Diablo Draco | Chicago

I tried to make a comeback, but I was too weak to keep flying or get back on my feet. I was forced to shift back full human in response to the impact I took. Most of my body were badly bruised, but not broken. I grunted as I felt pain. "Maldita sea, esto no es sólo mi día a recoger una guerra con una serpiente." I got on my belly, grunting in pain. I knew picking up a fight with a leviathan was suicidal, but dragons were risk-takers, so what would I expect? I had to take a risk. At least I had me some battle scars to remember by when this war is over.

Skylar

We crashed to the ground, I landed on my hands that now felt like I stuck some sharp rubble into them, they bled incredply as I got back up. Diablo was sprawled on the ground, I went over them as the beast roared shattered glass fell from above I covered Diablo with my own body and covered my head with my hands as shattered glass fell around me. After it stopped and somehow still miraclly alive, I shock Diablo trying to wake him up knowing he wasn't dead.

"You okay?" Jayden asks me. I shake my head and smile weakly. For the whole entire ride I'd had a bad feeling about this; a very bad feeling.
"Just nerves," I say, "I'll be fi-" I stop and turn pale as I see a huge creature rise out of the water. Jayden pulls me behind a pile of rubble. The large sea creature doesn't notice us, choosing to attack Diablo and his new friend instead.

Holy moly, this exploded while I was off!

Laiel

Laiel surveyed briefly for any other survivors as Diablo and the girl continued their Spanish discussion. Suddenly some instinct warned him, and he turned to look at the lake. He didn't much like the sight - it was too much like the ocean.

Then he saw it and froze. Something was rising from the waters - it was like a nightmare. A massive, horrible nightmare.

"Die, beasts!" a monstrous, tortured voice howled. "You will die!" Laiel shifted, instinctively going into a fighting position. "Argo Tidalripper swears upon the bones of my family!"

"Oh mother of God," Diablo murmured. He took off with the girl on his back, spewing dragonfire at the beast. Laiel tensed, but the beast ignored him. Instead he came for the city, screaming for the shifters to surrender.

I can surrender when I'm dead, Laiel decided, but his thoughts were interrupted when a building started to fall towards him. He dodged, snarling, and ran.

He looked up to see Argo - he assumed that was the ... the thing's name - swiping Diablo out of the air. Laiel skidded to a stop, turning to watch Diablo plummet.

"Take that, puny shifter!" Argo howled, showering the pair in rubble and glass. Laiel's eyes narrowed in determination, and he charged forward. No way was he going to let the overgrown worm do this.

"Hey!" Laiel screamed, shifting to human. "What's your problem with them, huh? You jealous they have legs, is that it?" He had to shout at the top of his lungs, but Argo seemed to hear; he turned his head ever so slightly.

Abruptly Laiel realized that he had absolutely no plan, but it was too late, and he refused to falter. He stood there as boldly as he could manage, glaring up at the monster.

Argo / Chicago

Argo glared down contemptuously at the Shifter that had shouted up at him.
"I'm peckish," he rasped. "You should be a fine snack."
Almost lazily - but at blinding speeed- Argo flicked his tail down, smashing a building down onto the Shifter.
Then, he drifted away inland, leaving a group of wounded and very puzzled shifters behind.

Okay... I should have expected that. Stupid me...

Laiel

"I'm feeling peckish." Laiel would have called it a whisper, except that it was so loud. "You should be a fine snack."

Laiel ran, but it was too late. He heard a horrid smash. He looked back over his shoulder and saw a building falling down. He shifted, but even a lion's speed couldn't outrace gravity.

He had just enough time to roar in despair, and then the rubble crashed down onto him.

And everything went black.

NO, he isn't dead, just knocked out by the rubble. Just so you don't go proclaiming him dead.

Diablo Draco | Chicago

I managed to get back on my feet, but was still in pain. I grunted as I got up. "Maldita serpiente de mar. I can't shift until I recover." I went to find a place to hide and recover my energy with Skylar on my heels. I was in so much pain, it was worse than getting clawed by a lion. I was several paces away from an untouched building when I fainted, my energy spent from walking while in pain.

Might I have a good/bad shifter part? With a romance on the opposite side? (ex: if I'm a good shifter, I fall in love with a bad shifter, and vice versa)
Thanks!

