Nephalia, City of Nightmares

Clove

I nod, walking back into the park to start my other book I brought just in case.

Hm. Yeah. Coffee can wait.

I see a girl and flash a shy small smile before sitting against a tree in the shade this time, opening my book.

Cyan

As she heads back to the park, I decide to do some exploring of my own. I take off towards the inner city and look around for something to appeal to me or someone to take a liking to.

SANDY

I saw the girl in the couple I just saw, walk back , smile at me, and settle herself comfortably beneath a tree with a book. Seeing her read reminded me of what I most like to do in the world: draw. Out of my leather satchel, I bought out a sketchpad and a pencil, then turned to a drawing I hadn't yet finished, and started working on it.
The girl beneath the tree looked up curiously.

Clove

I catch sight of the girl drawing and I couldn't help but feel curious.

Sketching.

I bite my lip before standing and walking over to her. "You draw?" I ask with a friendly smile.

" You draw?"
I looked up from my drawing as she walked towards me.
I blinked, then said" Yea."
Then, " Wanna see?"
The girl's eyes brightened and she strode over to my side , then bent her head to look at my landscape drawing of Cresenta.

Clove

I see the drawing and my eyes widen. "Man," I smile. "That's amazing. You should do that for a living," I compliment. I check the time. "I'm Clove. Maybe we can hang out sometime. You could teach me how to do that, but I gotta go find someone," I sigh before walking off. I catch sight of Cyan and run up to him. "Can we get coffee now? I can't really do it any other time," I tell him.

Cyan

Clove catches up to me and asks for us to go for coffee now. I smile and nod, leading the way.

"So, you aren't from around here, I'm guessing," I say.

Clove

I nod. "Nope," I sigh. "Not even close. I'm guessing you arent either because of your accent," I flash a smile.

Cyan

I flash a smile and shake my head, "No, just visiting."

Clove

I nod, "That's what I thought," I say as we approach the coffee shop.

SANDY

Clove left and as she did, I cocked one eyebrow up in astonishment.
Could she have been one of us? They had that aura, you see, brighter than any human.The guy she met up with was the same.
She was! In Cresenta, the city I grew up in ,the humans were unaware of our existence. And" we" didn't interact at all with each other.
I was ecstatic to meet someone like myself.
So, I couldn't help but wait till Clove and the boy was out of sight, stuff my pad back in my satchel, fade out, and start following them.

Cyan

I open the coffee shop door and hold it for Clove, feeling like I'm being watched.

Clove

I walk in, the warmth making me crinkle my nose and somehow feel like someone's watching me. I dismiss the thought and wait for Cyan with a smile.

Oh, it's just a date...
But still, I always have been the mischievous type.
While the boy held the door open wide for Clove, I quietly slipped in and took a seat in a booth in the far corner.
The boy paused for a while, clearly suspicious of something ,then closed the door and walked over to Clove.

Cyan

Something passes behind Clove and I pause a moment, confused. Shrugging it off, I head in the shop and lead Clove to a table near a window.
