Arrah Ark

Name: Arrah Ark
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: (A picture will be included at the bottom) Arrah has short-ish and wavy black hair along with almost white, pale blue eyes. Her skin is very snowy in comparison to her hair and has very delicate, slender features. Arrah is approximately 5’9” in height. She usually wears light coloured tank tops and dark, usually black, baggy pants.
Personality: Although Arrah is a tomboy, she isn’t that outlandish. She tends to like keeping to herself if in a situation where she hardly knows any one, but if she feels confident enough around people she will become part of the group mingling with everyone. Every now and then she can be easily intimidated and put down, but that’s not very often. Most of the time, Arrah is quite fun.
History: She was fairly normal for the earlier part of her life, although she wasn’t a normal girly girl (she is actually quite the tomboy). Until her family died that is; last year her mother and father were caught in a car accident and were unfortunately killed. Since then she’s been living with her brother until she turned sixteen where she applied for the Ameruld League with her brother.
Talent: She has incredible knife skills since her father was a butcher and also, she is very intelligent.
Up for love? Yes, but you'd have to get past her brother first.

• What are your thoughts on the Ameruld League Competition from what you have heard so far?
Sounds like fun, it reminds me of one of those adventure camps where you can go to the protected regions and do ‘stuff’.
• What do you think that the Competition will be like?
I’m not sure; I’ve never really done anything like this before. I think that it will be interesting, definitely, and fun. But I have a feeling it’s going to be difficult too.
• How are your teamwork skills? Would you be willing to work in a group?
Of course I’d be up for working in teams, the more we work together the better our chances of completing the challenges. My teamwork skills are fairly good, they’re not the greatest but I’m willing to work on them.
• What do you think your greatest skill (that could help you in the competition) is?
I learnt to hunt and forage when I was younger, and my knife skills aren’t too bad either. I think I’d be alright if there’s a survival challenge.
• What are your fears when it comes to the competition?
I fear losing my brother as well as my parents, I just have this feeling that I’m going to end up losing him too.
• What 10 items will you pack?
I’m going to bring my hunting knife and whet stone, along with heavy clothes for cold weather and some lighter ones for when it’s warm. I’ll probably bring too pairs of shoes too, one set for running etc. The other set for hiking and so forth.
• Do you think that you can win the ‘Ameruld League’ competition? Why?
I’ll give it a try, I’m not going to over confident. I don’t want to jinx anything. I feel that I am capable of winning but there will be others who will be capable too.

Amos Ark

Name: Amos Ark
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: (An image will be included at the bottom) Amos has the same build as his sister, being slightly taller and broader. His hair is a pale creamy blonde colour and his eyes are green compared to Arrah’s. His skin is also slightly darker in tone. He likes to wear long brown trench coats over the top of a tight white muscle shirts and black trousers.
Personality: Amos is very sweet and kind as well as a caring person, but he is also very protective of his sister Arrah. Although he is quite a soft touch, Amos is also had quite a hardened shell which is very tough to break through. He makes it seem as if he doesn’t like anyone but he’s a big softie really. He can be quite suspicious of things, people and places he doesen't really know.
History: His story is very similar to that of his sister, however, although he misses his parents he joined because one of his closest friends betrayed him and Amos just wanted to get away. And also, he didn’t want to let his baby sister go without him.
Talent: He has a very high endurance, and is one hell of a climber.
Up for love? No, he just got out of a troubling relationship back on Earth.

Sounds like an experiment to me, I mean who just hosts a competition for teens and practically hands out that much money to them?
• What do you think that the Competition will be like?
It’ll be difficult, that’s for sure.

I’m not a big team-working fan but if I have to then I will, I’d much rather just work with my sister.
• What do you think your greatest skill (that could help you in the competition) is?
I’m good at climbing and have a high endurance level.

None, I don’t want my sister here really. I’m just looking after her.

I’m bringing clothes for both sets of temperature just, as well as extra food and some good solid pairs of shoes.

I don’t know and I don’t really care.

Name: Max Barkat

Age: 17

Gender: male

Appearance: Upon first meeting him, one would not call him handsome. But he is attractive in an odd, charming way. He is tall and sturdy, with a cheerful, boyish face. He has very short brown curls. His eyes are so dark brown that they are nearly black, and they are usually filled with warmth. He has rather large ears.
Max always wears a red bandanna around his neck and a very old fashioned black jacket that looks like he stole it from his great great grandfather.

