Okay so this is my first storybook on this site so I’m hoping that it’s okay and people actually do join.
I have had this plot in my head for a while but I figured it might just be a bit complex to make into an outright story (also I had absolutely no idea how it would turn out) so instead I made it a storybook.

So… Welcome to the Ameruld League.

Enter if you dare.

Plot
(In the year 2030)
After Years of Research scientists have discovered a planet that is completely safe for human habitat.
It was around the same size as earth with similar features but with no living inhabitants there. (Or so the scientists believed.)
This planet was called Ameruld (after William James Ameruld- the scientist who first discovered It.) and kept secret from the public until the scientists knew for certain that it was safe.
After 10 years an aircraft (similar to a rocket) capable of transporting a crew of 54 people to Ameruld was finally built and with the Governments permission a crew was assembled and within the month of their departure had successfully landed in Ameruld.
Within six months the crew was back with no good news to share.
In fact all that they would say was that the planet was no good to anyone.
The scientists then found the crews journals from the days that they were in Ameruld and discovered that it had more secrets then they had ever realised, but they still needed to know more.
They then decide that housing must be built on the planet and assemble another crew (this time full of architects, builders, interior designers, electricians etc.) and send them to Ameruld with enough material to build several communities.
This time the people and material are dropped off once they reach the planet and the aircraft (the same one that the first crew travelled in) and then flies back to Earth.
In one year they return to pick up the crew only to find the several housing systems and the crew nowhere to be seen.
News begins to spread until nobody wants to go anywhere near the planet anymore.
The scientists are desperate so they devise a scheme for the final testing and with the governments permission their plan goes ahead.

Where you come in:

Something has gone wrong in your life recently, (Whether it is someone has died, lost their job etc. that is up to you
Your family is desperate for money but up until now has had no luck/success in getting it.
You would be willing to try anything to help- that’s when you hear about the ‘Ameruld League Competition.’
(Having never heard of the Ameruld planet experiments you thinks nothing of it.)

You read the information about the competition.
Basically it is a month long camp in the Lenigo Mountains (which is where the construction took place on Ameruld) where the contestants will face many challenges and ordeals before the ‘Final Competition’ where the final judging will be held.
(Basically scientists have set up challenges all over Ameruld, using ‘robots’- similar to the ones that explore the other planets. These challenges vary between normal activities like rock climbing to other actives like hiking over the terrain into areas of Ameruld that scientists have never been able to access before due to technical problems.)
Best of all are the prizes.
Everyone who takes place in the ‘Ameruld League’ will receive $1000 before the actual competition begins.
The player voted ‘Most Valuable’ by the Judges will receive $ 20 000 dollars to do with what they choose and the winner of the competition will receive a grand $500 000.
(That is…if you make it back alive.)
Being desperate (and in some cases- kind of excited) you fill in the application forms and send them in.
With the month you receive an acceptance letter, survey, and an information sheet containing basic information about the ‘Ameruld League.’
Once you fill in the survey you officially become a part of the first ever ‘Ameruld League.’ (Which will probably also be the last.)

Enter… If you dare.

What to Do: (This is fairly simple.)
Spoiler
• Fill in the ‘Ameruld League’ application form (which is basically just a character profile.)
• Once I give you the ‘Okay’ on your application form, fill in the survey.

Spoiler
• No Godmodding (because that sucks for everyone else.)

• Don’t kill off anyone else’s characters- without their permission, my permission and a good reason.

• No Sex scene’s (It’s not that kind of storybook.)

• No strong swearing

• Try and keep up to date with posts

• Tell me if you are going to drop out

• (Not really a rule) try and keep the genders even.

• You don’t know about the scientists plan or that the competition is being held on another planet- so try not to mention it.

Dear Contestant,

Congratulations on your entrance into the Ameruld League.

Here is some information we feel that you should know about the competition.

• All the competitions and challenges will be held in the Lenigo Mountains- Which you probably haven’t heard of as they have been under construction recently- The Mountains can be found in a place called Ameruld- another lace you wouldn’t have heard of, but don’t worry It is a very safe and secure place accepted by the government.
• You will be judged throughout every competition you face so try your best in every challenge.
• Aside from the host- who will help you out with activities and give you information on what is going to happen, the judges- who will watch you progress through the challenges and the camera-crew who will film the competitions so that judges may review them you will be alone.
The only consistent companions that you will have will be the other competitors.
• Forming teams and groups in the competition is not compulsory but it may help you out in the long run.

Good Luck.
You’re Host- Marina Ashford

My Profile

Spoiler
Name: Marina Ashford

Age: 27 years old

Gender: Female

Appearance: Marina is generally tall for her age with an athletic build a long black hair that is usually tied back. Her eyes are a blue/grey colour and her skin is pale. She dresses professionally as part of her job.

Personality: Marina can be very serious especially when it comes to her job. She will do anything to see that all competitions are carried out although she dislikes seeing people get hurt. She is very smart and kind of quiet most of the time but likes being in control of every situation and is a born leader.

Why they want to be a part of the competition: She was asked by her grandfather (William James Ameruld) to take the position of Host in the Competition as he was sick at the time.
All her life she has been interested in working on Ameruld so this was a bonus she was glad to take. (Secretly she knows a lot more about Ameruld then most other people- except for those who discovered and visited it before hand.)

Job title: Host for Ameruld League.

Other: Not up for love.

