The ships horn blew 3 times which signalled to let the people board the ship , when everyone was on the horn blew 6 times as it left the port , it sailed out into open water for the first time in its life , it sailed straight for a while then north east for a bit , everyone on board was doing their own thing , the ships crew busy making running repairs and sailing the ship , the resturants cooking food , shops stocking up their supplys and opening their doors , people going around the ship looking at things people swimming in pools , it was a good sunny day , everyone was enjoying the day.
Let the past live behind you not with you ,let the present live with you not behind you.
I ran outside as the ship steamed out of the harbor. There was nothing like taking a new ship out for the first time. I held my arms out and looked out to sea, feeling a grin spread across my face. What a feeling--to have nothing in front of you. Nothing but the open ocean--infinite possibilities.
It was windy up on the top deck, and a big gust almost blew my cap off. I tugged it back onto my head as I walked back toward the bridge. I strolled slowly back, surveying the ship as I went. New ships were always...shinier than older ships. I stopped in front of a window and looked at my reflection. It was vain, but I couldn't help admiring my crisp new uniform. I loved the way the navy looked with the gold trim. I adjusted my cap again, smiling at my reflection. Then I burst into laughter, realizing how silly I was.
After regaining my composure, I walked back onto the bridge, still unable to suppress my smile. The captain and the second officer were standing at the helm, and there were two other officers back by the navigator's table. I gave the captain a quick salute before taking my place by the window.
"Someone's happy," the captain commented, smiling kindly at me.
"There's nothing like a new ship, sir," I replied.
"No, there isn't," he agreed. "Which is why I want the bridge for a while. Take a break, Mr. Marino. I'll see you back here at six."
The ship was huge. I took one look at a map, and decided I would get lost if I didn't stay outside.
I strolled down to the starboard promenade deck. It was basically a wide strip of open floor, with the pool and spa on one side, and the railing on the other. I stopped and leaned against the railing, looking out at the ocean. Behind us, the harbor was fading into the distance, the waves growing choppier as we moved out into the open ocean.
"Whatcha looking at?"
I turned around. Behind me was a girl with flame red hair. She walked up and leaned on the railing next to me.
"Just the sea," I replied.
"Pretty, isn't it?" she remarked.
"Yes, quite," I agreed.
The girl looked at me funny, making me wonder if I had something on my face. "What's with the hat?" she asked.
"Oh, that," I chuckled. "Part of the uniform. I'm an officer."
Alysha I walked to the back of the ship and looked out at the ocean , I saw dolphins following the ship , they seemed so peaceful , my hair hung over the edge of the ship while I was looking down , I decided I would go the spa after this , a few minutes later I started walking up the walkway to the spa, while I was walking I noticed a door it seemed strange because it had been pried open I didn’t think much of it so I kept on walking , I reached the spa , and I saw two people were talking , an officer and a girl with flame red hair , I decided not to stay, I put my head down and kept of walking , it took me 10 minutes to get to the front of the ship were no one was allowed I leant over the edge of the ship and closed my eyes.

I walk along the deck of this massive ship, wondering where my friend Kat (or Katya) disappeared to. A slight smile curves my face as I think about it. Knowing Kat she probably forgot that we were going to meet for lunch and is below deck, right now, in some shop or another caught up in silk and Gucci. I shake my head and continue walking enjoying the view and loving the feel of being outside and sigh, I hate being indoors a lot. But right now I will probably have to find a place to get lunch myself, that is if I can find a food stall… I look around trying to locate one but can’t. This ship is too big. Now, I think, If Kat was here she would be able to find a shop straight away. I shake my head again and sit down of one of the many chair scattered orderly around this part of the ship and wait. Maybe I’ll get lucky. 10 minutes later (it might be five- I’m not so good with time.) I give up. I’m back to walking again but everywhere I go there are always people. I let out a frustrated sigh and walk towards a seemingly empty section of the deck and lean over the railing (not so much as I am about to fall over) and just for the first time since boarding just stand in silence and breathe in the fresh air.

