I surface and shield her...toplessness from the guy's view, wrapping my arms around her. I don't face him, not wanting to do anything that Rayah wouldn't like. And I don't feel like puking tonight...hitting him just might do that to me.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
She kisses me and he screams for her. I close my eyes and try to ignore it, holding her close and letting her do what she wanted. If he yells at her again, I'm gonna beat the sh*t out of him. Everyone she's ever known knows she can't stand that.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
He dives in and Rayah cowers behind me. I hold her close and turn to watch Charlie closely, holding myself back from saying or doing anything I'll regret.
"She asked what you wanted," I remind him, "If you can't say it in front of me, I don't think she wants to hear it."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I ignore Charlie and look at Rayah, not liking how she's revealed to him but not wanting to force her to hide again. I'm not her father..not her guard dog. She does what she wants.
"Can you get to your point, please?" I look back at him, "We were in the middle of something and we have to leave soon."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
"Dude, you broke up with her like a year ago," I remind him, "She's with someone now. Leave her be. And I didn't steal her from you. You jumped to conclusions and bolted off."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I look at her, sighing. I did and you know it, Ray. None of this would have happened to you if I... I don't finish, not wanting to think about that possibility at all.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I can tell he's thinking otherwise and I take a step back, letting go. "Maybe I was wrong," I whisper. "I shoudln't have thought this would work out." I tell myself, turning away. I glance on the beach, walking up and throwing my dress over my bathing suit.
"I'm going home," I tell him, and start walking.
