Cara felt her cheeks heat up. "I don't hink so." She replied, she bit her tounge, why hadn't she just agreed then he wouldn't have to try and make her believe it. "So, I guess we need to get the fire stoked and then get some food for the others." She said jumpin gup.
My heart and mind exploded in joy. It was everything I could do to not pick her up and spin her around kissing her. He didn't have enough control to stop himself from kissing her again.
Cara was glad that Christian didn't let her go. It proved to make their task difficult, but they got the wood and then quickly started the fire back up. She watched the flames flicker and she leaned agasint Christian.
"What do you think the mages will do now. They know I"m here."
"I suppose they'll move faster," I said non-chalantly. "We'll just have to figure out where we are faster now."
She didn't seem to like the way I said that, "how can you be so calm?"
I used my wings to pull her close this time, "when you've grown up with wings, two mage brothers, and a vampire aunt and uncle, things tend to lose their scare."
