Tari Awanye~Felagund

The elven city consisted entirely of trees. Less accustomed eyes wouldn't be able to distinguish it from the forest. Some houses were carved into trees, and others were suspended high in their branches. The two elves escorting me had introduced themselves along the way are Meyna and Flamid. They brought me into a very large hollowed-out tree. In fact, it may have been the biggest one there.

The room inside took up the entire base of the tree. A staircase curved along the wall, leading up to higher floors. A stern-looking man, extremely tall even for an elf, sat on a chair. To be more precise, it was a throne. Green and gnarly, it was made up of living plants. Elven servants waited near the throne, and common elves filled up the rest of the room. Flamid shoved me through the corwd roughly. "Watch it," I growled. The elf on the throne sat up straighter, his eye almost glowing when he saw me.

"Lord Thadues," said Flamid, "A Planeswalker we found intruding on our land."

"Excellent," said Thadues. "We've been waiting for her." He stood up and announced to the crowd. "Has not the prophecy told of this one? The dark skinned woman from many worlds away? She is here!" The elves cheered. "Take her to her room." As Meyna and Flamid lead me away, I got a sinking feeling in my stomach. Whatever this prophecy was, by the tone of Thadues' voice I doubted it spelled anything good for me.

Tai ~ Between the Axys coast and Emerald Isles ~ Early morning

I refocussed my spyglass, frowning. It had never given me problems before. A wave rocked Hikaru and I stowed the glass in the hatch with an exasperated sigh. Then the sight met my eyes. The sea had certainly not been this rough just a few moments before. I swore as a breaker bore down on me and hauled the tiller sideways to meet it. I was too late, though, and the wave crashed into the boat. Water washed over me as I jerked the jib sheet free from its cleat. I viciously trimmed the sails and crawled under the boom as it swung round. Safe, I opened all the bailers and Hikaru shot forward under my frozen fingers. I headed off and hiked out as far as I could, squinting against the spray and sun. There was a landmass ahead of me. I headed up a bit more and eased the jib, keeping a sharp eye on the dark islands in front of me.

The sensation of blue mana was sharp in the air and salty water. I started to shiver uncontrollably in the sea spray, but did not allow any more slack in the jib sheet, to which I clung with a white-knuckled grip. With my unclenched hand, I unscrewed the hatch cover and pulled out my wind-flute. I wrapped an arm around a shroud and wriggled my feet further under the hiking strap for stability before releasing all hold on the dinghy. I started to play hesitantly, hardly able to hear myself above the sound of the sea, then picked up speed as I felt the wind responding to the melody. I noticed a tail fin in the wake of Hikaru and smiled as I played. And the journey passed swiftly for me.

I headed off and hiked out dangerously to gain a better vantage point. The islands, for I could see that they were islands now, were a few minutes away. I spurred the wind on with a trill and Hikaru surfed on a breaker. I grabbed the tiller at the last moment and evaded the swamping water. The bailers gurgled hungrily and I closed them quickly to avoid being flooded with more water. My fingers were blue and mostly immobile, but I tacked into the little bay and eased the sails for a smooth entry. I had no idea what awaited me here. There was a blanket, oar, flute, spyglass, some silver and my cloak stowed in the hatch.
Enough to live on, I hoped.

The island was saturated with blue mana and I noticed that there were waterways in place of streets. I docked with care and took down the sails, then stripped down to pants and shirt before pulling the blanket, flute, spyglass and silver out of the hatch. I threw the blanket around my shoulders and tied the other items about my waist. I pulled out the oar and rowed off in search of warmth and something to eat.

I have dropped out of the SB. You may take my place and create a new character, or claim the character I have created.

Jacob Albeit, Catacombs of the Emerald Isle

Excruciating frequencies held their siege on Jacob's head.
Swearing in equally horrid levels, he groggily opened his eyes, only to close them again when he found it was just as dark either way.
He asked the empty darkness- Am I dead, or half dead?

He felt black mana thick in the air. At least something here felt familiar.

Once his head was partially clear, he tried again to determine his surroundings.
He was waiting for his eyes to accustom to the dimness.
On any other occasion, Jacob could have merged with the shadows and felt the mass of his surroundings, but he was not conscious enough to try it.

Free me, Free me...! hissed the tyrant voice. ''No. Not now.''
He found himself protest, and heard it echo. That meant he was surrounded by walls.

Get me out. Get me out of here! You cannot ignore me forever!

If only he could concentrate for long enough to find out why.

YOU CANNOT IGNORE ME FOREVER ALBEIT!

''Shut...UP!''

Thankfully, the ghostly voice of Orlando subsided for the time being.
And his eyes had accustomed to the darkness.
He was in what looked like a stone cave maze of some sort. A catacomb!

There were odd characters inscribed in the rock surface, some hybrid of chicken scratch and the patterns of tree wrinkles.
Jacob had done his fair bit of studying, but this writing was like nothing he'd ever seen.
Still, he was fascinated by this strange alien language.

''Or am I alien to this place?''thought Jacob.

Raven---Skirting Random Axys Sea Coast, heading towards El Tearah---Late morning(?)

Spoiler
I haven't got a freakin' clue on the geography, people...

----------------------------------------------

As I wove my way up the coast line, skirting around and over rocks and steep cliff sides, I noticed that the presence of blue mana had became distorted with.... something. I couldn’t place it yet.

A fog had rolled in from the sea. In the far distance, I could see the gray fringes of another storm. It was one of those open sea storms, most likely having culminated over the Emerald Isles,--- but it wouldn't be moving in. All around me the thick gray blanket of mist clung to the rocks. The temperature had dropped, and I felt exposed in the cold, open air. I picked my way up a westward facing slope and entered the fringes of a thick forest.

Here, the carpet-like pine trees dropped in the thick atmosphere. It was very still, and silent. As I moved on, as silently as possible, I could feel around me the presence left behind by elves. There must have been a civilization nearby, I wasn’t concerned. What mattered is that the mana remnants weren’t too fresh, the elves hadn’t been past this way for a while. I shivered as a sense of loathing moved up my spine. Humans were bad enough--- I couldn’t stand elves.

Soon, I reached a small creek, running downhill. Blue mana flashed its presence on the edge of my senses again, and I moved on, following it northwards.

But as I found myself wandering around the outskirts of a thorn grove, I picked up that same disturbing presence from earlier. Still I couldn’t place the mana’s signature. What was this?

I darted into the trees, deciding to cling to the shadows for now. But as I moved on the unfamiliar presence grew stronger, and then I could smell the faint traces of something rank. I felt the mana--- it was confused and still unlegible. However, I now knew one thing for certain….

Something was following me. Something dark and twisted, for it carried with it the undeniable sense of murderous intent.

So anyways, no clue where my guy actually is right now. I'm working towards getting him to El Tearah. If someone else wants to head their character off towards this (entirely original/fictional) place, maybe we could meet our characters up. (I don't want to barge in on someone else's location/story thread.
