"Yes!" I exclaimed. "I think there are back-up generators, too. I'll assign crewmembers to go find them."
I ran back to the bridge, where Halley and the captain were still sorting things out. "Excuse me, sir," I said. "There are about two hundred passengers out there. Also, Alysha told me--"
"Alysha?" the captain repeated. "You met my daughter? Is she okay?"
"She got cut," I answered. "But she should be fine. There's someone who knows first aid out there. Anyway, Alysha said that there was a water pump somewhere. If we can seal off the engine room and pump the water out, we'll be able to restore power to the ship. There should also be a few back-up generators somewhere; we should find those and start rerouting power."
"Yes, good idea," the captain said. "I'll work on that. Mr. Marino, you go back outside and make sure Alysha's okay."
"Yes sir," I replied. I adjusted my cap, and walked back outside.