As I’m unpacking my suitcase in my small cabin I look out the tiny circular window to see dolphins leaping out of the water and they remind me of my flat next to the seaside back at my home town. Then I decide to check everything out on the boat before too long so I quickly finish unpacking my suitcase and head towards the elevator. Once the doors close behind me I finally look around the elevator and, I’m shocked how many buttons there are. Where do I start? What floor to go to first? I close my eyes and press a random button then I open my eyes and look. Top floor comes up in metallic writing on the screen. How original I think, but then again, you got to start somewhere. Once I’m at the top floor I see a short young woman with uneven curled black hair staring into the distance and decide to walk over. I could make a friend while I’m on this ship.
I lean over the railing near her and wait for her reaction. Her eyes are so green they reminded me of grass but right now they look vaguely bored. She doesn’t look like she’s about to say anything so I speak first. "The ocean is beautiful today" I say with a smile. She looks up and, "Hi,” I say casually, “I’m Nigel Bryce but mostly people call me Boots.” She stares at me oddly for a moment before she replies “Hi… Boots, my name is Sunny, well actually it’s Anya, Anya Olivika, but everyone just calls me Sunny.” I grin, "I like that name, sunnybunnywunny.” Suddenly, without warning, she slaps me right across the face. "What was that for? “I ask indignantly. "I don’t like it when people call me names.” She says, staring at me and looking kind of pissed. "Ok, I’m sorry,” I say looking at my watch. “It’s about lunchtime you know?” I say to her, “Want to get something to eat?” "Okay" she said enthusiastically and that was the moment we would be good friends until the end. Well, kind of anyway.
As I’m standing against the railing wondering what to do next I hear electronic doors open behind me. Aren’t I great? The quietest place I can find is in front of an elevator. Someone leans over the railing next to me and I catch a glimpse of ash blonde hair and something orange. "The ocean is beautiful today" he says and I look up at a boy who doesn’t look so much older (late teens to early twenties- maybe.) than me but is way taller. He has ash blond hair that looks slightly overgrown, pale green eyes, a bright orange leather jacket. "Hi,” he says, “I’m Nigel Bryce but mostly people call me Boots.” “Hi… Boots,” I say eventually after deciding he doesn’t look the serial killer type, “My name is Sunny, well actually it’s Anya, Anya Olivika, but everyone just calls me Sunny.” His grin is wide, "I like that name, sunnybunnywunny.” He… I slap him, though not purposefully. (It’s more of a split second reaction.) "What was that for?! “He asks indignantly staring at me like I’ve grown another head. Damn, I hate it when people give me ridiculous nicknames! "I don’t like it when people call me names;” I state out loud and watch his reaction. His face still looks slightly stunned but has a touch of understanding to it. Then he smiles apologetically at me, "Ok, I’m sorry.” Then he looks at is watch. “It’s about lunchtime you know?” he asks and I try not to roll my eyes thinking about how It should have been lunch time half an hour ago. “Want to get something to eat?” He asks and I smile. "Okay" I say and we slowly walk of in search of a food shop. “Wait.” I ask as we walk, “do you even know where to get food?” “Nope,” he says and laughs, “but we’ll find one.” I laugh too, thinking of how he’s more likely to be able to find one in the crowd being taller and all. After we have walked halfway around the ship (or what it feels like.) Boots points out. “Over there!” he says, not quite shouting, but loudly enough so that people turn to stare. I shrug and stare at them back as we rush off towards the kiosk.

"Well, nice talking to you," I said to the redhead. She wasn't saying much, and I wanted to see the rest of the ship.
I strolled off toward the stern in search of food. I remembered the captain mentioning a good outdoor cafe on deck 14 aft, so I decided I would try to find it. As I walked, I watched the coastline disappear over the horizon. Now that we were away from land, the cruise could really start.
I continued to look at the sea as I walked--and then something ran into me, knocking me right over. I stayed on the ground for a few seconds, stunned, and got up after the world stopped spinning. In front of me were two passengers--a tall blond guy, and a shorter girl with thick black curls.
"Sorry!" the guy said sheepishly. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine," I replied. "That's not the first time that's happened."
I hear a sudden thud behind me and stop to turn and see what happened. Boots and some guy in a strange uniform lay sprawled on the ground a few metres back. I turn back to see if they are both okay. Quickly Boots jumps to his feet and turns, apologetically, to the other guy who is slowly pushing himself to his feet and wincing. “Sorry!” he Boots apologises sheepishly, sticking his hands in his pockets, “are you okay?” The guy Boots accidentally knocked over turns to us, or rather turns to Boots and says “I’m fine,” he pauses a second to stare at us, “That’s not the first time that’s happened.” Boots winces and nods and I just stand awkwardly not knowing what to say. That’s when we all start walking towards the café and I realise that we we’re probably all heading to there anyway. What are the odds? “So who are you both anyway?” the man in the uniform asks as we walk and Boots pauses to answer. “My name’s Nigel Bryce but people mostly just call me Boots,” he says and for a moment there is silence before I realise that they are both looking at me. “I’m…” I start to say before Boots cuts in “That’s Sunny.” I pause to stare at him before nodding.

"My name's Nigel Bryce," the blond guy said. "But most people call me Boots. That's Sunny." He pointed at the girl.
"Well, nice to meet you, Boots, Sunny," I replied, giving the two a quick salute. "Sorry about that; I should watch where I'm going." I nodded to them, and then continued toward the little cafe the captain had told me about. After a few paces, I noticed that Boots and Sunny were still walking behind me.
"Are you going to that cafe?" I asked. "The captain said the onion rings are supposed to be good."
"Um, yeah," Sunny replied. "Ah...aren't you supposed to be driving the ship, or something?"
I felt myself blush--I had forgotten how conspicuous my uniform would be down here. "I'm on break," I explained sheepishly. "My shift starts at six, actually."
I started to walk back down the passage way , through the door , around the corner , I thought to myself as I was walking where is the elevator , when I rounded the corner I found an elevator " how convenient" I said to myself , I pressed the button and waited for the elevator , I watched the arrow come down 102 floors , when it reached the floor I was on I hoped in , the doors started closing when I saw a man in uniform walking towards the elevator , I held the elevator door , when he got in I asked “ what floor are you going to?” , he replied” whichever floor the elevator goes to” I smiled at him and pressed the number 105 restricted area , he didn’t notice , I smiled and when it stopped at the top floor I got off he seemed to look like he was following me , I let my hair fall in front of my face , and I just kept walking, about 5 minutes later I ended up in the mall , I walked around for a little bit and found a bikini store , so I went in and bought a blue bikini , I went back to my room and put them on , I put black short shorts on as well , I grabbed a towel and went to the pools , when I got their I put my towel on a chair , and went and got in the pool , while I was in the pool the captain spoke over the speaker “ there seems to be a storm ahead , we will be experiencing rough seas” , so I got out of the pool and started walking towards the elevator , it started to thunder I decided to go to the café.
