Once Upon A Time - STARTED!

Welcome to Storybrooke, Maine, a place where things are not at all what they seem. Mayor Regina Thorne would have you believe it is just an ordinary oceanside town with even more ordinary residents. However, the residents of Storybrooke are anything but ordinary. The truth is this small town is hiding a very large secret.

Everyone in Storybrooke is a fairytale character under a curse.

Sucked from their perfect little worlds and robbed from their ‘happily ever after’, the residents of Storybrooke must now try to live their lives whilst slowly beginning to uncover the truth behind their mysterious past lives.

Alliances will be made and broken. The age old battle of Good vs Evil is ready to begin once again.

This is a ‘Once Upon a Time’ spin-off meaning this SB isn’t going to be exactly the same as the show. There is no Henry or Emma Swan. It’s up to the other characters to find out about the curse.

Fairy tale Name: Rapunzel

Storybrooke Name and Nickname: Rachel Finley

Age: (13-16) 16

Gender: female

Appearance: Tall, slender, toned, tanned. And blonde. The kind of girl other girls hate on sight (but hey, it's in her genes!) Over the summer, she decided to dip-dye her hair all the colours of the rainbow much to her mother's chargrin. When not in her cheerleading uniform, Fin wears mainly designer clothes, bright colours, and heels just so she can tower that little bit extra.

Personality: At first glance, Fin is your regular mean girl. Queen bee, power hungry, gorgeous and in full knowledge of that fact, she tends to strut about like she owns the place.

However, a far more vulnerable side to her is revealed at home. She lives completely under her mother's thumb (she has no idea who her father is), and her mother wants her to be all these things: beautiful, smart, popular. Her mother was plain in school herself, never had a chance to be queen. She lives vicariously through Fin. And honestly, Fin hates it. She hates feeling like everyone has eyes on her but that nobody actually sees her. She feels, in essence, trapped within her own body.

Fin loves the fact she's pretty, especially her long blonde hair. She sees her beauty as a gift. However Miss Storybrooke is a competition she is at odds with, while she loves to be admired, she hates being seen as simply a pretty face. She certainly is, but she wants to be persuaded that she's more than that. She dip-dyed her hair after the competition. Her mother raged but she didn't change it. It was a rare act of rebellion that worsened their relationship to the extreme at which it currently stands: Fin now has no control whatsoever in her life.

Beneath her shell, Fin takes every harsh remark to heart and attempts to act otherwise. She is cruel only when it means retaining her social status, and she hates herself for doing it. She loves animals and painting but hides the interests under more superficial ones, although they occasionally come out in class- particularly in Art where her teacher believes her to have a great talent.

Truthfully, though, Fin isn't really sure who she is. That's what she wants to find out.

Where your character is at the moment: Living at home under her mother's strict rules about food, exercise, socialising, school, dating (ie. none, since her mother feels men are what ruined her own youth) and a rather late but strictly enfored curfew and basically everything else. She lives in a room with a rose trellis outside her window. Once or twice when she's locked herself in her room her mother has climbed up the trellis to get in. She's never dared to climb down it to get out.

Where your character wants to be: Anywhere but where she is now, free to experiment, free to live life how she wants to.

Up for love? Yes. Actually it's quite intrinsic to her story as it is. Someone's going to need to climb that trellis.

Other: In the fairytale world, her mother would be Mother Gothel, here she's Thelma Godwin, I guess. And in the fairytale world, I imagine Rapunzel's hair has been cut off after the prince visiting her. Fin still has hers, but essentially her contact with the outside world has been cut off for the act of rebellion in dyeing her hair. So she hasn't even met the prince and hasn't therefore had the chance to be rescued.

Has wavy, chessnut brown hair that goes down to her middle back, deep brown eyes, mildy tan skin (A little lighter than the first picture). Has a few freckles over her nose, long eyelashes and dimples when she smiles. Usually wears skinny jeans with a pretty blouse, usually yellow and frilly. Keeps her hair either in a braid or down. She rarely uses makeup, not liking it, but sometimes does if needed. Wears pretty little converse that are yellow for shoes. Either converse or boots that are brown.

Personality: Belle is very smart, kind, big spirited, and sweet. She doesn't like violence at all, wanting to keep everyone true to eachother as long as time goes on. She's smart, reads lots of books, likes reading more than anything in the world. She's kind, helps the childeren/people in need when she has free time and/or feeding the birds at the park. She's also big spirited,thinking everything has a chance and there's always a way to get out of a situation. And last of all, she's sweet, liking to stay calm, enjoys relaxation, and is very forgiving when it comes to mistakes.

Her voice is calm, she rarely ever yells, wanting no one to yell, actually. She enjoys reading, helping kids/people in need, and feeding the birds at the park. She doesn't like people who yell, use bad language, or leave people left out. She isn't very string physically, but mentally, she's strong hearted. She can't stand to see a animal or kid getting hurt, and would rather it be herself. But is you need someone for advice, she's the person to go to.

Where your character is at the moment: Right now, she is working at Storybrooke Library because of her love of reading. Though, she does go to high school and goes to work afterwards. Her mother died at an early age, and only lives with her father now.

Where your character wants to be: Belle wants to travel the world and find new things, descover more books. She wats to find true love and start a family.

