Drake-
"So basically what you're saying, Ivan, is you need us common folk to help you out?" I smirk. Ivan looks like he could shoot flame from his ears at any moment, and I tense in case he does. I couldn't take him in a fair fight; but since neither of us would probably play fair, I could probably get an advantage. Still, we're on the same team and I'm not going to be the first to throw a punch; especially with Ice standing next to me.

Ivan Kirill

Ivan sighed and growled inwardly to himself. Drake was a whole lot of trouble he really didn't feel like dealing with. He wasn't even sure why he was here. Cass was smart, Mouse was sneaky, and Drake was... what? He was brave, but maybe the other boy had some skills he was keeping hidden. Ivan's one weaknesses was his curiosity, he hated not knowing everything about everyone. Drake was a puzzle, he'd have to solve that. Letting him go right now would drive him insane.

"You catch on quick. If we all make it to the last round then we'll all know each others strengths and weaknesses, which will make the fight more entertaining. If we let the enemy into the last round then we'll be fighting someone unknown. Would you rather fight me knowing what my strong and low points are and have a chance to prepare, or fight me not knowing what tricks are up my sleeve.

Your choice, Drake. It doesn't matter to me. I can work alone and be perfectly fine, but working alone is a lot of hard work I don't feel like performing."

Drake
I hold up my hands. Me and my stupid mouth; always blurting out the wrong things.
"I don't wanna get kicked off the team, I'm just pointing out the truth." I had to admit what Ivan said made sense, even if I couldn't care less about how interested the audience was in our battles. We had to stick together and observe each other; learn eachother's weaknesses. Because the last person I want to win this is Ivan.

Rutila "The Black Dagger" Nixion

My question goes unanswered, I ignore the crowd it was time to retrieve my dagger that I had lost before the first round. I knew who to start with first, Drake. I leave Jesse and Micah alone to talk, I walked over to the group that was formed and called out.

"Drake! Where is my dagger?!" He looked at me and saw me coming, he began to back up quickly.

Octavius-

A new guy walks in. I don't bother going over to him, as he is not Elite. "What scum!" I murmured under my breath. My ankle was feeling better now, as I was propping and icing it.

I decided to let Micah deal with the filthy new boy. He could recruit him. Just another pawn under my control, I smirked. The one problem was that Micah was loyal to his other alliance with the two girls. I would have to break it up.

Drake-
"Drake, where's my dagger?" Mask Girl, I think they said her name was Rutila, demands. I start backing up, laughing.
"Well I don't have it," I say, "I gave it to Ivan." Yeah, he was my teammate, but I wasn't going to let Rutila's wrath come down on me when I didn't even have the stupid blade. Rutila glares at me, trying to decide whether or not I'm telling the truth.

I give Drake my best "I'll-kill-you-if-you-don't-tell-me look.

""Well I don't have it, I gave it to Ivan." He said.

I look at Ivan and he slowly pulled it out of his pocket and handed it to me. I snatch it from his hand, I walked away with my dagger in hand and pushed Octavius out of my way he fell to the ground with little force. I swore my anger was building for some reason, I walked to the top of the stairs where everyone can see.

"Listen up! The hour of blood draws near, form your alliances and prepare for battle. In this round someone is bound for death, if you don't want to die youbest hope your partners have your back like they say they'll have." My anger WAS building even I could hear it though the voice changer.

Octavius-

Rutila knocked me over. I was off balance already because of my ankle. This made me furious.

I wasn't going to let this fake Elite push me around. I drew the sword at my waist and approached.

"Don't touch me. I don't care if your father is General Nixion, your're still a dirty lower classer." I sneered, "Apologize or I'll shred you!" I slashed the sword inches from her face but she didn't flinch.

his sword chipped off a piece of my mask but my anger kept me from flinching.

"Let's get something straight Octavius, I don't have a father anymore he died before my rise as a Gladiator Elite. Second, I don't need a blade to make someone apologize." I said.

My hand went forward and grabbed him by his shirt, I kicked his leg around mine and brought him to the floor, he was on his back now I saw something in his eyes that I hadn't seen since last year, Pure fear.

Octavius-

She knocked me on my back. "Come on, Rutila Nixion. I'm not stupid." I said, pushing myself up. I slashed at her arm, but she blocked it with her dagger. "I'm not scared of a wittle fake Elite." I taunted.

I knew she was mad. I was trying to provoke her anger. But I was mad myself, at this intolerant little pest. I would have to get rid of her eventually, but not in plain sight.

I faked falling then sharply cut her at the knee. It wasn't bad, but it would teach her who was boss. I walked off, to prop my foot again, acting as if nothing had happened.

Ice
, I wanted to
I saw how .some of the others treated the new guy. They sneered and looked down on him somehow it reminded me of my days with boss and his gang. The memory was so disturbing I firm't even noticed that I was walking up to him. And when I stood in front of him turn around, but he had seen me and I didn't want to look like a coward running away.
" h-h-hi ...name's ice." I stuttered. And tried to give him a convoy font welcoming smile before retreating quickly with my hand clasped on my mouth. My face flushed with embarassments. I guess I just couldn't stand someone else getting treated that way.

I punched him three times across the face, each connecting painfully, I got up and walked away with a small cut on my knee, Jesse and Micah looked at me in surprise.
I turned and as Octavius was getting back up I began to talk.

"You know, you truely are a worthless fool, making empty threats when you barely made a cut on my knee, I doubt you could kill anyone here big or small. When it comes time no one will save you." I said reaching the top stair.

Jesse

I almost wanted to cry from those words. I've been told that before. It was life-scarring. I swallowed hard and stepped up.

"Rutila, stop. It's done with." I said looking at her in plead. "Just-" I trailed off. "Just focus on something else." I said giving Octavius a look to go. I don't want anyone else to be told that. That's why I'm here.

Jesse sounded almost hurt by my words, even tho there not directed at her she sounded like the victomof what I said. She had a look of pain across her face, fairly easy to read, I took a deep breath and swallowed whatever insults I would have thrown at her.

"I'm sorry egotistical guys like him tick me off, badly. He barely knows what life I've had, what its like to loss a friend you cared for." I said folding my arms and taking another deep breath.

Jesse

I nodded, "Thanks...It just-" I stopped myself. Why should I tell her? She wouldn't even know what I'm feeling or what I've gone through, with my baby sister Rayah, and how we were pushed. I took a deep breath and shook my head. "N-Nevermind." I said feeling more pain, more sorrow, and regret. "Lets just get ready for the N-Next round." I said closing my eyes.
