Rosarie
The skimming arrow to Athena was strangely satisfying.
In the room, there was Emmy, Gem, Rayah, Jason and I, all standing mockingly around the two goddesses, once so regal and powerful, but now bruised and battered. Where was Ivan and Andrew? I shook my head mentally, refocusing myself to the matters at hand. Emmy had fired a shot and seemed ready to fire another one.
"Now are you gonna tell me what I want to know? sixty seconds before Emmy puts a bullet in your shoulder." Gem spoke up.
Though Aphrodite was still being spiteful and shooting us daggers, Athena simply sat, as a teacher who was waiting for the children to quiet down would be. I could tell that infuriated Emmy all the more. Rayah was literally trembling with hatred and Gem shot the goddesses a look of disdain. I couldn't read Jason's expression, but it was still nice to have someone familiar close by.
"Why my shoulder?" Athena rasped, discreetly wincing from pain, "Why not aim a bullet straight at my heart?"
Emmy stiffened up.
"Oh right...because you can't kill me."
"We won't kill you," Emmy answered calmly, finger steady around the trigger, "We'd just leave you on death's doorsteps."
