his face a bit relieved.

"No problem man," I smiled.

With a weak one in return, he walked up the stairs and shut the door behind him. I started to type to Ave.

Hey Ave. Did you talk to Lena yet?

---------------

It was the next morning, the sun blasted through my windows. I vaguely remembered where I was until it hit me. Chris's place. Mom kicked me out. All that bull.

My phone was ringing on the bedside table and I answered it.

"William! Where the hell are you?! You don't just wander off to someone's house in the middle of the night!" it was, of course, my mother.

"Mother, you kicked me out of the house." I said clearly.

"No I did no such thing." she hissed.

God dammit.

"Yes, yes you did do such a thing. I am on my own now. You kicked me out two days ago."

"Oh yes. You son of a bitch..." I had to cut her off here. "You just said 'you son of a bitch' does that mean you're considering yourself a bitch?"

I could see the fire exploding from her ears.

"Shut up you fucktard! Do not swear to your mother asshole! I should never see you here! Ever!" she yelled, hanging up.

First period. Homeroom.

"Class, there will be an assembly tomorrow on Teen Safety during fifth period." My homeroom teacher, Ms. Hayley said.

I was, as always, ignoring anything she said. All I wanted to do was go to my bed, shut my eyes and fall asleep. My phone vibrated and I pulled it out. Thankfully, I sat all the way in the back of the classroom so she wouldn't see me.

It was Drake. Today we r gonna get drunk. Its a Friday! My place I'll pick you up at around 6. Give me ur new address Jumper.

At home, once I'd had time to cool off a little, I texted Chris.

Chris-- I wrote. I probably overreacted at school today. Hope I didn't do too much damage. I wouldn't say I'm totally sorry...but I do think I owe you an explanation. ...And thanks for moving that Jane girl out of the way. I wasn't really mad at her, she was just in the way.

I was mad at you because you lied to me (rather obviously, I might add) and then ditched Lena right in front of me. She's my friend, too, and she clearly likes you a lot. And if you like her, too, great, 'cause it'll probably take me a while to get over this. This is just my opinion, but I think you'd go great with her...I wouldn't try to explain it with a song, though. I don't think she was digging the song so much.

After I finished typing, I spent about five minutes debating with myself whether to copy it to Lena and Chris's other friends. Eventually, I decided against it, and just sent it to Chris. I did owe him at least that, after all.

I wake up and check my watch, school doesn't start for twenty more minutes. I get up and shove my jacket into my bag. I hide my stuff in a clump of weeds in the garden and pull out my toothbrush and toothpaste and shove them into my pocket. I grab a change of clothes and walk into the building. I enter the nearest bathroom and get ready for the day. When I come out a few people are walking in the building already. I sneak out and put my stuff back in the garden. I go back inside and head to class. No one even notices that I came from the garden. At lunch today, I'm going to find Luna, I need to talk to her.

It was hard for me to click that "send" button, but I did it. I finally did it, and somehow I felt relieved. Really. I feel Josie and Chris can finally go together, and I can just find someone else. I lied on my bed thinking about Josie and Chris the whole night. When finally, my phone vibrated my thoughts... It was Ave, and she was still going on about the Chris thing. No, really. I'm not interested.

Ave: Dont be dumb. <3

I texted back, the minute I got it and send her a fast reply.

Lena: Thanks, but seriously, no man. I just send him a message saying we were done. After I did, I felt relieved but it still hurts. But you know what? I don't mind either. It's totally up to Chris, actually. I still love him (Don't tell him that, or you're fried meat. :3), but I got to sacrifice.

Sleepover? I'm coming. NOW!

I jumped off the bed. It was 9 in the night, and I guess it was a little late but whatever. I grabbed a bag and dumped in whatever I could. Cute pajamas, makeover, beauty stuff, face wash and all those girly little things. I put on a off-white skirt with a simple plain top, letting my hair down. I ran downstairs, and started the engine.

I zoomed off but to my nasty bad luck, there was a huge traffic. And who did I see there? Chris. Out of all the people. In the traffic, sitting in his car. I tried my best to not make eye contact with him. I just got a text then :-

Chris: I can see u, u know.

I rolled my eyes.

Lena: Please, stop talking to me.

Chris: No. That's impossible for me.

Lena: Impossible itself says "I-M-POSSIBLE".

I slammed the cover shut as the traffic had started moving now. I reached Ave's house in 10 minutes, all ready and I rang the bell.

"What the hell did I tell you about ringing the bell!" I scream from the living room. Lena hears me and comes in shaking her head.

"Such a loud voice from such a small body! Pure amazement i tell you." She says dropping her stuff next to the couch. Linnie laughs and throws a piece of popcorn at her. Lena plops down next to me and says a long drawn out "Sooooooooo?"

"I'm planning a masquerade party and I need your help." Ave said, and my eyes widened and Linnie laughed at my expression.

"A masquerade party? What for?" I ask, curiously.

"You know... For fun! And its a challenge! To find your guy right there. Of course I have my Willy Boo, but still. For you guys!" Ave said, squeaking with excitement.

"Will you be able to recognize Will?" I question.

"Obviously, Lena. I'm not going to hook up with someone else. I know him by heart." Ave said.

Linnie and me shared a look and stared back at Ave.

"Anyway, it'll be a better chance for you to find out who Chris really is." Linnie said, winking at me.

I frowned. "Guys, I already know what kind of guy he is..." I groan. "So, who all are you calling?"

At least they weren't as mad at me as before, but with both of them trying to hook me up with the other, I was thoroughly confused. I got in my car, deciding a nice drive would clear my head. I needed to calm down. I stopped at a red light, and who did I see next to me but Lena. I immediately texted her asking to see her.

Please stop talking to me, she replied.

No. That's impossible for me., I insisted.

[i]Impossible itself says "I-M-POSSIBLE"[\i].

I was about respond when I realized I was only making things worse. I had to give them both space. I sped down the road to the gym, eliciting several honks and middle fingers from the other cars as I drove like a maniac. I parked and ran into the gym, flashing my card to the receptionist before finding a machine.

Normally I'm not one for running, but I ran so hard I thought my heart was going to explode. I pulled out my iPod, turned up the music and just ran. I didn't want to stop, because when I did, I'd be thinking, so I just ran until I couldn't run anymore. I leaned against the wall, trying to catch my breath. Somebody came over to me and tapped me on the shoulder.

"Closing time kid," he huffed.

"Oh, sorry," I gasped.

I looked around and realized that no one else was in there. I must've been running for nearly two hours, because the gym closed at eleven. On my way to the parking lot, I saw someone trying to break into a car.

"Hey, stop that!" I shouted, running over. "I'll call the cops!"

"I wouldn't," a man chuckled. He pulled out a gun and held aimed it at me.

"Hey, take it easy," I gulped.

"Storybooks and roleplays are just for fun!" To which I say: of course! But why only "just"? Sometimes fun is found in the full-send. Sometimes fun is found in taking it seriously, and aiming to do it with excellence!
