The Random Vampire Story [2]

Caiden

"When they figure out you're gone, they'll just leave," he said. "They won't blow your house up."

"Why do they still want us?" Caiden asked.

"Because you excaped them and Colt killed them. They want revenge. They don't care if you're human or not."

Colt----

"How long until they will disappear?" COlt asked,

"Who knows. A week I would think at tops." He shrugged,

"Alright, we'll have to find a hotel room or something." Colt sighed,

"They'd find you there. You'll stay here."

"We couldn't be any more of a trouble then we already have." Colt objected.

Caiden

"We could stay with Slade," she opted.

"They'd find you there too. This is the only safe place around."

"Why?"

"I put a ward around it. They can't get in."

Like Colts old apartment, Caiden thought, they got in there too.

Colt---

"Can't you just put wards up around my house. As long as no one takes them down like what happened last time, we'd be safe there." He said,

"Not while their there I can't. I'd just trap them in."

"Oh, ya." COlt sighed, "There has to be a way. We don't want to intrude."

Caiden

"We could put the wards up around my old place," She suggested, "I remember we kept it incase we ever needed it."

Colt---

Colt looked at the guy who was slowly nodding. "Yes, but they might be watchign it too." He said slowly. "It's worth trying I guess."

"Alright, I'll help you if you need it." COlt smiled.

Caiden

I hoped this worked. I had no idea if it would or not.

"Waht are we going to do if it doesn't work?" she asked as they drove there.

"We leave I suppose," Colt said. "Lead them into a trap or something."

Colt---

Colt didn't want Caiden or Tristian in any part of the trap or bait for the wolves though. He didn't want them hurt at all.


**Grrr, I really couldn't think of anything. ***

Caiden

Slowly she fell asleep in the car, Tristian cradled in her arms and Colt next to her. She was terrified but she knew Colt would keep them all safe. No matter how it went. But that stroke a new fear in her, what if-no she wouldn't even think about him getting hurt. It wouldn't happen.

Colt---

Colt held Caiden close as they drove towards her old house. He let himself doze for a little while. When they finally got there the guy put the wards up and Colt carried Caiden into the house. He locked the doors behind them. The guy was going to stay for a little while to make sure that the wards worked and no one took them down. They would also plan on a way to get the werewolves away from the apartment so they could put wards around it too.

Caiden

When she woke, Tristian was gone, but Colt was in his place. She assumed that he just moved him to his crib. She lifted her head to check and smiled when she saw him curled up tight in a little ball around his teddy bear.

"Morning love," Colt said.

"Morning," she said.

Colt---

Colt held Caiden tight, "Tristian slept through the night." He smiled kissing the top fo her head.


*grr*(

Caiden

She smiled, "he's going to wake up soon then."

"Probably."

Colt---

"I'm just glad he finally slept the night though. It is sooner then most babies do." he said, He walked over to the crib to make sure Tristian was still breathing. He was so he went back and sat next to CAiden. "We have one special baby."

Caiden

She smiled and leaned into him, still exausted. Not quite used to having that much sleep.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, still tired."

He laughed lightly.
