After Hunter walked away, Blighton let out a sigh and shook his head-almost in a disapproving way.

"You know she's right." I stated. "We really can't go there empty handed."

"I know." I replied briskly.

Without saying another word, I walked into one of the rooms. There, hanging on a door was one of those draw-string bags. Walking over and picking it up, I inspected it. It was perfect.

Now, what would we need..., I thought as I looked around the room. I didn't quite see anything in this room, so I made my way to the next. Digging thorough the drawers, I managed to find a first aid kit. Figuring that would be handy, I placed it in the back.

The next room had a small switch blade in it; I packed that too. Finding nothing else, I returned to the meeting spot. I hope the other's are alright. I wonder if Laiel is doing okay?

Spoiler
Are Laiel and her still a pairing Ranger?

Skylar- Chicago- In hiding.

Diablo faint's just a few paces from a building, I try to pick him up, but to no avial. So I grabbed him by his hands and draged him into the building, once inside I move drag him onto a couch. I sit across from him on a different couch, waiting for my inevitable death or Diablo to finally wake. I remember a few year's back when some man who had a crate of cemical's and one had spilled out but didn't realise it. Little had I know that it would turn me into a clawed freak, I look at my claws and saw the little blood they had picked up fro Diablo's face. I rub it on the couch without tearing into it. As I wait for Diablo.

Diablo Draco | In hiding with Skylar

I was home in Mexico, a feral-eyed human child of sixteen and all alone in the village. I wanted to know why my adoptive parents chose now to disown me instead of waiting two more years. My adoptive father was braver than my adoptive mother. I stood in front of my adoptive father. Por qué me negarás? Tú me pones como uno de los tuyos y ahora me negarás el día en que cumplen dieciséis años.
My adoptive father growled and pushed me off my feet. Manténgase alejado de mí y mi esposa, Diablo. Me puse en contacto con usted porque mi mujer de edad atendidos por usted. He shut the door and left me on my own.
For years until the Professor found me, I was alone and had no one else to care for but myself.

I woke up in a building and on a couch. My face was slightly bleeding. "How is my face bleeding?"
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Blighton-

Well, it looked like we were picking up a new Shifter in Chicago. I waited for Adrian and Hunter, scanning the maps on the wall, looking for a suitable path to Chicago.

Hunter walked back in," What kind of map is that?"

"That's a map describing air and water currents," I replied," Including underwater tunnels beneath ground." I continued to look over the maps, when it hit. "How could I have been so dumb?" I grumbled.

Adrian walked back in. "Alright. So how could Argo have gotten into Lake Michigan?" I didn't give them time to answer," Underwater tunnels from the ocean. And there's one not far from where we are now." I grinned.

"I'm guessing sharks, huh. What is it with you and sharks? Seriously." Hunter groaned.

"Yeah, sharks. Oh, I almost forgot. I have some new gear." I said.

I walked into an adjacent room. "Here," I held out what looked like wetsuits," Before you ask, these aren't wetsuits. They're armor, sorta. It's light weight, incredibly strong, and surprisingly comfortable. I've been working on them for a while. They weren't ready during the rebellion. There's one for every Shifter, except Kelsey, cause she's new. It will help protect against most injuries." I handed Hunter and Adrian one each.

Argo

Floating across plains, cities, whatever they were, Argo caused destruction and devastation, steadily moving away from the Shifters and deep inland. He appeared on TV as a primal monster, a god of destruction - which of course he was - with no purpouse but to destroy. To that they were wrong. He wouldn't rest until he'd kill the Shifters.
Argo stopped. Argo blinked.
Why had he been running?. Argo promptly turned again towards Chicago and flapped mightily, destruction of the Shifters again his sole aim

Finally! My first post! 8)

Mercedes~Chicago?