So having read all of that you now have a basic idea of what this storybook is like. (…and I am sorry if it was too long.)
If you don’t get it just think- a less dangerous version of the Hunger Games (you could relate to it as that, although this story isn’t going to be anything like the Hunger Games) cross an out of this world Science Fiction story cross a brilliant team challenge story.
Yes- It is going to be Epic.

Enter if you dare.

Good Luck Contestants.

Name: Aster Levian
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Appearance: Aster is tall and athletic. He has black hair that he combs back out of his face, bright amber eyes, and very pale skin. His nose is straight, and his face is stately and angular. He has toned muscles and long fingers. He doesn't smile often, and his stare is intimidating. He usually wears khaki pants and a button-up shirt, or a lab uniform.
Personality: Aster is thoughtful and reserved, and usually becomes secretive when asked personal questions. He's an incredibly smart and accomplished scientist, but is usually modest about his achievements. He is an eloquent speaker, and is good at explaining scientific concepts to non-scientists. He's generally a polite person, but he does have a darker side. His primary work is in physics, but he's very interested in the human mind, and will often find ways to slip psychological experiments into his work, using himself and others as test subjects. He enjoys the challenge of designing and performing difficult experiments, and is almost obsessive about his work, refusing to give up until he's gotten some sort of result.
Why they want to be a part of the competition: Aster's grandmother was part of the team that discovered Ameruld. That, along with his physics background, is why he became interested in the planet. He views the challenge as another opportunity to test his skills, and to get a little independent psychological work done.
Job title: Scientist
Other: Not up for love. He often speaks fondly of his sweetheart back on Earth.

Name: Indigo Kamironn (her friends and family call her Indie.)

Age: 16 years old

Gender: Female

Appearance: Indigo( indie) has shoulder- length curling auburn hair (that is usually worn up as it gets in her face too much when it’s down) pale green/blue eyes, a creamy pale complexion with a bunch of freckles scattered over her nose and petite yet athletic build. She is a little shorter than most girls her age. (But this doesn’t make her look younger as it does in some cases.) She wears whatever she finds comfortable but likes being unique.
(I will add a picture later.)

Personality: Indigo may seem reserved around people who don’t know her and is generally quiet when meeting people for the first time but she generally likes meeting new people and people who know her know that she is actually a very bubbly, smart, but slightly hyperactive person. She has a brilliant sense of humour and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Indigo tends to dream big and always stick to something once she has made up her mind. She also finds it hard to trust people she doesn’t know easily but when she does trust somebody she would trust them with her life.

History: Indigo is the youngest child of and grew up in the country-side with her older brother (23 years old) and sister (20 years old). Her father was the manager of a shop and her mother worked as a nurse at the hospital; and while their family wasn’t rich they still had everything they could possibly need. Then the year after her sister graduated from high-school and moved out Indie’s father became ill and as he was unable to work every day lost his job. The family managed to get a loan and things were just starting to go back to normal, there house burnt down. (Luckily they weren’t in it at the time.) The local Council then moved them into public housing but the people who Indigo’s parents had gotten the loan off began demanding repayment (with money they didn’t have.) They were desperate so when Indie heard about the Ameruld League Competition she entered wishfully but fully expecting not to get in. She is thrilled when she hears that she actually is.

Talent: Indigo has a good sense of direction, can recognise all different types of plants, has a brilliant sense of aim, is very determined-she rarely gives up-and due to mixed first aide classes she has been taking since she was 14 knows all about injuries and how to fix them.

Other: Up for Love.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Survey
• What are your thoughts on the Ameruld League Competition from what you have heard so far?

I think that the Ameruld League Competition is a good opportunity for teenagers (It’s only teenagers joining isn’t it?) From what I’ve heard so far the Competition sounds very mysterious and kind of difficult, but it also kind of fun.

• What do you think that the Competition will be like?

I think the competition will be tough- (it’s already been kind of hard with the ‘only bring ten things’ rule) but it also sounds like a good experience and something that I will probably always remember.

• How are your teamwork skills? Would you be willing to work in a group?

I have about- average team work skills and would be willing to work in a group.

• What do you think your greatest skill (that could help you in the competition) is?

I think that my navigational skills will probably help me most in the competition. Maybe knowing all sorts of plants will also help in the case of finding food.

• What are your fears when it comes to the competition?

It’s a month long camp when we are going to be virtually alone with only other contestant. My fears when it comes to the completion are probably that all of the contestants will hate me and I will spend the entire month alone. (I really hate being alone) Also I’m not so good when it comes to confined spaces (so I really hope that we don’t have to do a lot of competitions in confined area’s), Mostly I can handle it.

• What 10 items will you pack?
I will pack: • A small flashlight
• A packet of matches
• 3 spare changes of clothes (folded to minimum size)
• A 2 litre water bottle (full of water)• A pocket knife
• A small handheld medical aid kit (in case of emergencies.)• A water purifier
• A compass (in case of emergencies)
• A small container of extra food (bread, muesli bars, etc.)• A small notebook and several pens- (also glue into the book are photos of my family.)

• Do you think that you can win the ‘Ameruld League’ competition? Why?

I think that I have as much of a chance as anyone else does to win the competition. I’ll try my best at everything and I won’t give up no matter what.

Spoiler
I hope this is okay. Just tell me If it's not and I can change it.

Just made a DT for this storybook.
It doesn't really say much right now but as this storybook progresses you may wan't to check it occasionally.
This is where you will ask questions about th storybook and discuss who's going to write first (and other basic stuff like that).

Anyway here's a link to the DT.