Hey, can I have a shifter? It can be good or bad... maybe romance on the opposite side? (For instance, if I were to be a good shifter, fall in love with a bad shifter, or vice versa?)
Thanks

Hunter

I tried to lean over a little bit more to get their whole conversation, but Blighton sensed it and got up abruptly, walking away from me with mistrust. I rolled my eyes and sunk back into my chair.

After the mysterious phone call, Adrian said, "We need to get to Chicago."

"Any idea's?" Blighton says.

"I say we just start that way and then plan it by ear," I said, looking at both of them boredly

Blighton pauses, but reluctantly agrees. "Okay, let's go."

we were all heading for the entrance (them walking, me sulking behind) when I stopped and said, "Wait."

I rushed back into their base and began nosing through their rooms. Annoyance flashed through Blighton's face and I could only smile back coyly.

"We can't go empty handed, now can we? Go and get whatever stuff you guys will need, I'm going to scout around and see what I can....borrow. Meet back here in 5, okay?"

Adrian nodded and I didn't wait for Blighton's okay for surely their won't be one so I slipped away before he had the chance to turn this down. Got to pack a few things for this sweet little vacation we will all be having together.

@ sarah, Cameron is kinda, sorta up for romance if your character would be up for it :)

Cameron

"This be him." This be him? Who is this guy?

"Yeah, uh...well, um, I was told that the guy this number belonged to could help with my...condition."

"....Your condition?"

I fidgeted nervously and wondered if I should just say it. What if he wasn't the guy though? He'll think I'm delusional or something.

"Yeah, my condition related to....animals," I responded cryptically, hoping that he would be the first one to break the ice.

Outside I could here faint rumbles. The ground shook slightly from time to time and I dared a look outside of the giant glass windows. The city was in ruins and the few remaining people at the airport were running around frantically, staring at me, the crazy guy who was making a phone call while the world seemed to be ending. I squinted at the horizon and - what the hell is that?

"Animals?" the voice came back on. "...Are you a shifter?"

I snapped my open jaw back up and immediately sighed in relief, "Yeah, yes I am! Oh god, I'm so glad I found you. I'm assuming you are a shifter too and-"

A nearby building got smashed into little confetti.

"Damn..." I said, "Hey, uh, I know this is sudden, but where are you? Can I meet up with you? Are you like...near Chicago?"

"Chicago?" The voice responded back, surprised, "I'm actually headed there right now. Look, if you are in Chicago, there should be other shifters there. Meet up with them and tell them you know Blighton, they'll understand then."

I nodded then felt stupid because he couldn't see it and was about to thank him when the phone cut off. I looked at the reciever and it said my time was up. Sighing, I got my bag again and walked out of the airport, into the open in hopes of finding other crazies who shifted into animals like me.

Here goes:

Name: Mercedes Colombia

Age: 17-18

Gender: Female

Animal: Black Wildcat

Appearance: As a human, she stands tall and thin, yet with apparent strength, both inner and outer. Her green eyes flash misteriously and, and at times lovingly towards her allies. The sleek black hair that ripples down to her waist every time she moves captivates many. In her animal form, she is a strong and sleek black wildcat who could easily crush a human with her massive jaws or between her front paws. As a Shifter, she is much larger and stronger than the normal wildcat.

Characteristics: Mercedes is quiet and reserved, with an inner strength so hard not even iron or steel could penetrate it. She can endure torture, due to her natural loyalty to anyone - or anything - she cares about. Athletic, she can jump from one side of a medium-sized river to the other without a drop of water touching her. She is misterious, and keeps to herself mostly, but Mercedes is one of the kindest around. If, in times of need, she is faced with saving herself or her friends, she will choose her friends.

Strengths: Athletically, she can endure most anything, in both her human and wildcat forms. Her inner strength allows her to take more risks emotionally than some. And finally, she is a damn good hunter. In her human form she can find edible plants and berries, and as a wildcat, well, she does what she does best: stalk and kill.

Weaknesses: She is a little too loyal. She will endanger herself in order to preserve the safety of her allies and friends. Also, she may make rash decisions based on the wildcat's quick decison-making mind.

History: Mercedes woke up in an abandoned alley-way, trapped in her Wildcat form. That is the first thing she can remember, and she has no idea how she got there. She had no recollection of anything beforehand, and didn't even know her name until a creepy man came up to her and explained who she was. That is all she knows -- her name, how to survive, and that she is a Wildcat Shifter.

Other: Sure, she is up for love, but be warned - Mercedes is guarded, and keeps her secrets to herself.