Storybrooke Name: Rose "Lil Red" Lucas

Fairy tale Name: Fa Mulan
Storybrooke Name and Nickname: Jasmine Ashleigh "Leigh" Spring

(Fa means beginning, therefore Spring and Mulan is a type of Magnolia native to Japan, therefore flower name and Ashleigh as a hat tip for her husband Li whose name she later takes to become Li Mulan )

Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance: Mulan is tall and slim with a boyish figure and long, black hair. Her eyes are an amber brown and she dresses very feminine when in her family's presense, in clothes of the latest fashion, often with carefully applied make-up and perfectly manicured nails.

As soon as she can escape though, she loves to go out onto the streets in very plain, baggy clothing that hides who she is (for example, gloves to cover her soft, dainty hands and big, combat boots so she can go anywhere). Sometimes she will be dressed as a boy, other times just nondescript. There she uses the name 'Leigh' and loves to climb up walls or play at sword fighting with her hair tied up in a braid and a cap pulled over her head.

Personality:
Strengths: Determination, bravery, honour, kindness. Jasmine has a strong spirit that refuses to give up and she's a persuasive and caring person. She's also very independent and resourceful.
Weakness: Trusting, stubborn, clumsy. Jasmine has never been very good at performing her duties as a socialite's daughter and fails to be graceful in tiny shoes or pretty dresses. She is outspoken and willfull and not interesting in all the nice boys her parents try to introduce her to.

Where your character is at the moment: Living with her family in one of the nicest houses in Storybrooke. Her father is an ex soldier and a very respected man around town while her mother is the town socialite, working as the manager of her own independent clothing store. Jasmine works with her mum in the store, giving fashion advice to other girls her age but she hates it.

Where your character wants to be: She wants adventure and fun but she also wants to do her family proud so Jasmine is afraid to leave Storybrooke and does her best to follow her parent's wishes.

Fairy tale Name: Cinderella

Storybrooke Name and Nickname: Cindy Rell(Does she need a last name?)

Age: (13-16) 15

Gender: female

Appearance: She has blonde, curly hair. Since doing laundry is messy, she keeps it up in a bun. She has pale-ish skin, and doesn’t tan. She loves the color blue, and wears mostly that color.

Personality: She’s very witty, and smart. When Regina ordered that she was to work at the laundry place, washing all the clothes of all Storybrooke, she was disappointed, but she didn’t let it show. She workes every day most of the hours on clothes. She is very fast, and gets things done. She does what’s right, and tries to not be mean. She loves anything that helps others, and wouldn’t do anything that hurt a friend.

Where your character is at the moment: Cindy lives in a small yet cute house. She lives alone, and does all the work around it. She keeps a small flower garden outside.

Where your character wants to be: She wants to be—free. She doesn’t want to be a worker at the laundry place, and hates being overuled. Since she has a strong sense of persistence, she never lets her hopes down that she will one day find a perfect husband, who will provide money, and she won’t have to work.

Here's Robin Hood!

Fairy tale Name: Robin Hood

Storybrooke Name and Nickname: Jay Archer (Or are we supposed to have it start with the same letter?)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jay is about five foot seven - not really short, but not very tall either. He's slim and athletically built, with short hair that's either light brown or really dark blond. His eyes are brown.

Personality: In general, Jay's a rebel, but not a heartless punk like you might think. He doesn't give anyone more or less respect no matter their age (he'd treat an adult the same as he'd treat a kid or friend), and he always acts on his own motives, which are usually to help those who need it, and screw everyone else. If those motives require him to steal, so be it. He's sort of afraid of fire. Strengths: He's bold and courageous, and he's very compassionate. He won't let anyone tell him what to do (which can also be bad) and doesn't care what others think. He has a good heart. He's very, very clever and quick on his feet (verbally and physically), and also good at sneaking and has near-perfect aim. Weaknesses: He gets himself into trouble a lot, as you can imagine, and people consider him a rebel and a punk. He's a little too bold often, and he tends to act before he thinks. Sometimes he does things just to show that no one can tell him what to do, even though what he's doing is stupid. He also has no regard for the law. As well as all this, he's got a small phobia of fire. Likes: Archery (in the fairy tale world, anyways), riding (also in the fairy tale world), biking (in Storybrooke), kids, helping people in need, especially children, getting away with things, sneaking around (just because he can), trying to fool people. Dislikes: greed, overly wealthy people, bossy people, not being able to help others, failure, fire.

Where your character is at the moment: Right now, Jay's in a gang. Not like a big-deal murderer type of gang, but they're all pretty much punks. Jay thought he'd fit fight in with them, but it's not what he thought it would be and he doesn't like any of it except for the excitement, which he can get without a gang. Legally he lives with his dad, but in reality he's on his own and he intends to stay that way. (He lives in a cheap apartment; his dad doesn't really care.) He gets half of his money gambling and the rest working as a paper boy, so he doesn't have much money and constantly has to resort to cleverness or plain thievery to pay his rent. He doesn't go to school much, because he doesn't see much of a point in it.

Where your character wants to be: Jay wants to get out of the gang; either he'll turn them all in without getting caught himself, or he'll earn his way out, or he'll just disappear. He wants to get some sort of charity going, so he doesn't have to worry about cops and such. He also wishes he had some more money of his own, although every time he gets substantial amounts of anything he ends up giving it to other people.

Up for love? I say yes, he says no, if you get my meaning. He doesn't really believe in love and he tends to make fun of it, but he might fall in love with the right girl.