As I sifted through garbage for food (again), I heard screams and felt the ground tremble beneath my feet. I growled, upset that my half-meal had been interrupted. I Shifted halfway, my whiskers growing and my claws unsheathing from what used to be my nails. Using my heightened senses, I smelled... something that wasn't there the last time I shifted. It was metallic, and smelled too much of water for my liking. I could sense it's presence, large and hulking, and I knew nothing good would come of it.

I sniffed again, looking for the scents of other Shifters like the old man had told me to do. Mercedes, in the near future, there will be a monster of destruction, he had told me. And it may smell... wrong. But listen. Make sure there are the smells of other Shifters. Only engage if you smell them too. I hadn't had a clue what he was talking about at the time. But of course, it made sense now. For I could smell the blood of... a reptilian creature, though not one of the natural world. And... and a bird... and another large creature... a bear?

...Oh... The bear's smell intruigued me. It smelled... very good. I liked it. But no. I have to keep my head in the game. I'm supposed to engage. Whatever that means, I thought.

And so I set out, fully Shifted now, without knowing my purpose.

Spoiler
I hope this is okay... Lemme know if I need to fix anything! :)

Placing my bag on the floor, I then proceeded to another room the change into this new "wetsuit armor". After undressing and slipping it on, I turn and looked at myself in one of the mirrors.

The suit was skin tight and it was mainly black. On the side it did have little blue decorative line that were blue. Turning in a circle I could not help but wonder how they were going to protect us. Then again it was Blighton that told us this, and if he did then they had to work.

Walking back into main room I noticed that Blighton was already done changing and Hunter was just walking out of another room. Grabbing my bag again, I turned toward them.

"I do have one question before we go." I stated earning questioning looks from the others. "What happens if we shift in these?"

"Ah, yes. That's why it took so long to make. The suit will shift with you. This suit is very special. There's some special gadgets in it," I winked, "Let's go."

I headed out towards the ocean and walked on the sand, letting the cold water lapp over my feet. We kept walking until I spotted a man wearing only a loincloth not far ahead. I ran forward," Callahan! Adrian, Hunter, this is Callahan my shark general. I have given him the ability to become human for a small amount of time."

I then faced Callahan and made several motions with my body and small clacking noises. He responded in kind.

"What are you doing?" Hunter asked on the verge of laughing.

"I'm communicating. Sharks communicate by making small noises and body motions. We're set to go. The saltwater sharks shall escort us to the freshwater tunnel, where freeshwater sharks will escort us to Lake Michigan. Pick whatever shark you want to ride on," I motioned to the dozens of fins that rose out of the water," and press the button on the inside of your collar to use a gelatin-like substance that will allow you to breathe."

I stood in the water watching Callahan. "We'll go when you're ready." I said.

Skylar - In hiding with Diablo

"From my claws, remember? I caught you across the face." I said.

I leaned back on the couch and crossed my legs as he sat up trying to wake up, I swear he was checking me out. Cause as he woke up his eyes continuedly darted between my face and my leg's, I snapped my finger's caughting his attention. He looked at me surprised but quickly went back to the way he usually acted.

I padded into the open street, the pavement smooth under my paws. There were no cars, no people. They must have all fled once they smelled the ancient.... Oh, wait. No human can smell like I can... I did the wildcat form of a sarcastic expression. I was still getting used to being different. Being in my Shifted form, though it made me feel complete, bothered me. Any time that I Shifted, I remembered that I wasn't human. I wasn't normal. And although I couldn't recall anything from my past, my gut told me this wasn't the first time I had felt this way.

Instinctively, my tail twitched, and I stopped walking. I could sense myself getting nearer and nearer to the wrong... thing. I still couldn't place what it was. But I could also smell the bear. It... he, it definitely smelled like a "he"... was much closer. I wanted him. It was a primal necessity, an instinctive drive to the goodness that enveloped him. I didn't know whether I would keep my head when I met him, saw him, for the first time.

I started to jog -- or at least the wildcat equivalent -- toward the clashing smells. Dimly, I could hear the sounds of voices, both animal and human. Shifter voices. My ears pricked forward, and suddenly I felt the desire to meet others like me. They could help me. Understand me like no one else could.