Personality: Usually cheerful and optimistic. He is not good at leadership but he is very peacable. It is hard to draw Max into a fight unless someone is in danger. Hey is rather protective of everyone he meets, and especially people he is close to. He also comes to hate people rather easily, especially if they act in ways that he disaproves of. This happens rather often. However, he will not make his loathing obvious because he also hates hating on people. He is always careful to be
chivalrous to girls, whether they appreciate it or not.

History: Max grew up in the suburbs of a very trendy city, which he hated but is so used to life there that he tends to follow some of them unconsciously. His much older brother, Eddie, was always someone Max could look up to, especially after he went to join the Military Police. Shortly after his brothers departure (when Max was about eight years old) his parents had another child, a girl this time. They named her Emily and things were nice for awhile. But then it became clear that Emily had serious mental and physical handicaps. Max's parents spent thousands of dollars on tests run by many different doctors but no one could pin a diagnosis on her. Amidst all this they had another child named Toby, who had the same illness even more severely than his sister. Care for both the handicapped children has become extremely expensive, and his parents have run into debt. Max, desperate to help his little siblings have a better quality of life, decided to join the competition without a second thought.

Talent: Max has a stunning singing voice, though that will probably be of absolutely no help. He is strong and in good shape, but also surprisingly quiet and can sneak around unnoticed. Good with a gun, if weapons are going to be there.

Other: Is up for love but must be friends with someone before he can even think of dating her.

Well, it sounds pretty challenging (says captain obvious.) I haven't actually researched it much; I was
planning to do that after I filled out this survey.

What do you think that the Competition will be like?

I don't know what's up there, purple rocks and dust I imagine... Dunno how they
can make a competition out of that but I'm sure they'll think of something neat.

Yeah I'd be willing to work in a group. I don't have a problem with taking orders fromothers, if that's what you're asking.

Hm... I'm honestly not sure. I am pretty strong I guess.

That everyone else is an insufferable idiot who just wants to argue and be unhelpful.

What 10 items will you pack?

-Well, clothes obviously. Two changes of clothes, especially an extra neon orange shirt... I like orange.
-Swiss army knife.
-A picture of my family, all six of us together.
-A sleeping bag
-Ten feet of rope, tightly wrapped up to minimal size.
-As much of mom's homemade deer jerky as I can fit in this dang suitcase.
-A small Bible.
-A water container and purifier.
-A pair of walkie-talkies (and an extra set of batteries)
-A sketchbook and pencils, just in case there is something interesting out there.

Do you think that you can win the Ameruld League competition? Why?

I think I can try my hardest. What I hope for is at least the most valuable contestant thing. $20,000 would be a huge help to my family.
I doubt I could actually win...

Name: Riley Gardner
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Riley is short for his age, and rather skinny. He has dusty blond hair that he rarely combs, blue-gray eyes, and a crooked smile. He wears old flannel shirts, jeans, and sneakers. Although he comes off looking like a slob, he doesn't try to be one; he just can't afford nice things. On bad days, he looks like he's been living in the woods for a week; on good days, he's cute in a disheveled way.
Personality: Riley has a serious side and a fun side. When he's in a good mood, he laughs a lot, makes jokes, and treats everyone like his best friend. His serious side, however, is almost a polar opposite. He's very determined and has an acute sense of self-preservation. He tends to care more about survival than morals, and will do whatever he deems necessary to save himself.
History: Riley grew up in a very poor town. His parents worked long hours, and his 18-year-old sister would have needed a full scholarship to go to college. Mr. and Mrs. Gardner were killed in a work accident, and Vanessa, Riley's older sister, had to drop out of college to support Riley and his younger sister. When Riley heard about the Ameruld League, he calculated that the prize money would be enough to support him and his younger sister, and to send Vanessa to college for a year.
Talent: Riley is very sneaky, and he's good with a knife.

If it gets Vanessa her degree, I couldn't care less what I have to do.
What do you think that the Competition will be like?
Honestly, I have no clue. Your brochure wasn't very specific.
How are your teamwork skills? Would you be willing to work in a group?
I'd say my teamwork skills are pretty good. Most of the time, in my town, extended families have to support each other, so I'm used to it. I'll work in a team, if it'll help me.
What do you think your greatest skill (that could help you in the competition) is?
I'm used to roughing it, so my greatest strength is probably my survival skills.
What are your fears when it comes to the competition?
Failing. I'll be fine if my effort isn't enough, but if I make a mistake... If I give it my all and someone else wins, then fine, I get beat. But I don't want to lose. You know what I mean? The way I see it, there's a difference between getting beat and losing.
What 10 items will you pack?
A switch blade, a water bottle, a rain coat, a box of matches, a lighter, some rope, an extra pair of shoes, my field guide to plants, an Ace bandage, and...an extra switch blade.
