Autumn's Beginning, Autumn's Breeze [2]

Ramere-

I sighed deeply, keeping my eyes closed. "Do you have any idea where we are? Can you describe it?"

After a moment she said, "No, it's just woods on all sides. Why, is there somewhere we should be?"

I shook my head.


Caspan-

I pulled Kayla into a hug and sighed into her hair. "I'm glad you're okay. I thought I'd lose you back there. With all those mages..."

I reminded myself to ask Ramere about them after I had dealt with him. If he could talk after I was done, that was...

I chuckled softly and kissed Kayla's hair.

Cara--

Cara smiled, "Well, you could've just asked me to shut up."

"YOu wouldn't have." He replied, she shrugged,

"Probably not." SHe laughed.

Christian

"So I just skipped the verbal part and killed two birds with one stone."

She giggled. I wanted to kiss her again. I tilted her chin up and did just that.


Kayla

When me and Caspan sat down I leaned into him, almost falling asleep. "You know you can let go if you want to sleep," I said, worried he would deprive himself of sleep for me. I wasn't worth that.

"No," he said, "I almost lost you, you're not leaving my side."

"Ok." My heart skipped a beat, h-he really cared about me. For some reason that scared the crap out of me.

Cara-

Cara wrapped her arms around his neck holding him close as she returned his kiss. She smiled when they pulled apart and bit her lower lip.

"And what was that one for?" She asked smiling,,

Caspan-

I slowly allowed myself to fall asleep, my arms still wrapped loosely around Kayla's body. The night was warm, and a fire burned happily a few feet away, so there was no need to cover us with my wings. Kayla's breathing was deep and easy, so I allowed myself to relax and drift off into a fitful sleep.

I grinned, "because I could."

Her smile brodened, "oh."

Kayla

I had to go, he cared about me. I loved him too much to just let him throw away his feelings like that. I slipped away from him and through the woods. I tripped on a twig and screamed, creating an awful racket as I fell.

Cara--

Cara looked at him and grinned, she wrapped her arms back around his neck and pulled his face close to her own. She kissed his lips softly.

Behave Fire growled,

"I think Fire is getting tired of us kissing." SHe smiled.

Caspan-

I sprang up and cursed, dashing into the woods in the direction I had head Kayla's scream. I hoped the mages hadn't found us again...

I found her sitting up, looking sheepish, and rubbing her ankle. I knelt down.

"Kayla," I began, eying her suspiciously. "What are you doing?"

Arabella--

Yawning, I leaned against Ramere.

"What's our plan of action?" I murmured, grabbing his arm and gently moving it so he was holding him. I felt his body move with a chuckle as he moved the other arm of his own accord.

Christian

I laughed, "his problem, he could always turn around."

She laughed too and I waited until she had stopped before I kissed her, I didn't want to silence the sound of her laughter.


Kayla

"I-I-I w-was...I-I'm not gonn-n-na le-t-t-t y-y-you waste your t-t-time o-o-on m-m-me."
stupid stutter! I could tell there were tears of frustration forming in my eyes.

Ramere-

I smiled and chuckled lightly. "Sleep sounds incredibly good right now."


Caspan-

I frowned. "Kayla, I'm doing anything but wasting my time on you. Would you have me deny love? Hmmm?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kayla

I knew my face froze in astonishment with what he just said, "But I-I-I-I'm not worth it," I said.

He kissed my forehead, "you ARE, and before too long, I'll make you believe it."

I didn't know what to say.

Caspan-

I pulled Kayla to her feet. "Come on, lets get you back to the others. And if you don't promise not to run away, I'll get Ramere to cast a spell on you so you CAN'T run away, no matter how tired he is," I threatened, smiling.

Sorry, double post. My computer spazzed out on me last night.

Cara-

When they pulled apart Cara laid her head on Christian's chest and breathed in.

"What are we going to do now?" She asked,

"Sleep, then we'll see in the morning." Christian replied wrapping his arms around her. She snuggled closer and sighed,

"Sleep sounds good." She smiled,

Maybe even to leave. SHe thought