Filled with these needs, I sprinted towards the clamoring and clashing sounds and smells that I knew would drive me to my destiny.

For just a second, Hunter nor I moved. We were too busy staring at the water, wondering if it mattered which one we picked. Taking a deep breath, I started toward the tide. I could clearly remember the last time I was around sharks, and was pleasantly surprised that their was not fear associated with the memory.

Diving in the water, she swam toward the swarm of sharks. Once in the middle, she looked around. Right as she was about to pick one, a different one started to circle her. She watched it for a minute, then realized what it wanted. It wanted her to pick it. When it swam by the next time, she grabbed on the fin, pressed the button and le the shark take her underwater.

Hunter and adrian grabbed a shark's dorsal fin and clicked their buttons. I shifted and dove in after them. The sharks swam as fast as they could. After about thirty miles, we switched with a new group of fresh sharks. This procedure continued until we reached Lake Michigan.

I surfaced to see the city of Chicago in ruins. Hunter and Adrian appaered besides me. We reached the coast. "Try and find the rest of the Shifters, I assume that they're spread out after the attack." I said.

I smelled the air and found the scent of Cameron."Hi. I'm Blighton. You called me." I smiled and stuck out hand.

I ran towards the intermingling scents of bear and ancient wrongness. My paws hit the ground with soft thuds, my breathing coming in short bursts. I angled my whiskers so they were in a different position every other second, trying to gain as much information of my surroundings as I could so I wouldn't be ambushed.

As I ran past buildings, I thought about what I would do. I'm insane... I don't even have a plan... I'll probably die... were the most common thoughts, interrupting any battle plan I might be trying to make.

But then there was another, illogical side of me that was telling me that I wouldn't die. There was something keeping me tethered to the Earth, and even if I had wanted to, I wouldn't have gone into the unknown Beyond.

With fresh determination, I pounded ever harder and faster against the hard pavement until I reached the water. I stopped about ten feet from the water's edge, along the boardwalk. I smelled him. Sensed him. Where was he? I pricked up my ears and listened. I heard a person's voice. Male.

"Try and find the rest of the Shifters, I assume that they're spread out after the attack." There was a pause. "Hi. I'm Blighton. You called me." I scanned the coast for him. I could smell him very clearly. A fishy smell. But it wasn't a tasty smell, because there was a human quality to the smell also. He was a Shifter too. I tried to find him, but before I could I saw the one I had been looking for. Him. The Bear Shifter.

After we hit land, I glanced around. It took a second for the shock to fade. Chicago was in pieces, rubble of buildings laying around and crushed cars. The worst part to me was the fact that every time I breathed, I could smell the stench of the dead. The chills shot up my spine just thinking about all the people who had been killed.

Shaking my head a little, I tilted my nose to the air. Taking a deep breath, I manage to ignore the other smells and find the one I was looking for, Laiel. I took off in the direction that I smelled him in, shifting as I ran.

It took me a couple minutes, but I found the spot where his smell was coming from. My stomach dropped when I realized that it was coming from underneath the rubble of a building. Fanatically, I ran over, adrenaline pumping though my veins. Shifting back to human and sitting on my knees, I started to dig.

After what felt like forever, I manage to clear the rubble around Laiel. My hands were bruised and they had little scraps on there, but he there was. After a second, he just laid there, unmoving.

"Laiel?" I whispered, my breath coming in a deep grasping rhythm. Nothing.

Tentatively, I crawled over and checked his pulse. I was greeted-and relived-by the faint beating that was hammering in his chest. I sat there for a second, unsure of what to do. Taking a calming breath, I decided the first thing that I needed to do was make sure nothing was still bleeding. Much to my relief nothing was.

Now there was nothing I could do but wait. I maneuvered myself so that I was sitting my his head. Gently, I picked up his head and laid it on my lap. Running my fingers though his main, I started to sing softly.
